A few other things just caught my eye as well. I don't particularly like Drana as one of the 99. She's a great mana-sink voltron-ish commander, but if you're primarily dealing infect damage with Skithiryx, she's pretty meh. Similarly with Geth, I probably wouldn't be too interested in stealing other people's stuff because I'm beating face to 10 poison with Skitties. For the same reasons, I like both Sword of Feast and Famine and Sword of Fire and Ice better than Light and Shadow, since there's nothing of extreme importance for you to get back from your yard. You can always recast Skitties with all your big mana in black.
And then some stuff just seems suboptimal, given that you don't seem to be on a strict budget. Quag Sickness, for example, could be any number of actual hard removal spells.
This deck is really new and still has some bugs to work out. I think I've only played it like 3, maybe 4 times. It's funny because as I was posting it I was noticing some of the stuff you pointed out, specifically the card draw. What would you run over Quag Sickness? I thought of Doom Blade or Go For the Throat but I didn't like the restrictions on them and figured the sickness can also get around indestructible. I do need to work an edict or two in here.
My biggest problem is that I get way more time for deck construction than I do for actual play so I make all these decks but it takes forever to play them enough to work the kinks out. My Numot deck is the exception because it's a really old deck. It looks crazy on paper but plays very well.
Edit: just read this a second time and it sunk in more...

Very good points. When I was building the deck I liked the idea of swapping out generals here and there but really there's not point. My goal is to get Skithiryx out fast and kill with him. Your point about the Sword is another thing I noticed when posting the deck. I think it's just one of those things that I didn't realize until I saw the deck in text form and then saw how few creatures are in there.
Also, that quote in your sig is great. So true for these forums.

Mutilate seems like a natural upgrade from Quag Sickness. But if you're looking for spot removal, Dismember, Slaughter Pact, and Snuff Out are my favorites since you can cast them for nothing or next to nothing. Innocent Blood also seems pretty subpar, even for just B. Personally, my sorcery speed removal needs to be a board wipe or come attached to creature if I'm going to use it. I would seriously just run Fleshbag Maurader instead since it's much easier to abuse and reuse.
My only problem with Mutilate is that it hits my creatures too. But it was really close to making it into the deck and I imagine it will find it's way back in at some point. Same for Dismember. The only problem with that one is that my meta plays a lot of big dudes and -5/-5 isn't always enough. I don't like the nonblack restriction on Slaughter Pact and Snuff out. I like Fleshbag Maurader quite a bit but I think I'll always run Diabolic Edict and Chainer's Edict first, both of which I want to get in.
Yeah...this deck need some work.
I thank you both for your feedback! My Numot and Rhys decks haven't gotten any so far and they've been up for quite a while. Though I don't know how much I'd listen to suggestions on the Numot one, it does what I want it to do.
If you really want board wipes that won't affect your board, you have Dread Cacodemon and Plague Wind. But they're quite expensive. There's also Reiver Demon, but it has Terror restrictions. But when you cast a board wipe that will also affect you, you're usually doing it when your opponents are going to lose more things that you. Additionally, you're running monoblack. Blowing up creatures but getting them back is easy.
I played this deck once or twice right before a long absence from the game. It needs a lot of work and I don't know that it will get it. This deck will most likely get scrapped and forgotten.
