NOTE: I've dismantled this deck. Mostly I just got bored of it.
Most of the time you see people building Elves EDH decks, they're using Ezuri, Renegade Leader as the general.
When I decided to build my elves deck, I settled upon Freyalise, Llanowar's Fury.
While Ezuri is definitely a good card, I've found Freya to be a little more resilient any time the game goes a bit longer.
I've found that she works better for a multiplayer setting than Ezuri does. His line of play is very linear, and with more than one opponent to kill you need to build too much board presence before his Overrun ability gets big enough to do the trick. Really, it comes down Freya being a little better for a combo elves build, while Ezuri wants to just be straight overrun.
The main plan here is usually to play Freya on turn 3, then tick her up a couple times, and very frequently win on turn 5 when her ultimate goes off, or sooner with things like Regal Force or Shamanic Revelation.
For only being five turns there's an awful lot going on there. That sample game represents a fairly average draw. There are a fair number of redundancies in the deck, allowing for accomplishing the same, or similar, with different cards pretty regularly.
A few notes:
The two best mana dorks in the deck to have in an opening hand are Joraga Treespeaker and Devoted Druid, purely on the fact that they can both cast a turn 3 Freya without help. All you need is three lands plus one of those two, and you get to turn 3 Freya.
One of the really sweet things about Freya is that, if you already have something to refill your hand or if you need to (like for certain hate cards), you can use Freya's "-2: Naturalize" to mess with the people who may cause you problems.
Karametra's Acolyte, while not actually an Elf, is absolutely insane in this deck, and should not be underestimated.
Also, there are a few ways to infinite combo here.
The list goes on and on with different combination of mostly the cards I already listed up there. Most of the combinations only make infinite mana, but any of the ones involving Staff of Domination generally just win the game on the spot.
Anyway, there's my list. Any and all feedback/questions/comments/concerns/etc welcome.

The main plan here is usually to play Freya on turn 3, then tick her up a couple times, and very frequently win on turn 5 when her ultimate goes off, or sooner with things like Regal Force or Shamanic Revelation.
Example:
Turn 1: Forest, Elvish Mystic
Turn 2: Forest, Devoted Druid, Copperhorn Scout
Turn 3: Deserted Temple, Freyalise, Llanowar's Fury, +2 Freya, attack with Copperhorn Scout, Elvish Harbinger putting Elvish Archdruid on top
Turn 4: Thousand-Year Elixir, Elvish Archdruid, +2 Freya, Soul of the Harvest, Quirion Ranger, attack with Copperhorn Scout, Eldrazi Monument
Turn 5: -6 Freya, Regal Force, Gaea's Cradle, Genesis Wave for 31, revealing Akroma's Memorial, Craterhoof Behemoth, and bunch of other stuff that doesn't matter anymore, win
For only being five turns there's an awful lot going on there. That sample game represents a fairly average draw. There are a fair number of redundancies in the deck, allowing for accomplishing the same, or similar, with different cards pretty regularly.
