When I first saw Thalia, Guardian of Thraben, thoughts of a Joan of Arc theme deck immediately jumped to mind. However, I put it off for years. After gathering more experience with the stax archetype, I returned to the idea. I like playing against and with stax for the challenging gameplay. I'm also quite fond of nonlinear decks. Depending on early draws, Jehanne la Pucelle can function like an aggressive token deck or a traditional control deck. The one constant is that it will wipe the board REPEATEDLY, sometimes twice in one turn. As always, the deck includes some flavorful choices that might seem odd at first glance, but each has a mechanical purpose.
Here are some of the deck's themes:
major players in Jehanne's life
LOTS of artifact ramp
a flavorful and interesting engine for life gain and card advantage
defense like a siege tower
resource denial in the extreme
removal for days
Jehanne la Pucelle is an austere deck fanatically galloping toward one goal, freedom from English tyranny. In its singleminded purpose, the deck is a bit of a tyrant itself.
I just want to say that I enjoy your Vorthosian take on decks. Very cool stuff. As for the deck itself, I feel like Brimaz would slot into here nicely. He ignores orb effects and is particularly effective after a MLD spell. He's also a king, so maybe that fits flavor wise as well. Heliod is also a possible fit, both mechanics and flavor wise.

If only Charles VII had been as brave as Brimaz. Heliod would be an analogue for G-D and it doesn't sit well with me to include G-D in a deck. But, mechanically, both choices are excellent!

Thalia is generally more of a white-weenie strategy than a big-things artifact-focused stax strategy. Given that it seems like you want to do Thalia, I'd suggest loading up on 1-3 mana creatures that do staxy things, and dropping the number of other shenanigans. The token subtheme is potentially fine, but you may need more support, especially creature-based. I like a lot of what's in this deck, but there are certainly cards that could be cut for better or completely different options.
That said, I get that you want to have this Joan of Arc flavor with Thalia. I think you can manage that even with a creature focus, though.
Some random underwhelming things, a few of which may have reasonably straight-forward replacements:
I LOVE this build! The lore is so cool to build around, though with the opening picture being so Angelic, I can't help wonder if Angelic Destiny was considered?
Not sure how actually good they are, but the flavor of both Evangelize and/or Preacher fits this deck almost perfectly. Witch Hunter for giggles, too.
Evangelize was actually one of the cards that was preselected to represent Saint Catherine's work. Preacher lacks the medieval flavor I was going for. Witch Hunter is a fantastic suggestion! I would definitely run it if I were to do a creature-heavy version of the deck.

Wow, that was fast! It feels like I just sent you that private message. Thanks for the rapid response, mate!
I agree that Thalia works well with small creatures, yet she's been incredibly effective for me as the commander of a Stax deck. I have plenty of creature removal — I have plenty of removal, period — and her tax on noncreature spells has worked really well to slow down my opponents' answers to my strategy.
I understand your suggestions and they are much appreciated! After all, I did reach out to you for counsel. Presence's role is both thematic and functional, ditto for the creature cards. I've never been a fan of Bridge, however, because it's so conditional. Retribution has been an absolute house in the deck and Elspeth Tirel would wipe out my artifacts if I attempted to use it in similar fashion. Rout doesn't hit the 'walkers Retribution was specifically included to address. Nodes has kept me alive too many times to count. I particularly like it post-Cataclysm.

Thanks, Jr.!
Destiny was actually not considered. Joan was canonized but she's no Angel. Not a fan of Auras in general outside of decks that can maximize their use via lots of graveyard recursion or protect the targeted creature with countermagic.

Damn you, Possibility Storm! Despite having answers in almost every card type, an opponent's Storm cost me a recent game. Such is life. As with most of my decks, Jehanne la Pucelle shrugs off its commander being tucked. Dominated most of the aforementioned game with Baneslayer Angel and Winter Orb.

I love themed decks. Joan of Arc is a very inspiring saint. I'd suggest Holy Day and Entreat the Angels. Perhaps Gift of Immortality since she goes on to become an immortal saint since it's not your typical aura?
Jehanne is said to have mentioned three saints guiding them as opposed to an angelic host. Each (Margaret, Catherine, and Michael) is already represented in the deck.

Jehanne died. They were wrongfully executed. I want to honor the reality of their end. All the oops-our-bad canonization in the world doesn't return Jehanne to life. Jehanne la Pucelle is a transcription of the historical record as I've researched it. The deck's supernatural elements (the saints, the dragon) are included only because they are part of Jehanne's experience while alive. I included the dragon so that Margaret's purported deed could be acted out within the deck.
As I understand it, neither Martin V or Eugene IV had anything to do with Jehanne's life and death. This deck is about Jehanne la Pucelle, not Saint Joan. Again, Jehanne's martyrdom, beatification, and canonization had no impact on their experiences while alive.

Secure the Wastes is strictly better than Conqueror's Pledge. The flavor could be defending the countryside or something, although France doesn't have much of a desert that I'm aware of. Otherwise I really enjoyed the flavor and a few stax-like ideas this gave me for my Obzedat, Ghost Council list/
