I just finished a game where I discovered how ridiculous Inventors' Fair can be. I had the Fair and a few mana rocks out on the field among other things, and then something just clicked in my head. I used the Fair to tutor for Crucible of Worlds, allowing me to replay the Fair and tutor every turn. That got out of hand very quickly. On my next turn, I searched for Darksteel Forge and got it out, replayed the Fair from my graveyard, and grabbed Nev Disk on the turn after that. It was very good it was not even funny.

I mean, I think it's funny but mostly because I have a weird sense of humor based on awesome Daretti plays lol...
I was just wondering if you forsee any changes having moved metas. I personally love infinite mana combos but I know your old LGS frowned upon it. Has your stance changed?

Not really, the meta move has forced me to be more casual still since it's more kitchen table builds and less competitive. Prizes are awarded by record and then you 'give a pack' to someone who you feel played cool/fair.
The move is also why there have been less updates lately - I am making a lot of little changes here and there to have fun. I should have something more formal coming up, but it's a huge pain to update the Primer for every little change.

I sometimes have a difficult time doing updates as well. Although, it's fairly easy when you're only updating a couple cards every now and then.
What are your thoughts on Oracle's Vault? I think it could be really good, especially for those running Paradox Engine.

I think it's a niche card that can be added to anyone's list if they want to got that way. It's also decent for any proliferate type deck too, so I'm excited to see it for that reason.

In: Combustible Gearhulk, Quicksmith Genius, Aetherworks Marvel
Out: Forcefield, Blood Moon, Blinkmoth Urn
Reason: Formalizing the changes I made a bit ago, so these aren't really 'new'. The 3 cards I formally added where what I enjoyed significantly from Kaladesh. The cuts were because more often one card was irrelevant (Forcefield), one was too 'hatey' in my new store (Blood Moon), and one provided ramp that was a little late/unnecessary (Blinkmoth Urn). The additions are spelled out inside the thread and card discussions, so see those sections for the major details

How's Marvel been working for you? I had real high hopes for it, but I never seemed to get any value off of it.

It's fun in casual games and not as dependable as I would like, but I've enjoyed the results enough to keep it in the list. It gets counters relatively easily based on how Daretti will sacrifice things as well as Goblin Welder, Trading Post, and Slobad, Goblin Tinkerer over the course of a game. Of the cards listed, it really makes Trading Post even more advantageous and definitely something I try to get into play more often.
If you wanted to run Blood Moon, what card would you take out?
Quicksmith Genius honestly. If you want to be competitive still, then I'd probably cut Aetherworks Marvel instead. I really liked Blood Moon for my competitive games, but it was just too mean for the more casual setting, which is where this deck exists now.
So I am retiring this Primer effective today. Ever since moving back in 2016, I have not played nearly as much MTG and have slowly been scaling back on my cards, selling some off or just giving to close friends, to the point now I haven't even purchased or put any effort into recent sets at all. I continued to maintain effort into this site, but I can clearly tell that I am not that into it anymore...
To whomever reads this material and finds any future inspirations, I am glad you utilized my thread in any way possible. May your future games go awesomely!

Well...this is very unfortunate. I, too, have unofficially retired my deck and sold off the physical copy of it. After seeing this, I’m giving some consideration to keeping mine alive via online playing until the time comes for me to put it together IRL. Much thinking to do...
Still, very sad to see this happen. You and ISB were my inspirations for building the deck.

I am actually looking to revive my spellslinger version. I am also a little intrigued by the question of if you could make a creature ETB / Token focused Daretti given some of the crazy things like Panharmonicon & Purphoros, God of the Forge that we have gotten in the last few years. In my opinion Daretti does not have to be a pure artificer assuming you can come up with a list of artifacts that are good enough to put focus into defending and cycling back into play.
I just love throwing around my Hammer of Bogardan. God I love that card for ridiculous sentimental reason lol. Still, nobody wants to recast their commander when you murder him with Hammer of Bogardan and you are sitting there with your Gauntlet of Might

Just saw it was spoiled and it looks like it could be a real versatile addition for Daretti.
