Hey guys so I've actually moved on from commander on to 60 card decks so I don't have any commander decks.
Anyway I've started my own gameplay channel in which I play games (Magic also)
I built a Tasigur EDH deck a year ago, but didn't play so often.. I would like to Play again and just want to ask for the best actual Tasigur EDH reanimate list..?
Can somebody explain me the gameplan/combos etc. in short?
Thank you!
Basically plan A is cheat in Jin-Gixtais as early as possible. You can do that with Entomb or plenty of tutors and discard from hand effects. Then keep him on board for a turn and counter people's removal to have everyone hellbent except yourself. If he dies during someone else's turn you can easily draw 7 and reanimate him again.
Once opponents have no hand you can set up a reanimation to get Palinchron/Deadeye on the board and generate infinte mana, play your general and draw your deck and graveyard, play lab man and win. You can also tainted pact + lab man for easy wins as well.

We have our first thing I want to test here.
The potential of a -3 for all my opponents creatures off Bazaar makes this seem real good, plus it puts itself in the yard by itself.
Sure it's not as powerful as Elesh Norn but I think it's the closest we will get for a while

So with hulk being unbanned, are we changing the deck in anyway to accommodate the new unbanning? Seems like we would need to change the deck a lot, but hulk seems super strong, so it might be worth it?

I'm not certain what the changes would be. I think having white for Karmic guide is important so I'm not certain it works super well in here.

You don't need white if you go with Mike, walking ballista and a sac outlet
Would you need a sac outlet? Ballista comes in and dies and gets undying, remove a counter and repeat.
You could also sac it, get Visera seer and phyrexian delver, get it back and sac it again and now you have an outlet.
My issue with this is a vast majority of the creatures in the deck get put in the graveyard early so searching your library for a certain combo doesn't work super well when part of them are already in the yard

Mystic remora- Will often draw you a bunch of cards. With a low curve we can keep playing and pay for upkeeper
Hermit druid- Now with Lab man and only 3 basics I think he's better. I cut him before when I had 7-8 lands since I felt like that was too much but maybe 3 is ok. Yes I get that he's best with 0
Sphinx Ambassador- Interesting idea. May be useless in too many situations but stealing a creature every turn seems ok

What I always say is that the mystic fish will always grant your wish.
Honestly, on a good turn 1 Remora, I often don't pay the upkeep past 1 or 2. By that time I've drawn plenty of cards and I have what I need to set into motion the stupidity of the deck.
I also like it better than Rhystic Study late game because it doesn't slow your tempo and people can't as easily play around it.
I mean, yeah, it's bad when people play creatures or nothing, but in those cases you're pretty happy with the situation regardless.
My friend Brian did a video on my deck that you guys can see if you're interested. Honestly by this point at page 125 there isn't anything new in the vid but you get to see my handsome face make tons of mistakes because I'm nervous :p.

I don't know about Compost but I love Baral, Chief of Compliance in my Dralnu reanimator deck. You run more than enough instants and sorceries to benefit from the cost reduction and being able to toss reanimation targets is pretty great.

I'm thinking that Forbidden Alchemy and Life/Death will be on the board while I test Baral and Compost. I'm not certain about compost so if it doesn't work out then I'll throw in mystic remora.
Also, will be doing a write up soon on another 2HG tourney happening tomorrow.
Will be playing with the same team
Will be adding Pyrexian Metamorph, Thoughtseize, and Mystic Remora while cutting Lab man, life from the loam, and tainted pact for tomorrow
Compost and Baral have actually both been insane in the games I've played them in. Granted it hasn't been too much testing but I really enjoyed them every time they landed

A little while ago you were rocking Partner Commanders for this deck right? What made you switch back to Tasigur?
There wasn't much too add off white, the manabase became more fragile, and key cards like eldritch evolution, toxic deluge, and pernicious deed became a lot worse.
Even with that I may go back to it one day once I'm more certain

The only reason I ask is I want to build a BUx deck that wins via big synergistic bombs. I'm trying to decide what general to use.
If I were to go back I would pick Tyama instead of Ravos. Other than that I think the list would be fairly similar

How does this list hold up against super fast combo decks like Food Chain Tazri? I want to either rebuild Tasigur or build Tazri and I'm looking for opinions.
How does this list hold up against super fast combo decks like Food Chain Tazri? I want to either rebuild Tasigur or build Tazri and I'm looking for opinions.
In my experience, it does very well against those decks if you know the right plays to make (what to counter, or target with removal). The deck's low cost answers make it such that we can deal with multiple threats early on. I find it's ok to sometimes hold off our game plan, to neuter the combo deck first and then get back to the win.

I've played against Tazri food chain and typically Tazri is a bit faster.
In 1 v 1 they will typically be able to combo out around the same time we will but they're a little less fragile.
In a multiplayer setting I think we would have the advantage since Tazri is a bit more of a boogeyman so you can easily stay in 2nd place and combo out once it's more clear. However, as far as versus Tazri it's faster.
Tazri is a tier one deck and very hard to beat. We run a bunch of answers but so do they so I'm thinking it's favored to Tazri around 60/65 percent. However, in multiplayer, I think Tasigur has the advantage.

Yeah, I should clarify I have only played in Multiplayer Contests versus such combo decks. I feel like 1v1 is just a different monster altogether.
Well, it depends on your group. If no one is playing answers early on then it doesn't matter because both decks will win early and fast. I think Tazri overall is more powerful but draws more hate once people know what you're doing. Not saying that's bad, it can fight through it decently, but so can we. I've played Tazri only a few times so far and like I said it's usually favored for them but none of those games have been multiplayer (I think)
