After seeing the new addition I started to brainstorm a list for our new Dragon Commander. I know he has some combo potential but I wanted to take him in a direction that was more token and sacrifice themed, to create a more grindy game. So without to much more fluff here is my current build.
Prossh is a very strong and hard to answer card and when he is answered you get more value the next time you cast him. Since you get the tokens when you cast him Enter the Battlefield hate won't stop you from getting tokens. Having Flying makes it easier for him to get to the red zone and he can pump by saccing anything other than himself which can make him very dangerous.
I wanted to keep him a creature heavy build with ways to keep resurrecting those creatures. So to profit off this idea and his ability I tried to pick the best creatures that make creatures and sac outlets that are easy to abuse.
Like most card Prossh has his pros and cons
Pros
-His ability is on cast so even if he gets countered you get value
-Comes with built in evasion
-Built in sac outlet that pumps him
Cons
-At 6 I would not consider him cheap
-A 5/5 body isn't bad but your going to need to be pumping him if you don't want to take 5 combats to kill one person
-He can't sac himself
Other BRG Generals Adun Oakenshield Has a repeatable recursion effect which can make this color combination even more consistent but I don't think he fits the token theme very well. Bartel Runeaxe A cool legend but his abilities are a bit narrow. Darigaaz, the Igniter a 6/6 for 6 in the command zone isn't bad. His ability isn't super strong but he seems like a decent aggro commander. Karrthus, Tyrant of Jund Powerful in many areas. A bit expensive at 7 but a 7/7 with evasion, haste, and an effect that could be built around is pretty impressive. He's great for dragon tribal or even at the head of a good stuff deck, just watch out for clones Kresh the Bloodbraided A very solid voltron general that can get huge very quickly, 21 power isn't very hard to get to with him. Might not be bad for a token strategy but I think that would over centralize him a little to much. Sek'Kuar, Deathkeeper I would say he is the runner up for a token deck in these colors. His ability wants you to run more actual creatures but the tokens he puts out are 3/1's. He is much easier to stop than Prossh but if you rather have a general that was costed at 5 instead of 6 he is really solid Vaevictis Asmadi Flavor points for being an elder dragon and while he is expensive he gives you something to do with most of your mana. Xira Arien Cheap and an interesting ability for BRG, she is very efficient but dosen't lend anything to the token theme.
Card Choices
Token Generator(15)
Kher Keep - cheap token generation and it takes up a land slot Korozda Guildmage - Sac outlet that can make a ton of tokens Mogg War Marshal - Makes tokens when he enters or leaves and as a creature is easy to recur Pawn of Ulamog - Makes token when ever a non token dies that can help ramp Necrogenesis - Graveyard hate that generates tokens Sprouting Thrinax - 3 tokens for one death seems pretty good Endrek Sahr, Master Breeder - Free tokens on every spell and with sac outlets we can make him stick around for a long time Nath of the Gilt-Leaf - steady token creation that removes threats Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker - makes a double of almost all the creatures in the list and we can use the token to sac Siege-Gang Commander - pumps tons of tokens when he enters Grave Titan - a really strong power house and he brings his own army Avenger of Zendikar - another army in a can and comes with the ability to pump jis own army Chancellor of the Forge - doubles the number of creatures in play and as a creature can be pulled back and to make him even better his tokens have haste Hornet Queen - it's pretty hard to swing past her and 5 creatures for one is pretty strong
Token Support(17)
Skullclamp - just plain insane card draw Blood Artist - a great way to abuse all the dead tokens Beastmasters Ascension - makes each token a problem by itself Champion of Lambholt - low casting cost and can easily make my whole board unblockable in addition to normally having 8+ power Fecundity - we will have many more creatures dying then anyone else Falkenrath Noble - a backup Blood Artist Grave Pact - with saccing so many tokens will clear the board really fast Márton Stromgald - Great way to buff all creatures who swing in and as a creature he is easy to get back. Nullmage Shepherd - Turns token into removal for problem cards Ogre Battledriver - mass haste is strong and the pump is a great bonus Parallel Lives - doubling all token generation is hard to pass up Purphoros, God of the Forge - A huge beating of a card turning each creature into a shock to each other player and he can pump the army as well Reaper of the Wilds - Helps filter through the deck a lot and can be difficult to kill. Deathbringer Thoctar - Gets really big really fast and can dish out a nice amount of damage Doubling Season - Another way to increase the token output is always welcome Vicious Shadows - Makes the board very dangerous and deals a crazy amount of damage Craterhoof Behemoth - with a decent number of creatures it can be game over for everyone else
Terminate - Strong cheap creature removal Beast Within - Instant speed destroy anything Kroson Grip - Got to love being able to stop a combo Purtify - Powerful spot removal Damnation - Cheap board wipe Insurrection - with all the sac outlets I have it can be a one sided wrath
Food Chain - This plus Prossh gives you unlimited colored mana for creature spells Mana Echoes - If you have no other dragons or Kobolds out when you cast Prossh for the first time this nets you 37 which is a tad cheesy , for a side note a second casting of him on an empty board gets you 65
Can't wait for the big Dragon to come out, already tired of the proxy of him
10/03/13 - Updated List and added Formely Played Section 10/05/13 - Added spoiler tags to most sections, added a review of other BRG Generals, and added a pros and cons section for Prossh 10/07/13 - Reordered Decklist and Card Changes In Dawntreader Elk Out Sek'Kuar, Deathkeeper
Considered Cards
Reaper of the Wilds - Seems like really strong card filtering since I expect to have a lot of things dying Chancellor of the Forge - Was really hard to pick between this and Saproling Symbiosis but it's hard to pass up the instant speed mode symbiosis Phyrexian Reclamation - Great recurrsion but space was already tight and I'm not sure what to pull for it Haunted Crossroads - same as above but a bit slower
Formerly Played
Ant Queen - A great mana sink that can pump tokens Saproling Symbiosis - Doubles the number of creatures I control, and being instant speed could give Prossh tons of fodder for his pump ability. Myr Battlesphere - another 5 for 1 Sek'Kuar, Deathkeeper - a strong token for each actual creature that dies is really strong Decree of Pain - Board wipe with a nice amount of card draw tacked on Filith - With Urborg makes everyone unblockable
Seems to me that Insurrection would have a welcome place in a sac deck like this.
Insurrection looks strong for this strategy but I don't want to increase my curve to much so I'm thinking Decree of Pain can probably come out for it. I think it should be fine using it in place of a board wipe since with a sac outlet I can make it a one sided wipe and being able to close out the game with it seems stronger than drawing cards from Decree.
Do you feel like this could be a better deck than rith? I kind of want a dragon token deck with some more card draw.
I feel they are different but so far it is hard to tell which one is better, so far he has played pretty differently than Rith. He brings more off his casting than she does but Rith still feels more explosive but that could be me working the kinks out of the list still.
For more card draw black has more to offer than white. Dark Prophecy seems good but I don't know if I could handle the life loss that would come with it. White might still be a better token option since it can interact more with all the enchantments that help tokens out.
After looking through my cards again I found an interesting card to try out.
Champion of Lambholt seems like it could be strong since off casting Prossh the first time it would be an 8/8 with no other help which would make everything I have pretty hard to block.
Battle cry dosen't sound to bad, I think my favorite out of what I can play is Hero of Oxid Ridge since he prvents chump blocking. However going that route it might be better to use Márton Stromgald and/or Shared Animosity.
Raid Bombardment seems alright but Hellrider seems a lot stronger since it triggers whenever any creature attacks. I'll try and test him out and see how he does.
Moonveil Dragon seems like he could be pretty decent pump however I think as strong as he is Kamahl, Fist of Krosa is a much bigger threat for the same mana cost, since he can deter board wipes if you have G mana open.
City of Shadows looks like a pretty strong land, I'll see if I can pick one up and give it a spin.

Thanks for the suggestions
Good call on Kamahl, I didn't even think about him. I'm usually just playing him to kill lands. I'm definitely going to pick up this deck for the general when they come out. I have a full set of 4 of each Kobold, but I think I'm going to have to start hoarding Kobolds of Kher Keep just so I can use them as tokens.
Shared Animosity is a new one to me. I've never seen this card, but I like it.

Shared Animosity is a new one to me. I've never seen this card, but I like it.
Shared Animosity has been really strong for me inside my Rith token deck and with the first batch of Kobolds they could pump each other up to 6/1's
Márton Stromgald might still be better for this deck though since if all of them attacked Prossh and his hoard would get +7/+7 and then saccing all of them to Prossh would give another +7/+0, which puts him only 2 damage away from a one shot.
I just have this itching feeling that Rohgahh of Kher Keep should be in here somewhere... He is a token buff!
Not bad for flavor but he only buffs the tokens Prossh and Kher Keep make. That along with his expensive upkeep makes me want to pass on this bit of flavor haha
Made a hand full of changes, cut the curve a bit lower and added another way to get creatures back.
In Márton Stromgald - Great way to buff all creatures who swing in and as a creature he is easy to get back. Reaper of the Wilds - Helps filter through the deck a lot. Phyrexian Reclamation - Another strong way to pull creatures back Champion of Lambholt - low casting cost and can easily make my whole board unblockable Insurrection - with all the sac outlets I have it can be a one sided wrath Chancellor of the Forge - doubles the number of creatures in play and as a creature can be pulled back
Out Decree of Pain - strong but very expensive Myr Battlesphere - a good token producer but I like Hornet Queen better since her tokens have evasion and are amazing chump blockers Dawntreader Elk - with lowering the curve I can cut a ramp creature and he is the slowest of the ones I was running Filth - Seemed dead a lot of the time, was only really strong with Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth Ant Queen - not bad but a little to slow for me, might revist her since she is a good mana sink but I usually don't need it Saproling Symbiosis - Chancellor of the Forge is a similar effect but it much easier to reuse.
The main lists have been updated, finally got around to it
Since the changes the deck has been running pretty well, Márton Stromgald has been insane in two different games for me. His pump also works really well with Champion of Lambholt.
I have a few more cards on the chopping block Nath of the Gilt-Leaf - he hasn't been bad but he hasn't been amazing either. The combo with him and Sadistic Hypnotist is cute but I normally don't need him to rip everyones hands apart.
Sek'Kuar, Deathkeeper - He's been really hit or miss, some games he is great other's he gets removed before he can do anything. His tokens are strong but 5 for a lightning rod for removal seems expensive.
Mikaeus, the Unhallowed - As the list gets more and more humans he starts to lose his luster. He still lets most of the stronger token makers pull off their stunts twice and pumps Prossh and all his tokens. Love his strengths but one game I got stuck with him and almost every human in the deck. Might have just been a fluke but it's something I am going to continue to watch.
Also I have been considering Mitotic Slime - a bigger version of Sprouting Thrinax, who has been great so far. Might test him in Nath of the Gilt-Leaf's spot since out of the above I think he is the weakest.
Added spoiler tags to most sections
Added a review of other BRG Generals
Added a pros and cons section for Prossh
Also currently testing Dawntreader Elk again in Sek'Kuar, Deathkeeper. Lowering the curve should help some and a little more ramp should speed things up.
After a little more testing Mikaeus, the Unhallowed feels way to win more. His effect can be really strong but the last couple games I played with him he wasn't needed at all and just sat in my hand. So I'm thinking about trading him out but haven't decided what to put in his place.
Mitotic Slime Is a really good token producer with all the recursion I am running, his one card generates 7 creatures to sac overall.
Rune-Scarred Demon A little more expensive but a tutor with a body means I can sac and get it back.
Butcher of Malakir A second grave pact but in most decks I've tried him in I haven't been to happy to see him. Although this deck has enough sacrifice effects that he might be worth it.
I'm still not sure Hammer of Purphoros is the best choice, I like that it can make tokens but it can be targeted but another set of removal. Maybe I'm over thinking that though.
If your in the market for another haste enabler, In the Web of War stands out the most just because it's so strong with Prossh and other mass token generators. Speaking of token support, Coat of Arms was THE card back in the days to support tribal and token themed decks and is still one of the best options available for token decks.
Seeing as you have so many sac outlets, have you considered using more threaten effects as point removal spells? Both Beast Within and Putrefy have additional uses but terminate can easily be replaced to gain some additional value. Something like Word of Seizing if you wish to remain with more instant speed removal or Zealous Conscripts for some recursion.

Why Play Prossh
Other BRG Generals
Adun Oakenshield Has a repeatable recursion effect which can make this color combination even more consistent but I don't think he fits the token theme very well.
He's great for dragon tribal or even at the head of a good stuff deck, just watch out for clones
Kresh the Bloodbraided A very solid voltron general that can get huge very quickly, 21 power isn't very hard to get to with him. Might not be bad for a token strategy but I think that would over centralize him a little to much.
Sek'Kuar, Deathkeeper I would say he is the runner up for a token deck in these colors. His ability wants you to run more actual creatures but the tokens he puts out are 3/1's. He is much easier to stop than Prossh but if you rather have a general that was costed at 5 instead of 6 he is really solid
Vaevictis Asmadi Flavor points for being an elder dragon and while he is expensive he gives you something to do with most of your mana.
Xira Arien Cheap and an interesting ability for BRG, she is very efficient but dosen't lend anything to the token theme.
Token Generator(15)
Korozda Guildmage - Sac outlet that can make a ton of tokens
Mogg War Marshal - Makes tokens when he enters or leaves and as a creature is easy to recur
Pawn of Ulamog - Makes token when ever a non token dies that can help ramp
Necrogenesis - Graveyard hate that generates tokens
Sprouting Thrinax - 3 tokens for one death seems pretty good
Endrek Sahr, Master Breeder - Free tokens on every spell and with sac outlets we can make him stick around for a long time
Nath of the Gilt-Leaf - steady token creation that removes threats
Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker - makes a double of almost all the creatures in the list and we can use the token to sac
Siege-Gang Commander - pumps tons of tokens when he enters
Grave Titan - a really strong power house and he brings his own army
Avenger of Zendikar - another army in a can and comes with the ability to pump jis own army
Chancellor of the Forge - doubles the number of creatures in play and as a creature can be pulled back and to make him even better his tokens have haste
Hornet Queen - it's pretty hard to swing past her and 5 creatures for one is pretty strong
Token Support(17)
Blood Artist - a great way to abuse all the dead tokens
Beastmasters Ascension - makes each token a problem by itself
Champion of Lambholt - low casting cost and can easily make my whole board unblockable in addition to normally having 8+ power
Fecundity - we will have many more creatures dying then anyone else
Falkenrath Noble - a backup Blood Artist

Márton Stromgald - Great way to buff all creatures who swing in and as a creature he is easy to get back.
Nullmage Shepherd - Turns token into removal for problem cards
Ogre Battledriver - mass haste is strong and the pump is a great bonus
Parallel Lives - doubling all token generation is hard to pass up
Purphoros, God of the Forge - A huge beating of a card turning each creature into a shock to each other player and he can pump the army as well
Reaper of the Wilds - Helps filter through the deck a lot and can be difficult to kill.
Deathbringer Thoctar - Gets really big really fast and can dish out a nice amount of damage
Doubling Season - Another way to increase the token output is always welcome
Vicious Shadows - Makes the board very dangerous and deals a crazy amount of damage
Craterhoof Behemoth - with a decent number of creatures it can be game over for everyone else

Spawning Pit - saves tokens for later
Phyrexian Altar - tokens into colored mana
Greater Good - insane card draw
Tooth and Claw - Makes small tokens into bigger threats
Sadistic Hypnotist - Puts everyone else into top deck mode And loves being with Nath
Ramp(7)
Dawntreader Elk - Land ramp that works well when reccured
Earthcraft - can make tokens tap for mana
Sakura Tribe Elder - stronger than Dawntreader Elk
Chromatic Lantern - ramp and mana fixing
Farhaven Elf - more land ramp
Wood Elves - more land ramp
Beast Within - Instant speed destroy anything
Kroson Grip - Got to love being able to stop a combo
Purtify - Powerful spot removal

Utility(14)
Blade of the Blood Chief - with all the creatures dieing can make one of yours huge
Expedition Map - Can get any of the great land we have
Phyrexian Reclamation - Another strong way to pull creatures back
Demonic Tutor - One of the strogest tokens
Lightning Greaves - Great with Prossh
Oversold Cemetery - Another good recurrsion card
Swiftfoot Boots - Backup of Greaves
Eternal Witness - Can get anything back
Anger - mass haste is pretty strong
Birthing Pod - a Tutor and a way to fill the graveyard.
Chainer, Dementia Master - a really strong reanimator
Lurking Preadators - With 30 creatures it will be very easy to hit them normally
Mikaeus, the Unhallowed - double use of creatures for sac outlets and an anthem effect as a bonus
Mana Echoes - If you have no other dragons or Kobolds out when you cast Prossh for the first time this nets you 37 which is a tad cheesy , for a side note a second casting of him on an empty board gets you 65

For Ashnods Altar vs Phyrexian Altar the more mana is tempting but I'm not sure I would need it over the colored mana. Or should I try and run both?
Blasting Station dosen't seem bad but it does seem more restrictive than Goblin Bombardment.

Assuming Prosh had not been cast yet in the game, the first time you cast it you get 37 colorless mana back.
...if you then sac him and cast him again, you would generate 197 more colorless mana.
btw, love the deck!

Thanks and Mana Echoes is really over the top with him, so much so that I'm avoiding that route, at least for now. If you want to do even more bad things with him Food Chain Combos nicley as well, nice easy kill with Purphoros, God of the Forge and Earthcraft or Phyrexian Altar

Not bad for flavor but he only buffs the tokens Prossh and Kher Keep make. That along with his expensive upkeep makes me want to pass on this bit of flavor haha

In
Márton Stromgald - Great way to buff all creatures who swing in and as a creature he is easy to get back.
Reaper of the Wilds - Helps filter through the deck a lot.
Phyrexian Reclamation - Another strong way to pull creatures back
Champion of Lambholt - low casting cost and can easily make my whole board unblockable
Insurrection - with all the sac outlets I have it can be a one sided wrath
Chancellor of the Forge - doubles the number of creatures in play and as a creature can be pulled back
Out
Decree of Pain - strong but very expensive
Myr Battlesphere - a good token producer but I like Hornet Queen better since her tokens have evasion and are amazing chump blockers
Dawntreader Elk - with lowering the curve I can cut a ramp creature and he is the slowest of the ones I was running
Filth - Seemed dead a lot of the time, was only really strong with Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth
Ant Queen - not bad but a little to slow for me, might revist her since she is a good mana sink but I usually don't need it
Saproling Symbiosis - Chancellor of the Forge is a similar effect but it much easier to reuse.
What do you think?

Since the changes the deck has been running pretty well, Márton Stromgald has been insane in two different games for me. His pump also works really well with Champion of Lambholt.
I have a few more cards on the chopping block
Nath of the Gilt-Leaf - he hasn't been bad but he hasn't been amazing either.

Also currently testing Dawntreader Elk again in Sek'Kuar, Deathkeeper. Lowering the curve should help some and a little more ramp should speed things up.

Or maybe more mass haste effects, Ogre Battledriver has been really strong and a few games I really wanted more ways to give the board haste. So maybe In the Web of War, Fires of Yavimaya, or Hammer of Purphoros.
Any thoughts on the above or do you think something could better take his place?

Also after some testing I'm going to keep Dawntreader Elk in for Sek'Kuar, Deathkeeper.
Still looking for a card to replace Mikaeus, the Unhallowed with. I think I'm leaning more toward something else that makes tokens since I took out Sek'Kuar, Deathkeeper.
