dude, parallax wave. exile problematic creatures your opponent controls and flicker pw so they are gone forever or just remove 5 of your creatures and let them come back to the party.
Cool list.
Think I'll add Armada Wurm, especially since I run Greater Good + Saffi/Gift. Seems spectacular actually.
I see most lists running redundant blink effects. The only enabling I run aside from Roon and some Saffi sac shenanigans is Mistmeadow. She's an early drop, a backup enabler, and skullclamp-able so I like her. Beyond that I'm not sold, especially since the tuck rule changed and commanders are more reliable.
As for your list, Mangara over Fiend Hunter? They both lend themselves to abuse, but doesn't hunter do it better?
You run a good amount of fetch sorcery and abilities. Temple of the False God seems good.
Yeah, I cut down on the blink effects, though I really like Venser, the Sojourner because he also acts as a win con with his negative ability, and DEN is really really powerful. Roon gets very expensive as he gets killed, so some backup has been nice for me.
I definitely prefer Mangara of Corondor over Fiend Hunter, since the former can hit any permanent, while the latter is restricted to creatures.
I swapped out sunblast angel for armada wurm and seems like a good thing so far. In situations where I am out gunned on the battlefield it's almost always spike weaver i want, not sunblast. I want more muscle in the deck, and armada does this.
I might try Mangara over Archon of Justice. Mangara is definitely better with Roon, but Archon plays well with Greater Good, Birthing Pod, Phyrexian Altar + Saffi, Gift, Pattern suite. It's a tough call because both are so situational and good in their own way. I wouldn't run it over Fiend Hunter though. I have multiple lines to find Fiend Hunter as an answer to an immediate threat and often have to. Can't always rely on Duplicant. Sower would be a good addition too.
Kiora, Master of the Depths - Not only does Roon want to untap, but he wants to pass with open mana to activate. Kiora's first ability does both of these. Her second ability is just gravy for creature-centric builds, particularly ones that like to tutor creatures to the top of the library (sylvan and worldly tutor here). Her ultimate provides a great excuse to acquire some of those epic octopus tokens.
Greenwarden of Murasa - I play a sac/recursion engine in my list so there are ways to abuse both triggers. 4 ways to sac it, 3 ways to loop it back. Also can clone it. I'll be testing.
Bring to Light - The card everyone is going to play. Might as well play it too.
Retreat to Coralhelm - A goodstuff card that could make the cut. More untap action for Roon fueled facilitated by lots of fetching triggers. Plus scrying is always welcome.
Love the inclusion of Gift of Immortality, it's a card I've been switching in and out of my own build and I'd love to find room for it again. The synergy with Sakura-Tribe Elder is especially sweet. However, my deck doesn't run sac-effects except from Skullclamp, and it was sometimes a dead card even though it can both flicker and protect. Do you find that it brings enough value to warrant a slot even without the sac-engines, or would you cut it if you didn't run them?
I have found Gift to be underwhelming at times and amazing at other times. Even without sac outlets if you face alot of destroy effects it's decent insurance. Aside from Tribe Elder it's fantastic with Glen Elendra, Spike Weaver, and Saffi too.
I guess my biggest question would be why the hell aren't you running Birthing Pod and Greater Good? They're sooo good!
Mangara of Corondor > Fiend Hunter because Mangara can exile anything by merely tapping and you can blink it in response so the exile ability goes to the stack but not Mangara.

You're going to have a very hard time using that recursion with that second trigger, unless you're making token copies.
Archon is my creature that can exile any permanent. I want same turn triggers. Mangara is too slow to function as an "answer" slot. Maybe if I shifted farther into a control list or ran stuff like stoneforge into boots.
@bobthefunny the second trigger is a may, so it can etb loop like a witness all it wants, or just utilize the second trigger. You are right in that you can not really "abuse" the second trigger.
Any reason you don't run Boonweaver Giant? You run all the pieces for the Boonweaver combo - even a few sacrifice outlets - it should be easy to slot in. More details here.
I used to play broken loops in Saffi.
My only auras are gift, pattern, and song and they are just for value and function.
That's a cool karador link though. When I was building a new edh deck it came down to either Roon or Karador. I chose Roon because I was more interested in goodstuff and incremental board positioning than big combo stuff since I played so much combo already. There's definitely some combo elements to Roon, but I don't focus on them.

I was clearly inflicted with a case of the stupid when I wrote this; the intervening if blocks tokens from using the second ability as well. Kinda obnoxious. Tokens will be removed by SBAs before you can exile them with the ability, thus, no use.
It really is a 6 mana E.wit, with a "break incase of emergency" glass on it. Which is fine; so long as that's what you're expecting.
True.
In a vacuum it's a 6 mana E.wit, with a "break incase of emergency" glass on it, but in my build it's also an increment on the Birthing Pod chain, a target for Fierce Empath, and a positive net with Greater Good.
