Lost a few creatures for some utility. Liliana of the Dark Realms seems good on paper, ramps me a dual land and pumps nicely with Urborg out. Necromancyis just a bit of goodstuff utility, able to respond to an opponents reanimate with my own, grab that Primordial from an opponent, etc. Also plays into the enchantment theme. And Sigil of the Empty Throne will hopefully turn all the already good enchantments we play into bodies, or soak removal for our other enchants.
THEROS SPOILER (82/249)
So far, I like the following:
Elspeth, Sun's Champion-3 tokens, a board wipe, or an awesome ult? Only thing holding me back is Cmc, but she'll probably make it in.
Read the Bones-Probably replacing Night's Whisper and friends. Cheap digging power.
That's really it. The other cards are either just bad for EDH in general, or not for this style of deck in my opinion. As always any comments or questions are welcome.
Have you thought about adding Linvala, Keeper of Silence? I've played against this card and it makes me very unhappy .
Have, and instead chose to only use Cursed Totem. Doesn't die to my creature wipes, and can be recurred by Sun Titan and Buried Ruin. If your meta has an extremely high number of problematic activated abilities however, go for it

Heliod, God of the Sun - the cost per token is too high in general for a stax build I think. You want like 2 - 3 mana per token tops I think. While the fact that they are enchantments can be a positive, I dont think you have enough support for that to matter. 4 mana per token might be a bit harsh in stax.
Elspeth, Sun's Champion - the mana cost is high, but I think her abilities warrant potential testing. Its hard to say in here neccesarily. I love her but I cant say for certain if she belongs here as it still feels like a bit of a stretch.
Read the Bones its not bad, it feels like a middle ground between the draw two for 2 mana and the draw 3 for 4 mana. Its ability is interesting and can potentially dig deeper than the draw 3 card options. On the flip side though its probably likely to tuck one of the two cards and draw two exposing the same number of cards overall. I dont know where I stand on it yet but it being three mana instead of four can be nice.
Gray Merchant of Asphodel personally I thought he was sort of cool. I play more of a life stealing sort of deck but I figure with just him + obzedat it punches for 4 life to each opponent probably net gaining me 12 life. I love prioritizing things like Necropotence in play too so this could be great in combination with that sort of effect.
I dont see anything that really screams that it belongs in your type of build though. I think Elspeth might be well worth playtesting with though. I really want to get my hands on new elspeth to try her in my rebels and Obzedat lists as well. Her abilities ALL fit the rebel deck soooooooo well its crazy.

I have officially moved to MTGNexus. I just wanted to let people know as my response time to salvation decks being bumped is very hit or miss.

You might be right about Helios, he's just so cool I want to at least test him. I agree totally on Elspeth. She's sooooo good, her cmc is 6 but she seems so relevant for this deck. You're right, Gray Merchant belongs in your life drainy style of deck, for sure. Yeah, this deck hasn't seen too much in terms of spoilers yet, but i'm still hopeful! I also finally got ride of Blood Baron, are you happy now
Also thanks for showing me how to link to spoilers, I totally forgot how to lol.

I am still annoyed because the spoiler is linking to M14.... I don't know why its doing that and perhaps its just me I don't know but I am annoyed that it isn't linking correctly.
And yes, I am happy that I got you to get rid of blood barron lol.

Its doing it for me too...weird.
The list is actually playing out pretty well so far. Haven't got to play too much lately unfortunately though.
Yesterday I built an Obzedat Control list that is centered on discard and reanimation. If you are having issues with green decks that are chock full of ramp I would like to introduce you to Polluted Bonds. While I have not had the pleasure of casting it, it seems to be a nice buffer to prevent players from rushing into a Boundless Realms and such.

One of my favorite cards. Was in the initial pile of cards I set aside for the deck, but unfortunately it costs a bit much and comes down a bit late. Thanks for the feedback!

I actually played with it for a while in my build (which is more lifestealing based). It was a really cool effect but I likewise found it came down too slowly to really be great. When it was in play everyone targeted it a lot and it rarely lasted even a turn rotation so I would usually see something like 2-4 life stolen is all from the effect.
If people will just play around it, then its an amazing card. It however is sort of a slow progress effect with a very noticeable and annoying effect. Speaking of fun times though, I did once see one of them flipped in the middle of a double Warp World where a Norin player Forked his Warp World. The Norin player died to his lands hitting play in the first warp..... its about as epic as the card gets lol.
Overall though, Polluted Bonds tends to have somewhat of underwhelming results for me though.

Haha thats epic...
Yeah, the few times myself or someone else played it in my group it got killed immediately and made them enemy #1
Its odd but a lot of times with life stealing effects, one time effects pay off a lot better than value over time effects. People just freak out way too much about value over time life stealing. I similarly had to remove a lot of other effects like Wound Reflection for similar reasons that I couldn't get them to last a turn rotation.

Agreed. If Painful Quandry wouldn't get me beaten in a back alley for playing it, I would.
That is hilarious. I guess if you want to play a chaos deck you should expect the unexpected.
Last night I managed to Rise of the Dark Realms which surprisingly didn't get me killed as the turn before the mono white player used his Austere Command to wipe out my Skullclamp/Bitterblossom draw engine as well as my Painful Quandry and he could not find another wipe. To further add salt to the wounds my following turn lead to me casting Ghostly Prison into Armageddon.
Anywho, does a discard based build seem doable? I was continually told last night that discard should be a monoblack build, but I think white adds a lot of extra defense and control as well as some residual life gain to offset the black draw power( I.E. the previously mentioned "bitter-skullclamp" and Phyrexian Arena.

Man, I wish I could use Rise. But flipping that off Confidant or Dark Tutelage would suck lol.
Also funny you should mention a discard based list. Galspanic had an Obzedat control list a little more focused on discard, I think the list is here Here.
I have always gotten really good results from Yawgmoth's Will. Generally speaking I just burn through as many cards as I can in a turn and put as much back in play as possible. Its really nice as it usually ends up being a land, 2 small things, and one thing I really want back in play. Good luck with it.

Yeah, there's a reason it's banned/restricted in almost everything else. I used it in a U/B storm deck I used to play with Oona and it was boss there.
Death Match: Overcosted for what it does. I wouldn't touch that really.
Umezawa's Jitte: Very very good equipment that is criminally underused in EDH. If you have space for more equipment it's a good one to run, since it serves as removal too.
Mana Vault: Great early game acceleration and the 1 damage per turn doesn't hurt much if you don't choose to untap it. I'd say yes.

Also another one but important update:
-1 Righteous War
+1 Contamination
Righteous War was a cool card, but Contamination synergizes with our token producers and is another lockout strategy.
