It works fairly well and It holds its own against most decks, I did lose to Phage with pro black recently though. A lot of it just depends on the cards I draw.
I play in two different Metas. One in which all of my decks are insanely overpowered, and another where I can win sometimes but am not the best player around.
Havent had too many problems with Teysa. I had Final Judgment and Hallowed Burial in at one point, both would get rid of Sigardia if you run into her a lot, I don't.

oh very nice. i havent played against her i dont think anyone i know plays her but she seems very troublesome for me lol. my friend has a phage deck its sick.

I have been running darkest hour and have run into a couple spots where I was pretty sad I didn't have any white creatures to use for Teysa's Exile Ability. I am thinking about taking it out because of that. I don't run it with blasting station, it does give me a very strong replacement affect from Teysa but I really don't like loosing her first ability.

yeah i understand i wish painters servant was legal then you could do both !
Yawgmoth's Will : It's okay, but it's a one shot. You need to win the turn you cast it. You already have lots of recursion anyway. Gets back your artifacts though Victimize : Kinda really good, but in a traditional reanimator, where you bring back some awesome fatty. Bonus points if used on Body Snatcher. I ran it with a Mimeoplasm reanimator
Infernal Tribute : It's okay I guess, but I prefer Claws of Gix Field of Souls: Too costly for the spirit of your deck (get it?), it does some work but you use too many tokens for it to be relevant. Grave Titan: It does work, and brings tokens. Watch out if it gets stolen, it can be tough to take out Mimic Vat : I was disappointed by this. Unless you use it to exile your opponent's creatures, it isnt't worth a slot Martyr's Cause : Helped me win and combo in a game. Try it when you're bored Doomed Necromancer: too slow and not cheap enough. Caretaker is much better than this
I tried most of these cards in my Orzhov deck, which was piloted by Teysa at the time it was a token theme deck. Very nice guide by the way, makes me want to try my list again. On a side note, I found both Elspeths very useful, although only in 1v1. Elspeth Tirel can be relevant in multiplayer though, due to her third ability. Plus she gains you a metric ton of life. I also rand the new Sorin at some point, mostly for his emblems. BTW, your deck must really hate Pestilence.
Schondetta, is there a reason you don't run Luminarch Ascension? I am guessing because of the target it paints on your back.
yeah pretty much lol. it gets removed WAY too fast before its effective in multiplayer. i have used the card before in other decks for 1v1 where its easier to control the hate for it so i play it in 1v1 decks.

i see yawg as purely value. and gets the stuff out of the yard if someone has a bog coming up or something. i havent tested it yet though.
i appreciate your contributions btw. a lot of what you say makes sense.
thanks! i worked real hard on it and it will only get better
im on the fence about elspeth 1.0 i have her and shes my favorite card ever but she collects dust in my binder people get too crazy over her minus ability. i wish i could errata it off there. same goes with 2.0. id actually run sorin in here. hes cheap enough and provides stable black tokens. and provides an extra angle of winning in the form of anthems which i would like to incorporate one day as a back up strategy.
luckily no one runs Pestilence at my LGS lol!
if you ever want to throw back your b/w list or w/e im more then happy to help out.
Ok, I'm about to make a thread on it, but here's the offcial list. It's more of a battlecruiser style, since people were complaining about my combos too much. Commanders are interchangeable, depending on how I feel about my opponents. The planeswalkers are mainly for 1v1 play, because it happens quite regularly. Sorin and Karn are replaced by Geist-Honored Monk and Cloudgoat Ranger. Liliana of the Veil is also replaced by Fleshbag Marauder. I do not run Darkest Hour and Blasting Station because my friends are tired of it, but I am aware of the multiple combos it enables.
I really want to try out Abyssal Gatekeeper. Seems like a great card if it dies often, but I have Gravepact in its place for now, mainly because Academy rector is in the list.
It needs work, but it is purposely battlecruiser in order to lower the cutthroatness of my meta and the power of this deck.

very nice list. i like the inclusion of Baneslayer Angel and Mirror Entity . I honestly dont know what a battlecruiser deck is. do you care to explain?
very nice list. i like the inclusion of Baneslayer Angel and Mirror Entity . I honestly dont know what a battlecruiser deck is. do you care to explain?
First off, thanks for the imput. The Mirror Entity gets even more awesome the later the game goes. I need to bring back Necrotic Sliver, because this with tokens and Mirror Entity and a lot of mana to spare gets really crazy.
If you played StarCraft (the original one), you must remember the feeling you got when you finished building your first Battlecruiser, which was effectively the most powerful unit of the game. It was awesome. It was tough though. I guess the point is to play awesome creatures, which are not "good" per se, but awesome anyway, like Elesh Norn, or Avacyn (which in my case is Baneslayer, because believe it or not, Baneslayer is more fair than Avacyn).
Some starcity guy said something like this on Battlecruiser magic:
"Starcraft reference about how the game is about building up to your most powerful units, rather than merely riding the first cards you play to victory"
In short, for EDH it is more like "play big flavorful creatures" or something, and not overoptimize the deck to be ultra competitive. For example, I know my deck can hold its own, but it is nowhere near the level of some of my more competitive decks (Edric, for example).

i had a nice hand i played Stoneforge Mystic turn 2 . mana rock next turna and played the Skullclamp i got with SFM. i Drew a Buried alive soon after to get Blood Ghast, Nether Traitor, and Reveillark. he played doran on turn 3 per usual doran decks and an Unstoppable Ash championing Treefolk Harbinger . the trample kind sucked while i was setting up my board. eventually i got teysa out and went crazy with Sclamp and Bloodghast/Traitor. i drew a vampiric tutor to get Blood Artist and then drew Reanimate targeting Reveillark 2 turns later. i had an early Soul Warden out to help against his trampling guys who had Sword of Feast and famine and Greaves on him. If you are looking for creature based answers to non creature spells in white/black, the thing I would recommend is putting in a Yosei, the Morning Star. That card doesn't interact with spells per se, but can prevent players from casting them. It is also a very good rattlesnake card. The only way not to hurt your curve would be to replace Requiem Angel, although that goes a bit against the theme. Yosei can also be used to lock opponents out of a game, which is less fun, but if a player annoys you (which in my playgroup is usually the mono blue Kira, Great Glass-Spinner guy) you can lock him out of the game. Not fun, but effective.
I had to cut him because I traded him for a Kokusho, the Evening Star (btw, I need to update my list, quite a few major changes have been undergone), which I would definately recommend because it is a powerhouse. It isn't an answer to anything, except perhaps aggro, but it does work and can go infinite with Nim Deathmantle shenanigans.
I would be interested to know thow the deck plays out in more detail on the original post, for example one of my wincons is Blood Artist or the aristocrat with Sun Titan, Angelic Renewal, and Viscera Seer or any other sac outlet. Or I just beat face with a 12/12 Grave Titan (due to Norn or the other B/W lord and the Cathar's Crusade) and his zombie fellows.
If you could write more on the interactions in the deck, that would really help out beginners to understand it, because let's face it, we're not playing mono-green and interactions in this deck are much more complicated. It can also help "veteran" players to discover more interactions they might have missed. Also, your thread is becoming really nice, sometimes as good or better than other primers I have read.

OH MY GOD JESUS CHRIST HAMBURGERS! I TOTALLY FORGOT KOKUSHO WAS UNBANNED!!! literally 1 second after i read your post i made my way over to ebay and bought one (for $15 bucks really good deal)
he is absolutely going in here, curve arguments aside he holds his weight and closes the game FAST. like even Deathmantling once or twice a turn with him is going to win you the game. OMG throw in Vizkopa Guildmage's second ability. or even a subtle double Unburial Rites . GG. i sound like a 16 year old high school girl right now but i am really that excited about it.
you traded a white star for the black star? was the other person on drugs? i never get lucky with amazing trades lol there always fair for me
Yeh grave titan and Norn or really close to making the cut. if i wanted to losen up the theme a bit and go more sideways ( which is something i can easily change too) good strat nonetheless
the interactions on the other hand are a WIP. im slowly typing them in in section 5 as i remember or discover them ( there is so many i cant possibly remember them) but yes you are right it isnt mono green and getting those interactions typed out is really important to people understanding what this deck is about. my own inept for written communication is hindering me from effectively communicating the synergies in a timely manner. so any feedback in that regard is appreciated also.
thanks for that post btw it was very valuable to me and the thread. :)im glad to hear some positive feedback on my thread as i worked really hard on it. i hope to one day make it an all encompassing type-deal .im just so obsessed with Teysa.i think my GF is jealous lol
havent gotten in the mail yet hopefully he comes tomorrow as i can only play Real Life magic friday and Saturday nights. if i get him tomorrow ill be sure to post some playtest results.
Eldrazi Monument could be sweet too! Especially since you'll be sacrificing like crazy
yes that was one i wanted to try out when it fluttered about a trade binder in front of me. the indestructible creatures clause by itself makes this card insane. THanks!
Damn, I forgot about the monument! Great idea! What about Corpse Connoisseur? Found it in the Tibalt vs Sorin duel deck, I use it in addition to Buried Alive.

your better off with Avacyn, angel of hope man, i run her in my Teysa and she is perfect for the deck.

But her cost!!! I'd run her if people in my playgroup stopped Briberying me.

Also, Nether Spirit. Is your grave too full to accomodate him, or is he great? I'm also trying Cadaver Imp for more recursion, and he's both Sun titan and Reveillark approved!

not a big fan of CC in this deck. if i wanted to get heavy in reanimation then i would run him

. Nether Traitor, bloodghast, and skeleton are all miles better and get the job done just fine. and spirits @upkeep effect is too slow. he is just not needed. although he was really good in Braids, cabal minion when she was legal as a general. i have phyrexian reclamation for cadavar imp. its nice that the ability is on the creature but for this paticular purpose its much more cheap to run reclamation and its at instant speed

thanks for that post btw it was very valuable to me and the thread. :)im glad to hear some positive feedback on my thread as i worked really hard on it. i hope to one day make it an all encompassing type-deal .im just so obsessed with Teysa.i think my GF is jealous lol

yes that was one i wanted to try out when it fluttered about a trade binder in front of me. the indestructible creatures clause by itself makes this card insane. THanks!
your better off with Avacyn, angel of hope man, i run her in my Teysa and she is perfect for the deck.
But her cost!!! I'd run her if people in my playgroup stopped Briberying me.

Also, Nether Spirit. Is your grave too full to accomodate him, or is he great? I'm also trying Cadaver Imp for more recursion, and he's both Sun titan and Reveillark approved!
not a big fan of CC in this deck. if i wanted to get heavy in reanimation then i would run him
Avacyn is amazing. but i dont want this to be reanimate.dec and i dont imagine myself ever hardcasting her.
amen to that..or acquire
