So, as the curator of the local Omnath, Locus of Mana primer thread, it behooved me to be the first person out of the gate to create a list with the newly spoiled Omnath, Locus of Rage leading the pack.
One thing I discovered building this list is that there's certainly a lot of synergies available, more than you can possibly pack into the deck. Obviously there are synergies with tokens, elementals and ramp. One thing I thought would also be appropriate, given how well this card plays with Titania, Protector of Argoth, is to also add a land recursion theme (which happens to dovetail nicely with the overall rampy nature of the deck).
So, without further ado, here is the list I've devised thus far!
Obviously the deck isn't yet finished, for various reasons. Obviously it's a prototype and subject to any of the usual revision that playtesting will bring to light. Also, given that BFZ hasn't yet been fully spoiled (only a handful of cards have been spoiled as of me typing this), it's entirely possible that some yet-to-be-revealed cards will make the cut, especially given how BFZ will feature both Landfall and elemental synergy as mechanics.
As such, I'm welcome to any suggestions the community would care to offer. Additionally, I'll try to add write-ups explaining my card choices as time goes on. But for now, enjoy!
Thoughts:
- Liege of the Tangle: The fact that this card leaves an entire turn cycle between the time you turn your lands into elementals and the time you get to attack with them makes me extremely wary. Board wipes are simply too common for the risk associated with this card to be worthwhile, powerful though it might be.
- Flamekin Harbinger: Had it in my initial speculative list, but it didn't make the cut. There are very few creatures that this can fetch which other tutors can't also get, and this deck isn't sporting any non-creature Tribal Elemental cards (e.g. Eyes of the Wisent).
- Elemental Mastery: If the tokens this card creatures were sacrificed instead of exiled, this would absolutely make the cut. They aren't, so it doesn't. In order to really make it work, I'd have to add more sac outlets such as Ashnod's Altar and Phyrexian Altar while cutting other, more consistent cards. It also does precious little without Omnath in play, and is a big potential 2-for-1.
- Kavu Lair: Strictly worse than Elemental Bond, both because the threshold for being usable for me is higher, but also because it's symmetrical, also benefiting my opponents.
- Garruk's Packleader: Also part of my initial speculative list which didn't make the final cut.
- Perilous Forays: Now THIS is something I can get behind. Plays well with both of Omnath's abilities making for excellent value, and is still perfectly usable even without Omnath on the field. I'll definitely try to slot this in.
- Scapeshift: Already have it. This is one of the very earliest cards which I chose for the list.
Could be risky but Worldgorger Dragon + Life's Legacy might be amusing, to blink Omnath and all your lands, with Purphorous added its pretty much the game.
Must play Lotus Cobra. Lower your curve. Bump up your land count to the low-mid 40's. Consider draw engines like Horn of Greed, Recycle, Seer's Sundial. Your general costs 7 so its paramount you get to Oracle as early as you can; try adding more tutors for her.
I thought about it, but I figured the universe would explode if both versions were on the field at the same time. If Omnath is matter then Roidnath (one of several clever nicknames I've dreamed up for Omnath v2, such as Omnamental and Om-mad) is anti-matter. If they were ever to touch, we'd all be vaporized.
In all seriousness, Omnath v1 paints a huge target on his head, and without the ability to a) recur him regularly, such as when he's your commander, and b) abuse his battery qualities, he just doesn't fit.
I made several changes to the list this morning, and added a change log to the OP.
One difficult decision I made was to, at least for now, exclude the Doubling Season + Parallel Lives package. It sounds odd, but they seemed to be the least effective of all the enchantments, and I also needed the space for creatures. I also upped the land count from 37 to 39. Baby steps.
Just had some fun gold-fishing. On turn 7, I created 19 Elementals, 19 Beasts, triggered Purphoros 32 times and cast Comet Storm with 3 targets for 501 damage each.
I threw together a similar but more budget list on Cockatrice and gave it a whirl against my friend's Scion deck 1v1. Went 1-2, but both games I lost I had lethal next turn and he won off of a topdeck. Omnath does serious work.
Now, my thoughts. Tornado Elemental is awesome flying hate, and this deck could really use ways of shutting down the skies. Shared Animosity is a serious wincon. Depending on how deep you go into the Elemental theme (seems like you cut some already, though), Flamekin Harbinger and Incandescent Soulstoke are pretty important. Even if not, Smokebraider goes far to ramp out Omnath. Seedguide Ash definitely needs to go in: it contributed to one near-win and one win as you'll soon read. Finally, Clan Defiance is a really flexible fireball. I used it in one game with Omnath on the board to kill my own Seedguide Ash, kill my opponent's Scion and hit him for 4, getting three Elementals in the process. Fun!
There aren't that many cards at first glance that stand out as underwhelming... Inner-Flame Igniter and Spellbreaker Behemoth seem to be the most obvious cuts, to me.

Nissa's Renewal has just been spoiled. Is it viable or too pricey?
Also, I'd consider Nylea, God of the Hunt to help out with combat. Gruul Charm and Ground Assault could be helpful too. Glad to hear the deck's been such a blast!
price of glory? Counter protection and a way to produce 5/3's off Titania?
Price of Glory is broken not just for counter protection but also for removal that wants to be done at end of turn. It also hinders people who like to flash things in during someone else's turn. It also possibly shuts down Seedborn Muse and Prophet of Kruphix for fear of losing one's lands. However, since it destroys lands and it's not making the controller sacrifice them, it can be easily bypassed by Terra Eternal, Pyramids, Avacyn, Angel of Hope, and the like. Still, it's a very good card to include.

Pretty much exactly what I was thinking. Shuts down people's other turn shenanigans while creating one of your own. End of opponents turn 5/3's are definitely nice, especially with crucible of worlds.
I also like Regal Force. Your going to have a lot of tokens out on the field with this deck so its going to normally draw you quite a few cards. It's also a 5/5 elemental that will trigger Omnath when it hits the graveyard. A 5/5 body is also nice for those Where Ancients Tread and Warstorm Surge triggers.
The big problem I'm having this far is that, while this general brings a TON of possible synergies to the table, they're all REALLY expensive, mana-wise. Trying to find the right balance between synergistic cards and the ramp, draw and tutors necessary to play them is quite tricky.
I've been brainstorming about this guy alot lately too, Im a little worried about your basic land count though. Seems like only 14 is too few.
Perhaps trimming out some of the nonbasics (cycle lands perhaps?) and some of the low impact creatures such as Inner-flame igniter, Generator Servant, Magus of the Library, and Spellbreaker Behemoth.
I played Omnath yesterday a couple games.
My list is similar to yours, except I run 40 Lands (32 basics), almost all green ramp spells and nonbasic hate (blood moon + magus).
What about cards like Devastation? With Omnath, Locus of Rage and Titania, Protector of Argoth in play it's basically game over. Either way, running Jokulhaups and Obliterate as well means that you're the only one to gain from the epic board wipe and usually a massive scoop ensues afterwards. They're also good standalone cards in case other players are too far ahead. Of course, these 3 cards are frowned upon in most circles so use at your own risk.
