I personally want to at least try Koz + Survival of the Fittest...and now that I think about it he's a political gold mine with Tas. Will prob get one for a Big Brother list
Thoughts on Codex shredder?
Works well with top, library, and brainstorm, and also hurts opponents when they tutor to top of library or use academy ruins like effects

Hey guys so I've actually moved on from commander on to 60 card decks so I don't have any commander decks.
Anyway I've started my own gameplay channel in which I play games (Magic also)
6 mana if you want to do it in a single turn, compared to 3 mana for Ewit... And we cut Ewit. The top of deck thing is interesting but not really worth the slot.
Painful Truths seems intriguing. Essentially 3 mana for 3 cards, although the sorcery speed hurts.
I feel like nights whisper is just better then.
Also any of the draw discard spells seem better. Compulsive research was cut but I think it's better

Agreed on Compulsive Research, tbh. I just saw the card and thought it was intriguing.
So I saw that Bloom Tender and Freed From the Real go infinite together. My only worry is that while Deadeye/Palinchron are mostly dead outside of the combos, Freed is completely dead.
I plan to test Bloom Tender in Sakura Tribe's slot regardless, but it'd be neat to have another combo that goes with the mana dork.
Yeah bloom tender is good but the issue is you don't have infinite of every color. You have infinte green and black but no blue since you have to use it to untap the tender so you can't kill with shift that way.

That's the biggest part. In the current combo the cards are good by themselves. Bloom tender would be decent in here by itself but I don't think it beats anything already in the 99 and like you said freed is dead without tender. Also if tender has summoning sickness it wouldn't work.

Eh, I'm leaning towards Bloom Tender beating Sakura Tribe Elder in my build, at least. I'd kill for another 1 cmc mana dork that can tap for more than just one color.
And to be fair, how often do you let Deadeye sit out without setting off the combo that turn? He's kinda dead outside of the combo.
Pili-Pala+Grand Architect? Wouldn't be completely awful, and it would give an excuse to experiment with adding more artifacts to use with Architect.
I should add that I am experimenting with this stuff because hey, why not. Adding another combo entirely is a large change to the build, and who knows? It could somehow end up working better, and at the very least it will be entertaining.
He is mostly dead outside of combo but I've protected other good creatures when I get him out via victimize or living death. He's been useful there as a sudeo safekeeper/spellskite but often not.

I've considered him a few times before but can't think of something to remove.
I liked Merfolk looter and thought courier in earlier deck adaptations so Jace would easily be good enough for testing, just mostly never got to it.
Any suggestions on cuts for him?
Also, no Dack Fayden in your list?
Iona? Ashen Rider?
I considered 5 color before in this deck and am looking for ideas from someone more seasoned.

I can see cutting shadows for Jace since it's in the top 5 for worst cards in the deck (Hard to say what they all are)
Gilded drake is amazing in the meta
Makes sense to run drake over palinchron in that situation but chron also goes infinite with Vorniclex and phantasmal image (if you run it) so I like it better here.
Since I often delve out cards to get Tassy out eariler (Protection or whatever) it's harder to get Jace to flip early but I can see him being useful here anyway. My concern is that I won't have good enough cards to use with Jace in the flashback. A dumb reason but I'm hoping they will be good enough the first time.

I think it's absolutely worth a test.
Still, I like shadow of doubt enough to keep it for now but I'm still planning on testing Jace eventually. I've been wanting to give him a try for quite a while now

Cards like Derevi are why I threw Song of the Dryads in my build. It has been an all star for sure. Highly recommend trying it.
Same for Dark Petition. I know I keep shilling it, but it has worked incredibly well.
Edit: Ha! Found Llanowar Mentor while digging around. While slow to ramp, it seems like it could be an extremely useful tool to pitch things in the early game. I also think of this + Prophet of Kruphix + Tasigur and laugh. I may put it in Sakura Tribe's slot and see what happens.
Whisperer of the Wilds is also interesting, but I don't think it has a place in the build.
Also, I was wondering what people thought the weakest cards in the deck are.
Wondering what the cuts would be for everyone.
Here are mine:
6 Sire of stagnation
4 Fact or fiction
1 Ponder
1 Preordain
3 Voidslime
5 Prophet of Kruphix
2 Shadow of doubt
Sire isn't as good as Con Sphinx or Jin but still decent if those options aren't possible
Fact or fiction is 4 mana. That's a lot without so many rocks. If I can get it early it's sweet though
Ponder and preordain are excellent...early on. Later they're fairly meh
Voidslime always gets someone....but 99/100 times it's just another counter
Prophet is great with Tasigur...and not much else
Shadow of doubt is fun and awesome....but...niche. Usually a stifle + draw. Still funny for me though.

After some thought, I am going to test Llanowar Mentor! Should be hilarious to see if it works.
I fully agree on the list, minus Ponder and Preordain; lately the extra consistency has been a godsend.
Sire of Stagnation is Bane of Progress in my build, and that's a meta thing. Can't help you there.
Voidslime is Forbid in mine, and I've been enjoying the card for sure.
Fact or fiction has been... Hmm. It digs extrenely well, but I agree that 4 mana hurts. I just haven't found anything that would work in that slot for me yet.
Prophet of Kruphix is quite good, but I cut it earlier in preperation for a potential banning, plus I got bored of the card. Maybe Dark Petition in this slot? They fit in the same spot on the curve, at least.
Shadow of Doubt is niche but good, I agree. Maybe throw in Song of the Dryads? It has been pretty amazing in my build.
I think Duress/Thoughtseize would be the cards I'd put over Prophet/Shadow.
If I cut them. I've really been liking them in the other decks I'm testing.
It's real fun to screw over people on turn one because they kept a mana rock or whatever
Also Jace. I really need to test him out.

Duress/Thoughtseize are kinda rough in multiplayer, though. They are major card disadvantage for you, although disrupting a hand can potentially be useful. My vote is no.
I really am surprised that you haven't tested Song of the Dryads in here, given how much you like Gilded Drake.
I love gilded drake but song ramps people and if they remove it they get their own threat right back.
I prefer beast within since all they get is a useless beast that dies to Tasigur

While true that it ramps people, it also prevents them from using their commander if they don't remove it. With tuck not being a thing, we need as many "**** their general" effects as we can.
In my meta alone, it severely hampers Derevi, Zur, Arcum, Karador, and Prossh. Even if it only buys a turn or two until they hit removal, that's a big thing for sure.
How is lim-dul's vault working out? I always hated how it was card disadvantage and took forever to resolve.

You should come play with us more often then - after several games against my Derevi you'll value Drake much higher and Bribery much lower.
