I don't really want the whole deck, just the general. Also, remember Kaalia?!? She's STILL worth alot of money and was on widespread sale. I just hope the legendaries alone hit those prices. Then again, maybe it will be worth it to buy the whole deck, depending on the new cards being released.
EDIT: As a side question, whats the MSRP of those commander decks?
RE-EDIT: Found the MSRP, $30 is going to be iffy for me, but not impossible...
True on Kaalia, but that wasn't until long after those decks were out of print. All the new commanders could be had for less than $2 a piece while the decks were on shelves if you were just after singles.

I wasn't around for the last commander set, so I had no idea. I'm definitely just going to pick up a copy unless the cards in those decks are THAT GOOD. Bix might be nice too.
If i were to use this new guy as a commander I would go the token route and beater. Put in some guys like Dragon Broodmother and that giant wurm that has devour.
Are you going for a token route with the new dragon, or are you just going to use him as a big beater?
I'm sticking with my current list, but swapping out Kresh for Prossh. I've said several times, Kresh just doesn't play a huge part in my EDH anymore. I always have better things to do. Prossh is just the beater that I need right now.
Also, this makes including skullclamp in the deck SOOOO much more fun!

I'm not much into the token route, I'm sticking to what I have.
As for dragon broodmother, she's a little too costly for me at the moment and only makes small flying tokens on her own. I'm not a fan of devour personally, I don't have the critical mass of tokens that I would need to make it work. Maybe I'll try it out when I get my hands on him.
While dismantling my standard selesnya deck to make it post-rotation Junk Midrange, I added something to the EDH that I used to have but removed to put in the selesnya.
Garruk can supply you with tons of little blockers and can fight the occasional utility creature, although once he does he's usually blown up. If he does manage to stay after that, he makes scarier blockers and can tutor up whatever creatures you need, kind of like a second birthing pod.
Jarad never really did anything in this deck. He's very mana intensive and does hardly anything to affect the board. His flinging was kind of nice as a sac-outlet, but beyond that he just wasn't worth it.
Im slowly warming up to the idea of switch from Kresh to Prossh due to the lack of evasion by Kresh.
The evasion is nice, but I like him because he creates a horde of tokens and comes with a built in sac outlet. He just fits all the criteria for a leader to this deck. I also love how amazing Grave Pact and Skullclamp are with this guy, and I held onto Butcher of Malakir, so he will make a return appearance once Prossh is the general.
I can't wait to get my phoosh deck going! I tried messy but he is just to fragile and takes to much attention to keep online IMO new dragon is just bonkers I hope the other general for jund is good too

Chances are they will reprint the original tricolor dragons (similar to what they did in the first one with the planar chaos dragons) and then another general that fits the deck. Whether they make ANOTHER new one or just a reprint is up to them, but whatever it is I won't really care, I just need prossh (unless they print another jund legendary that's even better than Prossh!).
Well at first I didn't like the card, I thought it didn't do enough. Lately however I'm starting to like the idea of maybe running him again, so many other people do.
Also, I made a few updates today after buying some packs of m14.
Butcher of Malakir obviously has much better synergy in the deck with the general swap. Ruric Thar, the Unbowed is very good, but I had to cut SOMETHING. (If you think something else should be cut, let me know)
Also, I already have Farseek to grab shocklands for 2 mana, and I wanted to include a heavier ramp spell instead. Ranger's Path is in here until I can find a Skyshroud Claim that is strictly better.
Let me know what you think about these exciting changes!
Sometimes I would feel like a situation would become too difficult to handle, but I had no way to get out of it. This is where the field wipes were desperately needed. These are to be used only when your opponents have gotten way ahead of you. My friend has a Grimgrin, Corpseborn that tries to swarm zombies all the time, and I've lost to him sometimes because he has the threats and a few ways to eliminate some of my key ones. Now, if he over extends and builds up his field I can wipe it clean and usually jump ahead.
The creatures I removed were some of the least effective ones that I don't truly need in the decklist. Do you think these were the best to remove? Let me know.
I've looked at them before, but I'm not really convinced on them. I need something that can kill ALL the creatures at the table 80% of the time. Destroying opposing titans and dragons is extremely important, since these are the real threats that would cause problems for me. That and infinite combos involving creatures, I can wipe those out too with this.
I just want to make sure I can "restart" the game to a clean slate where I might have a better chance to come back than others. If my only real threat was an Inferno Titan that got dispatched quickly while other people have huge dragons etc. then I need to blow everything up right then. The other creatures seem like an out to small tokens more than a way for me to get a clean slate.
My deck isn't really a sac deck, its somewhere between "Battle cruiser big creatures" and "Control your boards!". Artist and noble can cause a slight life swing (6 life first time with prossh, meh...) but that's not worth taking out other cards. Blade is in that same line, it can add some extra kick to an attack with him, but that's not really the point. I want to just keep those tokens sitting around to block the average scary creature that comes by. My deck does a good job of handling most threats, but its better to set up your brick wall, because once you do they're very unlikely to try and break it down one kobold at a time. If you have other suggestions then feel free to make them.
Also, I got two new cards (again) for the deck today.
I came across a Krosan Grip and promo Savage Lands in someone's binder (along with lots of other things I traded for). K-Grip is just a format staple and needs to be used in the deck, and having an extra removal spell sitting around is always nice.
I removed Whispersilk Cloak for two reasons: 1)I would NEVER keep it in an opening hand and 2)I don't like equipments in this deck. Even my Darksteel Plate feels awkward in the deck, and Swiftfoot Boots feels slow for some reason. I'm definitely keeping them in now, but I may start to move away from them for other types of low drop cards (phyrexian arena etc.) once I get a hold on them.
Something sad happened the other day. I had to trade away the Life's Finale I got to help get a Sigarda, Host of Herons to be the commander of another deck (at least Life's Finale is cheap). My question is, what should I put into the deck? Ruric-Thar, the Unbowed can always make a return, but I had another interesting idea for a 6 drop. What do you think of Charmbreaker Devils? I know it seems fairly strange, but playing this could allow me to recast removal, ramp, and tutor spells turn after turn to control everything. It would definitely need some testing, but I think it could be useful. What do you think?
Obviously, there are better options than some of my current additions, but I was working off of only my collection, and its pretty limited right now. I plan on getting Dreadbore, Hull Breach, Harmonize, and momentous fall to replace these, but their inclusion right now makes the deck overall better.
Most of these are clear straight across trades for better things. I also felt I didn't need Dimir Housegaurds anymore. What do you think? Did I make the right cuts? (most of these are just strictly better trades)
I'm trying to push the deck slightly away from the BIG FATTY theme and moving towards the more Control/Combo shell. These changes obviously go with that ideal.
What do you think? Something get cut that you don't think should leave? Something get added that you think is awful? Let me know what you think. (please, I really need some feedback)
Why not abuse your general a bit more. At the moment you don't really have too many cards that work well with your general apart from Skullclamp. Additionally in your case, Lightning Greaves over Swiftfoot Boots.
The tokens that Prossh creates are small but they don't have to be. Cards like Coat of Arms, Shared Animosity, In the Web of War greatly increases the strength of the tokens. These cards create a situation where your opponents react to you instead of always reacting to what others play (a losing proposition in a multiplayer game). If your worried about people tucking your general therefore rendering these cards useless, you can always change your deck to more of a token theme to further accommodate these cards. Mycoloth, Dragon Broodmother, Grave Titan are just a few of the many big bodies in Jund that can also create an army of tokens. Also when Theros comes out, Purphoros, God of the Forge will be amazing in Prossh.
Another suggestion is Fecundity. The card is definitely a meta call because it affects all players, but the fact that it works so well with your general will definitely make this a strong inclusion. As far as tutors go, I'm sure your aware that Vampiric Tutor and Demonic Tutor are considered the best tutors in the game, Chord of Calling in combination with Prossh is basically GGG search your creature for whatever creature you want and put it into play.
The incarnations are also pretty good for this deck, Especially Anger and Genesis. Oversold Cemetery is also a cheap and effective way to recur your creatures.
Some of your ramp cards also feel a bit sub par. Gilded Lotus and Thran Dynamo can single-handedly ramp you into your 7-8 drops, while Skyshroud Claim is the original Ranger's Path (and a worthy addition).
Pernicious Deed is a pretty amazing mass removal spell, definitely better than some of the mono black options available. As far as point removal go, Decimate is one of the best ones available to the Jund shard, it's definitely a little hard to cast but it's definitely worth it.

IN: Darksteel Ingot, Encroaching Wastes
OUT: Obelisk of Jund, Forest
Obviously darksteel ingot is better than obelisk of jund. As for encroaching wastes, I decided I wanted some way to deal with utility lands from time to time or if I have leftover mana. (if I had money for wasteland or strip mine I would use those instead)
