@Short stack: I'm happy with my banner, looking forward to see yours ;-) .
Only thing I regret is that the legendary Kresh isn't really centered. Nonetheless it came out great. And I love my Sun Tzu quote (Art of War).
The first draft came back, but the font was really off, and it had the wrong kresh art, but other than that it was looking pretty sweet. I can't wait to see the final version!
I was thinking about adding Urabrask the Hidden... What do you guys think of him?
Would he draw hate/removal because my opponents their creatures etb tapped?
I was thinking about adding Urabrask the Hidden... What do you guys think of him?
Would he draw hate/removal because my opponents their creatures etb tapped?
I currently use urabrask, but for some reason he just doesn't seem good enough when I play him. As for Jarad, he's not one of my favorite cards either. With these guys, they're cards I would remove when I need room for other things, so...
I am in the process of putting together a Kresh deck as well.
Whats your budget for cards?
Why take out some of your dual color producing lands like overgrown tomb and rootbound crag? With the pain duals like tomb you can fetch those with wood elves.
Why no skullclamp? Seems like it would be a perfect fit in just about any creature based deck. And that way you could play more creatures that fetch lands and then just clamp them.
Other cards you might want to consider: Signal the clans Bonehoard Rogues Passage Borborygmos Expedition Map Violent Ultimatum
Chain Reaction doesnt seem to fit the list either. You have a general that feeds off of creatures dieing, and you run cards such as Grave pact and other creature removal. I think there are better options for mass removal if that is what you are planning on using it for. Blasphemous Act
You should consider putting Fauna Shaman back in as well. Helps you tutor for creatures when you draw dead cards in the late game, or you can pitch things like anger to get creature ramp or anything else you need. And you can skullclamp it if you decide to run clamp.
Your mana curve is very high also. If I'm not mistaken you have 1 creature that costs less than 3 to play, 6 creatures that cost three to play and 11 creatures that cost 6 or more to play. Over 1/3 of your creatures cost 6 or more mana to play.
You need more ramp to play these high cost creatures sooner than later and this will also help out with the spells that have "x" in their converted mana cost.
Lastly, I would play more creature permanents or things that can make tokens so that they can be sac'd to pump up Kresh. Goblin Bombardment would be a good sac outlet.
My budget is about 10 dollars for a card (but I appreciate all suggestions, even ones above the 10 dollar limit).
I've taken out Overgrown Tomb, Stomping Ground and Rootbound Crag simply because I don't have them yet. They will be in the deck as soon as I require them, but for now they're under my wishlist. (And under the trading radar :p)
That's also the reason I've cutted Wood Elves, and Skyshroud Claim.
I always think Skullclamp is better in a token deck, but I could add it. Another reason is that I like those small blockers (Farhaven Elf, etc.)
I like all those suggestions you give except Violent Ultimatum, it's wayyy to mana intensive. Ok it destroys 3 permanents, but 2 black, 2 green, 3 red is like... 7 mana. (Pulls my curve up again)
Perhaps I should re-test it (Played it in the past)
Also I'm not really sure what Expedition Map would fetch (Rogue's Passage I assume, or Kessig Wolf Run).
Blasphemous Act could easily replace Chain Reaction. You're right about that one.
But my shops sells it at 4 euro's, if I check magiccards.info it's only half. :/ Fauna Shaman is a better fit in my Karador deck, if I want Anger in my graveyard it takes some time.
Discard a creature to get Anger -> discard Anger to get another creature (So Fauna Shaman needs to survive 3 rounds). I doubt that it stays in play so long, since it's considered a Survival of the Fittest on legs.
I don't think my mana curve is that high... let's see.
17 of my 31 creatures are 4 mana or bellow, I won't consider that really bad. Most of the times the bigger the mana cost, the better the creature or the effect or power. (Not entirely true, but a 6/7 mana costed creature has more effect, does more damage then a 2 or 3 mana costed creature).

Any suggestions on what to cut?
EDIT:
When the summer holiday starts, I will try to look at all the green, black and red cards of magic the gathering (a biiiggg task).
And will try to find some hidden gems ^^.
Its a nice two card combo if it works, but by themselves the cards alone arent very good. I would rather run Mikaeus the Unhallowed with creatures that have persist.
Expedition map can get any land card. Thats why it is good. You can get Bojuka Bog if you need to remove a GY, Command tower if you need color mana.
I just think there are better options than those cards such as Hurricane, Avatar of Woe, Blasphemous Act, Murder.
And I like cards with Persist and Undying because then you get to sac them again =)
Ill type up a rough list of what I am working on and we can compare some things!
Mikaeus is indeed something that I should add.
Does Murderous Redcap and Mikaeus work the way I think they do? (Inf. damage)
Fecundity, is more for token decks (makes me wonder if I should add a little more token creators. Or I should make another version, the token version :p), in addition to that, I let me opponents sac their creatures with Barter in Blood, Fleshbag Marauder, Slum Reaper, so I think they would profit a lot from it.
Hurricane.. I think I would rather run something like Fault line , Starstorm, Earthquake or Savage twister (but that doesn't hit opponents)
I've chosen Eyeblight's Ending over Murder for the simple reason that murder recquires double black and Eyeblight's Ending only one. Avatar of Woe seems very mana intensive again (and like you said, my curve is already pretty high. Unless you play her for her alternative cost of course), my guess is that you would play this over Royal Assassin?
I've chosen Royal Assassin because it's a low costed creature actually.
Drana is mana intensive, but she removes creatures (pumps kresh). If she dies, you can also pump her so Kresh gets bigger. And it's a nice mana dump if you don't have anything else to do (Perhaps Ant Queen). Fault line is instant damage, snuff out doesn't require any mana (can stop combo's if you're tapped out).
I like the suggestion of Blasphemous Act and Mikaeus the Unhallowed. I really need to play more games to test this, with the exams and all I've been so busy. Summer holidays here I come!

Yes Mike and Murderous Redcap make infinite damage providing that you have a sac outlet like goblin bombardment. Avatar of Woe, it should very easy for you to cast her for BB. You have lots of creature removal, so reaching 10 creatures in all GY shouldnt be hard at all. But yes I would play her over Royal Assassin
Ok, thanks.
I took a quick peek at your decklist, and already have some suggestions.
Seems like you had a lot of staples.
Looking forward to see your post ^^.
Hmm, I've been thinking about taking out Drana, Kalastria Bloodchief for perhaps a Jarad, Golgari Lichlord, or a Hamletback Goliath.
Hamlet holds me a bit back, cause he doesn't come with any form of evasion. The upside however, is that he gets big, very big and very fast.
Jarad is just a walking sort of Fling. If my Kresh is gigantic (and he often is) then this is just a walk in the park to finish the game. (Not counting on removal, bounce, counters ).
What do you guys think? Should I take out Drana for something else?
So you think Drana is a good swap for Jarad, Golgari Lichlord?
What are the thoughts on Corpsejack Menace? On first sight, it seems like only Kresh would profit from it.
And I still need to fill up my 6 mana slot for the pod chain, perhaps the big sister Necropolis Regent. Seems like it would be/give a lot of synergy with Kresh.
I think that would be a good switch.
Corpsejack wouldnt be as good for you bc you dont run as much +1/+1 counter generators as me. Necropolis Regent is Underwhelming. It triggers only if you get damage through to the player.
What about duplicant, inferno titan or massacre wurm? They offer a good size body and removal.
I think that would be a good switch.

I'm gonna take another look at your list then ^^.
Necropolis seems quite strong actually, most of the times Kresh wins games by combat damage/Living Death or a big fling. Necropolis can provide both, she can pump up the power of our creatures enormously, so we can hit for a lot, or we can pump Kresh everytime a creature dies.
I don't really like duplicant, I can understand why, but I just think there're better options. Most of the times it's used to get an annoying general out of the way, or am I wrong? (Plus Duplicant doesn't kill them, he just removes them).
Inferno Titan however is a very interesting one (People say lightning bolt doesn't really have a place in EDH, although it can get rid of a lot of utility creatures like Oracle of Mul Daya, generals like Rafiq, of the Many (if he hasn't been pumped up yet), and so on.)
I always compare him with Magmatic Force, but the force just costs way to much to justify a place, so I think Inferno Titan is a good fit.
Massacre Wurm is nice when you can sac and replay him in the same turn, or if you're playing against token decks (which suprisingly I haven't seen a lot in my meta).
Let's do some testing with the Necropolis and Inferno Titan shall we =).
(I'm currently looking at all the possible red creatures in magic history 1491 in total, if I'm not mistaking, and the idea of Inferno Titan has also crossed my mind ^^).
Its hard to say which would make more tokens. Ant queen is a mana sink which is nice. On the other hand dragonlair spider makes one with each opponent's spell. Personally I would go spider to block flying. Dragon broodmother. Check her out
^^ Dragonlair Spider is indeed a good one, but I think I would like it even more if it cost would be like Dragonlair (2 green - 2 red). I don't wanna have to many cards with a triple mana cost of the same color. (Seems hard without the right mana base of duals and fetches). So I think, like you said, that Dragonlair Spider would be the best choice ^^.
Thanks Ashe
Looking at Dread Cacodemon, I just realized that I like Plague Wind better. Sure the Dread is easily to recur because it's a creature, but Plague Wind cost 1 less, and you don't have to tap your creatures (which is a big up, because you can swing with Kresh and get somebody out of the game then).
The first draft came back, but the font was really off, and it had the wrong kresh art, but other than that it was looking pretty sweet. I can't wait to see the final version!

As for ramp I have: Farhaven Elf, Oracle of Mul Daya, Sakura-Tribe Elder, Yavimaya Elder, Cultivate, Explosive Vegetation, Kodama's Reach.
Perhaps I could add a Sylvan Ranger (or Wood Elves, when I acquire those shocklands)
That makes me realize... I don't have a 6 mana creature for the Birthing Pod cycle!
As for the token makers, I've thought about Ant Queen, Hornet Queen, Rampaging Baloths, or perhaps Creakwood Liege (if I find one, he only drops 1 every turn though, but it pumps stuff)...
Also Goblin Bombardement is one of my favorite sac outlets, good call on that one.

I also took a quick peek at your list, for the matter of Corpsejack Menace.
And I think you're running Scavenging Ooze, Skullbriar, the Walking Grave, Strangleroot Geist, Vorapede, Puppeteer Clique, Mikaeus, the Unhallowed to go along with it.
