Introduction

This is my Sydri, Galvanic Genius deck. It's very much a work in progress, but since there is currently only one Sydri deck in the database, I thought I would offer up the deck here to get some idea for improvements and to help anyone else trying to build a Sydri deck.

Deck and Commander History

Sydri was introduced in the Commander 2013 "Eternal Bargain" deck in Esper colors. The deck as it currently stands is about 20 cards off of the stock "Eternal Bargain" deck, making it a fairly reasonable deck to construct if you picked that up or can get it for a reasonable price (unfortunately, the deck is now the 2nd most expensive 2013 deck to buy on the secondary market after Mind Seize.)

Strategy and Synergies

This deck tries to play off the key abilities Sydri offers:
1) Making non creature artifacts into artifact creatures
2) Giving artifact creatures lifelink.
3) Giving artifact creatures deathtouch.

A fourth category would be synergies that don't rely on Sydri. Breaking these down by category, here are some common synergies you can exploit in this deck:

1) Make artifacts into creatures:
Sydri + Mycosynth Lattice (or to a lesser extent, Liquimetal Coating) for land destruction.

Syrdi + Arcum Dagsson + any artifact = sac to put any non-creature artifact in your deck into play

Sydri + Vanish into Memory + artifact = draw cards, no discard, possibly save the artifact (or get opponent's artifact off table).

2) Lifelink:
Sydri + any artifact + Sanguine Bond = lifelink, doubled damage

Lifelink artifacts power life gain shenanigans with Well of Lost Dreams and Orloro.

3) Deathtouch:
Sydri + Staff of Nin (or any other pinger you care to put in) = kill anything

Sydri + Caltrops = kill all attackers

4) Other synergies:
Time Sieve + tokens from Thopter Assembly, Myr Battlesphere, or Sharding Sphinx for extra turns.

Venser, the Sojourner or Conjurer's Closet can recur Trinket Mage, Myr Battlesphere, Magister Sphinx or Sharuum the Hegemon for value.

Darksteel Forge + Mycosynth Lattice + Nevinyrral's Disk = destroy everyone's stuff but yours every turn. (Omitting the lattice will kill your non artifact creatures and Planeswalkers and leave opponents' lands and planeswalkers, but can still be pretty useful.)

I'm specifically avoiding some of the Sharuum combos, like the disciple of the vault combo. I have also not yet put the Exquisite Blood combo in.

Changes under consideration
I realize the deck is a little top heavy, and I am looking at trimming it down a bit while maintaining interesting and powerful interactions.

The are some easy additions that could be made, like some cheaper answers and a few more counterspells.
