Thanks to Ryujin and GFireflyE for keeping Wort alive and well, and for helping me streamline this deck.
Deck Background
This is my second EDH deck, it started off as Borborygmos Enraged, and with the help of Dracilic, this Gruul deck evolved into a X-Spell/Swarm Deck. I do enjoy this deck and will most likely be updating as much as possible as more sets are released. Out of all my EDH decks Wort has been my favorite thus far. Most people will ask, "Why not just play Rikku?" My answer is usually most people know what he does and don't wanna be Time Warped to death. She is a giveaway on what your trying to do, but most people kinda don't pay attention to ya, as it has been. Though most of my playgroup do their best to kill me first.
Why Play This Commander?
1. You Like Playing Really, Really Big spells.
2. All the Ramp!!
3. You like a fringe Commander.
4. You enjoy turning lots of really big dudes side ways in one fell swoop.
Why You Shouldn't Play this Commander.
1. You don't like digging through your deck like a maniac.
2. You don't like minimal interaction with your opponent or being on the radar.
You can make tons of mana through conspiringRegrowth for your untap spells Early Harvest/Rude Awakening into a giant X-Spell such as BanefireGenesis Wave works as well, it's kinda like Christmas Day resloving a large Wave
Playing the Deck
At first glance it may feel intimidating for people not familiar with some of the interactions in the deck, but playing the deck is fairly simple you want to build resources as fast as possible to get under your opponents before they develop their own resources. Your opening hand should have at least three lands, a ramp spell or two, and some type of draw. You may want to be careful if your meta is known for LD. That can slow you down considerably, and/or lock you out.
As for interacting with your opponents board there is not much, so timing is everything. Catch alls are Chaos Warp and Beast Within. Sometimes your X-spells will be used as creature removal, no need to worry as Recoup, Past in Flames, Praetor's Counsel, Regrowth and Eternal Witness are there to help recur your used spells.
Synergies
Boseiju + any Instant or Sorcery = Uncounterable, best used on a Win-Con
Wort + Momentus Fall/Crop Rotation and Harrow = Sac one creature draw double the cards, and gain double the life/SAc one land get get 2-4 lands
Extraplanar Lens + Snow Lands = One-Sided Mana Doubler
Purphorus + any creature = ultimate bleeder (Avenger will always hit for at least 16)
Wort + Regrowth and the like = Extra Recursion ( I am not quite sure yet if I can Infinite this loop)
That's about it for the deck. Hope you enjoyed the Primer and the deck, as much as I have building and playing it. If any concerns, suggestions, and/or comments feel free to PM or post on the thread. Thanks!!
Been having problems with Possibility Storm ( I hate this card so much)
Looking to add more removal as seen with Steel Hellkite. This makes it easier to "cascade"
into answers.
After some discussion with GFireflyE. I am cutting Dragonlair Spider for Dragon Broodmother. Hopefully, I will be able to get some testing done with her.
Well with the banning of Sylvan Primordial I needed to find something to replace it. I have noticed as of late that I usually end up in top deck mode, and that I now have to play around Insurrection effects. So in place of SyPri I am adding Mind's Eye and will be cutting a Snow-Covered Forest for a Homeward Path.
As for Born of the Gods, I don't see much being added to the list, maybe Pregrination. I am not quite sold on paying 1 for Scry 1. I don't like Whims of Fate, it doesn't help our game plan and we don't like sacc'ing our stuff. Xenagos,God of Revels just doesn't do enough.
Edited some sections and fixed decklist. Added Kiki-Jiki + Zealous combo.
Debating on adding fast rocks and slimming ramp package. Also was not happy with Prismatic Omen overall, it was cute until someone boiled or choked. Valakut is fine, but has become meh, since I cut one of the tutors for it (Sylvan Scrying.)
Nothing new from [JOU]. Only exception is Hydra Broodmaster, which works well with Purphoros and our big mana strategy. Shame is you can only do it once. :/
Terastadon: A very powerful card, destroying 3 permanents is good. Fetch-able with our tutors. Not so worried about our opponent getting a 3/3. Probably better than Steel Hellkite I have one lurking somewhere :/
Wolf-Briar Elemental: A great card in token versions of Wort. I don't think it quite fits with where we are at.
Hydra Omnivore: Beats is Beats. Not sure I want that big of a target on my face.
Those are the few thing's that have interested me from Conspiracy (which is a blast to draft.)
Some other looks not from Conspiracy:
Guttersnipe: A Purphoros for spells, all 35 of them. May just be cute. Cinder Cloud: Instant speed creature removal, with a bonus clause. Bad thing it is at 5CMC.
That's it for tonight, I gotta learn to do this when I am not tired. heh

For 3RR, I'd rather cast Fissure. At least it's got options.
