I used to have Burgeoning in my deck before I started the primer. Never have a received as much hate as when I played that. Even if I didn't net anymore land than if I'd played Exploration (because I only had 2 lands in my opening hand, probably not the smartest thing to keep), as soon as people see that Burgeoning allows you to profit from their land drops, they will start foaming at the mouth and go all twitchy-eyed.
Not worth it, IMO.
One curious omission that I didn't catch onto before is Wolfbriar Elemental. No card in my deck has won me more games than him. Any particular reason you're not running it (especially considering that you're also rocking Craterhoof Behemoth, which I don't even do)?
FWIW, I agree with your assessment that Lotus Cobra is better in this deck than Gyre Sage. Gyre Sage does provide excellent mana consistency, but what you need more from a 2 drop is explosiveness, which Cobra and Rofellos just do better. By the time Gyre Sage's consistency is warranted, you've already got better cards providing that function.
That's a fair enough reason, but I think in his case, you'll want to make an exception. He really is *that* good when paired with Omnath. When I go for a finisher, if I have to chose between Avenger and Wolfbriar... Wolfbriar wins.
I might try him again, but he was pretty lackluster when I tried him in an earlier version of this deck (I've been piloting Omnath for close to 2 years) and when he was good it was when I was already winning making him very win more.
It might also have to do with meta differences.

I finally got a Gaea's Cradle. Been meaning to get one since forever. So that's in. Crop Rotation is in to fetch it.
Rude Awakening is an all-star in this deck. I decided I want another one. So early harvest is in.
I like draw. Alot. Soul of the Harvest is in.
Cutting Chord of Calling probably seems strange. But the deck is becoming very tight and the pure gas that this deck has is making some of the tutors a little more lack-luster.
Well like I said, my list has become incredibly tight. And there are three more cards I want to add.
In order of how I'd like to make room. Staff of Domination- This has finally came off the banned list :). This deck produces insane amounts of mana. So even if I'm not going infinite, it's utility is great. And of course it combos with Brofellos. And if I turn Cradle into a creature via Khamal or Rude Awakening. Planar Portal- God I've been meaning to add this card forever. It seems really awesome. Especially since I can grab any game ender I need like TnN or G-wave. Regrowth- Eternal Witness, Recollect and Praetor's Council are all-stars in this deck. And I would like to add another.
The only card I can think of off the top of my head that could come out is Genesis. If he gets cut, it will be for the same reason as Spearbreaker Behemoth. It's just very situational. When the situation arises, he is awesome. But there have been many times where the situation never came.
Thoughts on the changes, my 'want to includes', or things that can come out, would be much appreciated.
I'd argue against the exclusion of Chord of Calling. If Omnath gets tucked, your massive mana pool goes away. In addition to being able to answer threats at instant speed, Chord of Calling also works really well with your creature toolbox. Along this same line of thought have you considered Winding Canyons or Yeva, Nature's Herald?
Really strong list overall. Is there a reason for the three flying answers in Silklash Spider, Predator, and Squall Line, or is it just random flying hate? I could understand one, or maybe even two flying answers in the deck, but I think a third slot could be used better.

Omnath is non-essential to my game plan. Sure the deck works better with him around (what deck doesn't) but he is more of an engine than a win con.
I've never been impressed with the flash. I don't use it as protection for Omnath as much as I use it for pseudo haste and combat tricks.
I feel like Orrey is plenty enough.

Multiple Kaalia players. But besides that two of those cards are in there for reasons other than flying hate.
Iona sees plenty of play in my group, so I make sure to pack some colorless answers to her. So that's one reason for the inclusion of flagship.
Squall Line is a back up win con if I'm the player with the highest life.

i feel if your playing competitively with mono green (depending on your meta) Krosan grip is needed. i find it extremely useful against top when i play omnath.
As a sort of Voltron card that powers up Omnath, what about Sword of Feasr and Famine? Also, Harrow may be a good ramp spell for this deck. One more question: although you do have a lot of mana ramp, does 34 lands ever seem too few to you in this deck?

Played a few games with the deck tonight minus a few of the expensive cards (mostly just gaeas cradle, koz, karn). Worked very well, almost too well with the whole board going for me most games. Only thing I felt was lacking was a bit more enchantment removal (pillowfort/stax decks). Beast within and primordial handled it but another 1 or 2 non creature ways of doing about it (ie cheaper and instant) might be good. Other than that only thing I'd add is hall of the bandit lord which crop rotation can fetch too (thinking omnath and orochi)

Mileage will definitely vary from playgroup from playgroup, depending on what is common in your group. No one I play with plays pillowfort and my Zur deck is the only stax deck. I generally feel like Swiftfoot Boots and Concordant Crossroads are enough, but I have a Hall of the Bandit Lord so I can give it a shot. Don't like that it's colorless though.
If you're having enchantment trouble, I suggest Krosan Grip and Nature's Claim.
Glad you enjoyed the deck. Get back with me after you've played it some more.

My deck isn't voltron.
Harrow is worse than any ramp card I currently run. And worse than every other card.
Well, I get that its main objective isn't to win through commander damage, it still has potential to win through it, which Feast and Famine helps with, or can just be equipped to any other creature, just to be able to untap lands and make Omnath bigger. Also, Harrow isn't that bad, and allows you to use the mana you put onto the battlefield immediately, thus also potentially making Omnath bigger.

Harrow is bad because it causes you to sacrifice a land as a COST. If someone counters it (looking at you, Blue players), you just set yourself back about 2 turns, 1 for the cast and 1 for the sac'd land. Cards like Hunting Wilds or Skyshroud Claim are far less risk, net you an extra land overall, and can still get double landfall triggers.
Been running a more Voltron version of Omnath, but I noticed we share a lot of cards, especially the flyer hate. I'm working on revamping my creature base slightly so it's going through some changes at present and trying to add some more mana dump/creature wincons into the deck in order to utilize my haste, etc. Just wanted to say this looks like a great list. I love green so much and it makes cuts difficult because of it, especially with the wealth of creatures and here I am running a million artifacts to get in for General Damage. Definitely gleaning some cut ideas from here though. See anything you like in Theros?
Also, have you considered Noxious Revival instead of Recollect It is cheaper (potentially free with Phyrexian mana) and let's you play at instant speed at the cost of putting it on top of your deck. Straight to hand is a nice perk, but I like to be a little more interactive with the stack when I can.

I've been playing a lot of Netrunner lately and haven't had a whole lot of time to give Theros a detailed look but I assume it will contain cards that I will at least try out.
Noxious Revival is ok. The cost of Recollect is a non-issue as mana is never tight. But getting the card into my hand is super important. Whenever I draw my deck, I need the Recollect to put an early harvest or Rude Awakening back into my hand to make enough mana to play everything I need to win.
Though it does need to become Regrowth.
My original build was Voltron, but I found that I had to devote a lot of slots to equipment and some subpar creatures to make it work. The cool thing about Omnath is that you can still get in for commander damage without having to add all those evasion/trample cards and the general protection cards. And those slots can become better utility and more win cons.
Green is definitely my favorite color and I love playing Mono green. This deck is quite hard for me to make cuts, but I play it more than any of my other decks so it becomes a bit easier to see which cards aren't carrying their weight. I need to double check the OP to see if I forgot to update any changes I made (I probably did).
