I was a HUGE fan of Worldfire before it was banned and The Great Aurora (TGA) is a similar card in some respects. While I do love building theme decks and do intend to include TGA in my forthcoming Nissa, Vastwood Seer deck, this deck's sole purpose is to maximize The Great Aurora without flavor restrictions.
DECK CREATION
My first thoughts when I saw The Great Aurora were how to cast it and win that turn. My mind immediately jumped to ways to increase my number of permanents and hand size, while reducing my opponents' numbers of the same. Nath of the Gilt-Leaf accomplishes half of my goals and the colors provide plenty of ways
Curious why this is being called combo? Are we hoping from Aurora into death cloud all their lands but we drew more cards so we win? Chances are, they will have drawn some sort of counter magic.

I feel like you thought I was hating, I also realize I probably came off that way. I apologize, I actually love this list. I've been working on something very similar for my list, but the "Make all lands swamps, kek while you can't play, wait out your hand getting destroyed" plan I was on was really boring.

The deck is winning as expected, via making The Great Aurora effect asymmetrical as planned. Now in the process of determining which opposing strategies present the most challenges. Originally, went (almost) all in for a glass cannon-type approach. After more games, am figuring out the deck's weaknesses and which ones are worth addressing.
The hybrid artifact-sorcery ramp suite has been astounding. Have actually untapped with almost nine mana on turn two.
When the deck wins, it usually does so on the same turn as The Great Aurora is cast, so life total is generally only a concern when it dictates access to more cards.
ADDED
Toxic Deluge (for the indestructible)
Damnation (for most everything else)
Vraska the Unseen (potentially reusable)
Reliquary Tower (maintain hand size for The Great Aurora)

I'm confused. If you want your gameplan to be "resolve a nine-mana sorcery in G/B and win on the spot," why not just make it Tooth and Nail?
Too easy, mate.
I created a thread a while back that most posters didn't understand on whether folks constructed decks for inevitable wins or not. I don't. I enjoy building competitive interactive decks, even Stax. I like games where my opponents are potentially able to disrupt my plans with something besides countermagic (as Tooth and Nail is often stopped).

I like the idea of building around this card for fun. I was thinking more along the lines of prosh Storm combo though it leaves your GY alone is insane with tokens Etc what's your win% thus far when it resolves I know it's not what your going for but if I resolve a 9 mana sorcery I expect to win XD. With your GY untouched being insane with tokens makes empty the warrens awesome and giving you a giant timespiral that leaves your GY open for yawgwin / past in flames. I know it's not really what your going for here but I do very much fear counters trying to win with this card city of solitude effects are ok but your whiling them away with your enabler I think duress / seize would be worth the slots as cheap wats to not only resolve this spell but clear a path once it resolves while wheeling myojin can end a game it's a counter away from backfiring at that mana cost. Must be countered cards like city are great if your running haste outlets like crossroads how maybe xantid swarm?

If I resolve a nine-mana sorcery, I expect E P I C N E S S ! The only thing I enjoy more than participating in an epic win is having a hand in an epic loss, even my own. That being typed, however, I've been winning when TGA resolves and, even better, I've managed to resolve it against countermagic.
Not much new to report, just more of the same: When The Great Aurora resolves, we win. The following change makes resolving TGA even easier than it already was:
ADDED
Sadistic Hypnotist (thanks, kealsera!)
REMOVED
Blackcleave Goblin (no evasion)

Played against two U mages. Still won (via infect). The deck's ramp package is almost its own win condition. Cast The Great Aurora, drew 20 cards from it, and dropped eight lands immediately (and that's not counting the ramp in hand). With so much ramp, it's just a matter of baiting opponents with must-answer spells:
More games, more changes. Even without casting The Great Aurora, the deck wins handily with Hatred and Triumph of the Hordes. An opponent's explosive start — land & mana dork on turn one; land, Sol Ring, & Natural Order for Terastodon on turn two — got me thinking about turn two land ramp. The following changes were made with that in mind:
REMOVED
Megrim (almost always end up cutting this…)
Liliana's Caress (…and this from every deck I'd originally included them in; cute, but worthless)
Skirge Familiar (great post-The Great Aurora; not so much pre-Aurora with Necropotence out)
Mistcutter Hydra (Gaea's Revenge does it better)
Descent Into Madness (love this card, but it's too slow; might make it back in, though)

A part of me really wants to run this combo in a Jund Shell to include Solfatara.
I was just about to mention cutting the Megrim's but I see you've taken care of that already. As you said they just end up being cutesy. That said, great deck.

Need some Pox up in this *****. Yes, it's less controllable than Death Cloud, but it's a powerful effect that is not symmetrical at all in this deck.
Right now, I like having Death Cloud's effect as a one-of. I can always tutor for it and recur it. Though often devastating when cast with this deck, it's rare that I want to even cast Cloud given The Great Aurora's mana cost. I view many (if not most or all) of the deck's cards in pre- and post-Aurora terms: Is this card useful before or after I cast Aurora (or both)? Will it help me if Aurora doesn't go off as planned? Considering my intent is always to win before or during the turn I cast Aurora, a second Cloud effect doesn't help me as much. Pox would be great if cast after Praetor's Counsel, when I have all the land ramp I'd used back in hand, but I find that situation contingent on too many variables for my liking.
I really like your decklist and I've been meaning to build a regular old discard Nath sometime in the future. I just had a quick question. Does Putrefax work? He is a cool creature, but unless you can recur him a bunch of times, he doesnt seem very useful, especially if you have multiple opponents. Sure, he can get 1-hit K.Os with hatred, but that's about it.

The hybrid artifact-sorcery ramp suite has been astounding. Have actually untapped with almost nine mana on turn two.
The infect wins to date have been accomplished with Triumph of the Hordes.
Mages fond of countermagic have been stymied by City of Solitude cast when they tap out.
Myojin of Night's Reach with Leyline of the Void has been devastating for opponents. The Leyline is just icing when the Myojin's counter is removed post-The Great Aurora.
When the deck wins, it usually does so on the same turn as The Great Aurora is cast, so life total is generally only a concern when it dictates access to more cards.
