Notice that I made all this deck will leftovers, I guess it luckily has a decent shape, but it may need more work. Not expecting to spend more than 70 bucks on fixes. As you can see, it is zombie-oriented, so I'm expecting to aquire an Undead Warchief and Gravecrawler soon.
What is your overall experience with the deck? (Enough ramp, enough removal, etc.)
Any kind of strategy that gives you trouble? (Tokens, Voltron, pillowfort, ...)
Thank you all for the feedback As I mentioned, this was made with many cards I had in my box, and decided to make a good use of them I started to like the deck a lot, since it can wipe entire boards with Butcher of Malakir and Grave Pact. Idea is to, either have Jarad as a pretty strong dude, or keep making everyone to lose life with sac outlets. Possessed Portal was put like a second win con, shutting down many decks the turn it comes to play.
Hey,
the deck misses some staples in my opinion.
I don't know your budget though.
Sol Ring and Sensei's Divining Top are cards that should be found in every deck in my opinion. Skullclamp is another card that'll fit your theme very well and could be called a staple.
If your plan is to sac creatures to Jarad that are quite powerful to drain everybody's life equaly Lord of Extinction would be great. Grave Pact would clear the board while you're doing your sac thing.
I'm also surprised about the lack of tutors in your list. They're incredibly important in EDH.
Festering Goblin is a card that does literally nothing in EDH in my opinion. For a 60 card deck where you can play a whole playset of it, it might be having some impact. I'd also cut the Golgari Guildgate. The Guildgates are the worst dual lands. Lands like Twilight Mire or Command Tower would fit this slot quite well.
You're also missing mass-removals which are important in multiplayer.
Didn't consider graveyard-hate yet, but that Withered Wretch seems way better than my poor little zombie right now I like it. Damnation will be another card I will consider to place in here. And I guess I could make use of Diabolic Tutor and that innistrad tutoring card, don't remember yet; I have seen that my deck need those, in order to get Life from the Loam or my Grave Pact. Dual-lands are something I will be adjusting by the time elapses, I know it is pretty crappy my pool right now.
As for Sol Ring, I don't see my deck needing it, since it helps only with certain cards on the deck, my deck usually asks for black mana.

Nice card I need that Unholy Grotto right now xDDDD Lord of Extinction was something I was looking for in the past, when tried to make this a modern deck (but didn't work xD). It and Sewer Nemesis seem to work with my main winning condition, I will definitely look after those.
The deck has been playing pretty nice, it seems my little creatures make people to not care about my deck, until I throw something like Grave Pact or Butcher of Malakir, there is when they start with the aggro, that's why I try to make it worth when they land, so I can sacrifice many things at once, and they can't attack me at all. It usually loses against things with protection from black (considering my removal is black) if I can't manage to place a green blocker (my deck is more like a mono-black splashing green rather than dual-colored). That's why Damnation could come in handy too.
Deck seems fine with the mana ramp, I usually hit consistently 2 black and 2 green for Jarad, and get enough mana to play my most expensive spells. (anyway, more dual lands never hurt). Against 1vs1, this deck totally sucks, so I try to not use it on duel matches, that's why I have the Rafiq edh for xD.
And it happened once, that a player just started up with the Animar aggro, and killed me in 5 turns, before I could place a strategy. His animar killing me instantly (no green blockers) and everything else attacking all others, he lost after a wrath and the other two allied and killed him. LOL
Graveyard-hate is going to give trouble.
Jarad seems to be the only way of winning right now.
You might want to add cards like Lightning Greaves to protect him. However, he's pretty easy to recure from the grave I see.
Maybe a Crucible of Worlds besides your Life from the Loam. Add Strip Mine and you have another way of shutting someone down.
Yes, I'm already aware of the graveyard-hate issue but there is little I can do for it. Grave Titan seems somehow as another win condition in case everything else fails, Sylvan not so much, and what the deck would need is other ways to win. Crucible of Worlds is a card I wanted to add when making the deck, so I will go for it, as well as Strip Mine.
I also have a Jarad deck that suffers from graveyard hate. While there isn't a lot you can do you do still have a few options. Obviously for creature based hate (such as Withered Wretch) you can just remove the creature. There is a lot of GY hate that is artifact or enchantment based as well though (such as Leyline of Oblivion, Ground Seal, Grafdigger's Cage, and Rest in Peace). For those cards its good to have Naturalize, Golgari Charm (anti-sweeper tech too), Bramblecrush, or Natural End. I actually run all four in my deck and even when not used against graveyard hate I'm always glad to see them, it seems there is always something to use them against. It won't get your cards back but it will stop the bleeding and that can make or break your game especially if you have a Deadbridge Chant to drop afterwards.

Maybe Jarad is hated too, but at least is more competent against many enemies, or it seems to be.

You might wanna take a look at Lord of Extinction and Sewer Nemesis. They both tend to become pretty big.
