Heh the problem is that I haven't even put Voidslime in yet. I suppose Stifle -> Voidslime and Training Grounds -> Misdirection is a good pair of swaps.
Question for any veteran players of the deck (Doom_Blade included, of course!)
My meta is pretty light on 1 cmc removal, so mental misstep hasn't been working out for me. It's nice to catch the sol ring or occasional tutor, but it's not helping me combo. My meta is also pretty light on LD (Occasionally they'll be a strip mine or 2 of course). In terms of potential switches, I've been considering Pact of Negation, Delay, or Dispel. I've been leaning towards Pact, since my meta is pretty light on LD. Perhaps Stifle is always an option? That seems even narrower than misstep though.
Also, my meta has a little more aggro, so I'm constantly at a perilous life total. What are some good lifegain options? I've thought of switching Sire of Stagnation for Kokusho, the Evening Star, and maybe cutting something for Disciple of Bolas. When it's good, it's amazing - saccing a reanimated Terastodon is pretty nice.
My Cubes - The Busted Cube. A fully functional, almost 100% custom cube. The project started out by asking "What if other colors got cards on the power level of Mana Drain,Ancestral Recall, and Time Walk?" Draft and enjoy!
Aggro usually isn't an issue if you can get Kederekt + Enchantments (Especially Necromancy) you can easily lock people out of combo
As far as another counter spell I think Countersquall is decent.
Pretty much a slightly worse Negate.
Dispel is always good too

Hey guys so I've actually moved on from commander on to 60 card decks so I don't have any commander decks.
Anyway I've started my own gameplay channel in which I play games (Magic also)

Thoughts? Thanks for any help!
Griselbrand is a great option for the life gain...sigh. Damn you rules committee!
For defense against aggro, I recommend using your life total for a wrath and using spot removal a little more judiciously. Dies' recommendation for Kederekt Leviathan is really, really strong. An enchantment reanimator effect like Animate Dead or Necromancy is incredibly strong in stopping an aggro board. I play Deluge and it really helps in controlling the Animar deck that runs rampant and I imagine that it stops other types of aggro just as well. What kind of aggro do you face?
EDIT: There aren't a lot of options to combat aggro, but reanimating something with lifelink is always a good choice. Koko-Puffs is the best option, since our favorite demon lord is banned...
I will have the option to have my wife either get me Mana Drain or Mana Crypt. Which is better? I run a proxy for the Crypt but Drain would be the bomb too.
I'd get crypt first. It allows much faster plays.
Drain is excellent but it's more of a hard counter that helps a bit with ramp than anything else. It's really situational if I have anything to cast with the extra mana

Recently, it was announced at an LGS near me that they will have a 2HG EDH tourney. The normal banlist follows, all cards must be real, but the kicker is only one copy of any card can be included in the deck at all. So that means 1 Sol Ring between both decks, 1 Mana Crypt between both decks, etc. My brother and I are considering going and I want to play Tasigur. What would be a good complement to the Reanimator strategy? He has a fully operational Kaalia deck, a Freyalise Elfball deck that's really good, and I can make a really good Waste Not combo deck with the cards he and I have. What kind of strategy do you think would best run alongside Tasigur?
I would put in a mono blue deck or something like Narset.
Depending on the opening hand either one of you has you can protect the combo of whoever is going off pretty easily

couple questions regarding the list that perhaps you answered in previous pages (i stopped checking after going back like 10 pages)
room in the list for Grim Tutor and Imperial Seal - I assume they would be included, but aren't due to budget reasons.
Flusterstorm - its soooo good, any reason why its not in there?
Spellskite - I know its good, like really good and the role is to protect the reanimation targets and just win. But like, at least in my meta, it seems like an underperformer. can you explain the role of it in typical games and how you use it?
I actually don't think Grim tutor is quite good enough here.
There are a ton of 3 mana spells in the deck and adding another tutor that's worse than the rest doesn't seem great. I may be wrong but it really depends on what I'd cut and I can't think of anythign here.
Imperial seal is budget reasons, and I refuse to get one because it may be printed as a judge foil any time now so....pass for now.
Flusterstorm is real good but since it doesn't hit anything other than instants and sorceries and since we often don't play tons of spells a turn it can be less good here. I think negate is just better in this instance, but I could be wrong here as well.
Often spellskite or safekeeper is put in before the fatty to make sure that they can land on board and be impactful for longer, if it's keeping Jin alive long enough for a turn to pass or con sphinx or void winnower long enough to gain enough advantage or beat face.

Do you ever have issues when you generate infinite mana, draw your deck and play it all and not win?
I see how you could reality shift everything and flip their deck, and then pass turn (or then Kederect Leviathon the tokens/manifests) but you are also gonna be with no library. Have you considered a mana sink card to just straight up win the game? or an eldrazi to pitch and reset your deck just in case?
for example, and i dont necessarily think its the correct card, but something like goblin cannon, that will just straight up kill everyone. Obviously its a terrible card up until that point in the game but seems like a better plan than passing and giving them options. I'd love your opinion.
I can't think of a single way I would not win with infinite mana, am I missing something?
I don't like the idea of goblin cannon because its not useful without the infinite combo. Shift is still good removal if needed.

ehh, its corner case, but if reality shift and T-don get exiled, i dont see a way you can "go off" via infinite mana. Even something like Blue Sun's Zenith adds another way for you to win. I feel like good players will know and exploit this fact in a meta.
I've yet to have reality shift exiled. It's usually either Palinchron, Jin, or Terastodon that's been bitter ordealed from me.
Without terastodon I always have beast within to destroy the board and wipe with leviathan but I'd still lose if shift wasn't in the deck.

oh yeah, didnt notice Beast Within would work as well.
to be clear, just musing, i recently put the deck together and have yet to actually playtest it, just been goldfishing, was just wondering about some things from someone with experience was all =)
the deck seems fun though! cant wait to get some real games in. another thing i noticed is that the deck is pretty light on spot removal/board wipes, is this because of your meta? seems like premium removal like Toxic Deluge, Snuff out, Slaughter pact, etc would be really good
A lot of that removal is creature based and there aren't any creatures that are better than the ones we're reanimating.
Toxic deluge would be good but my metas best decks don't really use creatures and the creature based decks are too easy to beat already

Generate infinite mana, cast tassy and activate a billion times to get your library in your deck. If they don't have a creature use terastodon or beast within on whatever. Now cast shift on a creature. They manifest and you get shift back with tassy. Repeat shifting the creatures until you manifest the entire library. Yay you win.
I don't like those cards because they're not mill I can control. When I mill myself I want to pick a card and put it in hand, like with forbidden alchemy. If I'm just dumping I often throw away cards that make be useful.

I would kinda relish the ability to try and kill the table if Reality Shift got exiled. Granted, in my build I can just use Crypt Ghast during the Palinchron loop, finding Venser, Shaper Savant, or using Volrath's Stronghold to keep putting a single creature on top of my library every turn while I hold the best cards in hand. My favorite theoretical way to win with infinite mana and no Reality Shift is to blow up enough of my nonland, noncreature permanents with Terastodon and create an elephant army to overrun my opponents while holding on to counterspells and Prophet of Kruphix with Volrath's Stronghold keeping me alive. The BUG way to overrun your opponents...
But in case you don't want to go through convoluted board states to win with infinite mana and Tasigur, just play another useful piece of card draw or exiling effect that can kill an opponent. Think of Sign in Blood or Sadistic Sacrament. I run Praetor's Grasp in addition to Reality Shift. It provides some redundancy to Reality Shift in case it gets exiled by a mass 'yard exiling affect like Nihil Spellbomb and is a great card anyways. Having another Pact of Negation when going off has been super useful in a game I played a while ago and having another tutor effect is really useful too.
@Dies
Have you considered Crucible of Worlds recently? I know it performs the same basic function as Life from the Loam in your build and I wonder why you choose not to run Crucible. I personally prefer the Crucible, especially since I'm not running the Cycle lands (Ie: Barren Moor) to create a card advantage engine.
So Gilded Drake has rocked in Maelstrom Pulse's slot, it's going to be staying in for a good while.
My ewit testing has shown it to be fairly clunky in my build so far, but I'll keep it in for a bit longer.
I took out Prophet of Kruphix! Not because it's bad, in fact far from it! I just disliked how it made games a bit annoying for the rest of the table (tasigur every turn, to be precise) in terms of time taken. My group hasn't explicitly complained about it yet, but it's in their eyes. Plus there's talk of it getting banned in Januart, and I want to test the deck without it.
Song of the Dryads went in that slot, and it has been an extremely good silver bullet.

Big fan of this idea. If Reality Shift doesn't feel like enough for you, I'd run Thought Scour in place of one of the cantrips. You'll sacrifice some consistency, but gain an extra wincon. Plus, playing Tassy on t2 off a thought scour feels great! Also, no one is going to exile a Thought Scour.

Eternal Witness has been fairly clunky for me as well. We already cut Regrowth, so why should ewit stay in? And yeah, Prophet has been getting annoying for me as well. It's always fun when you can say you run a G/U deck without that monster, too
Is Maelstrom Pulse not better than Song of the Dryads? Song ramps your opponents and can be removed, while Maelstrom can't deal with lands but hits tokens hard. I don't have trouble with many lands, so I don't see why Song is that good.

How does Thought Scour win the game? When you recur it with Tasigur's ability, you still have to draw a card for each activation of thought scour, right?
In my meta at least, we have had a recent uptick in the amount of decks that are heavily reliant on their general (zur, arcum, etc). It's like having tuck back again, although it has some heavy downsides.
I don't really care for crucible here since on turn three without any ramp it's not what I want to play. Also we don't need too many lands to be able to go off so making sure I hit land drops later one seems irrelevant
