So, after goldfishing about 15 games with your current list (including Aether Vial) using Cockatrice, I've recently changed my mind about Aether Vial being an auto-include in an EDH Goblins deck such as this one. In Legacy goblins, the Vial is absolutely awesome and essential, but in EDH, with the games typically lasting longer, it just isn't needed. This is basically what everyone but me has been saying all along, so I just wanted to be a man and admit I was wrong on this one for the record.

I appreciate you sharing your experience with the card, even though it didn't meet your expectations. One of the hardest parts about being a deckbuilder is admitting when your ideas don't work (which does happen all the time).

Goblin Rally, while being on curve I'm not sure if it's totally worth it, but after Cockatrice updates Oracle it'll definitely see testing. It just seems win more right now, assuming you follow a perfect curve play.
At that point, I don't think this card does much for us. And it taking up a 5 cmc slot while not offering anything other than a few goblin tokens...It could definatly help reastablishing yourself after a boardwipe, but that's about all it seems good for, and it's on curve for that.
@ RWF Less : What's your take on Dynacharge? (overloaded, of course!!)
Seems a bit stupid with the amount of tokens we generate.
It's an effective reprint of Trumpet Blast for what this deck would like it to do. Trumpet Blast isn't in the deck, so I'm going to go ahead and venture that it isn't likely that the card would be put in.

Well put. That was essentially my thought on it as well.
I've been playing Krenko a lot lately, and I'll have some updates up soon.

Oh, I found a card that could be pretty interesting. Today after the mention of Dynacharge. It made me wonder if there was a buyback version of this kind of effect. To my surprise there is. What's better about it? It has storm.
Haze of Rage it's a card to definitely look at. A one shot +3/+0 for 6 mana doesn't seem bad. Or using it over and over with dropping other spells to get +2/+0 for 4 multiple times seems pretty good.
On another note, I'm finally getting around to getting/proxying up the cards for this deck and playing it at my Local EDH scene, really looking forward to it.

With the shear amount of spells we can cast in a turn, Haze of Rage really interests me, great find!
I know there will be times when I top deck it and I'll cry a little inside, but at most points, it has amazing potential.
I hope you get the chance to sleeve it up soon!

Yup, just put in the order, should be delivered by the weekend. Going to be proxying up some of the cards like Goblin Piledriver and Sharpshooter, but thankfully the people in my EDH group is good with it. I figure I'll get them from trades in time.

Haze of Rage was quite a bit of fun in testing, though I think In the Web of War is better because it is a haste enabler, and I'm not sure if there's anything else I'd want to cut for Haze.
I'm looking at cutting a land to add Mana Crypt. Fast mana in a deck that aims to be fast and isn't worried too much of the repercussions (i.e. if we get pushed to mid and late game, we wont be winning in many cases). But I do wonder if that puts us too low on land count. I do like to run a fetchland or two as well, because if we draw it going into the midgame, it'll get two cards we don't want out of the deck, instead of just the one.
I've also been considering Goblin Rally, even though it's over-costed, because putting 4 Goblins into play for a flat cost has to be decent... right?

I plan on playing Rally in my paper deck but havn't been sold on it online. But as for adding in mana accel, I did some testing a bit back where I changed the mana base and cut out some of the top cmc of the deck (Ib, Kiki), to add in ramp. It's what I'm currently running on Cockatrice. Also, to go with the hand cycling of Reforge and Wheel, I threw in Memory Jar, it's good.

Oh wow, you cut Kiki and Ib? Huh... well, I guess to each their own. I couldn't see either of those leaving my list, sparing a ban. I'll just be running 34 lands, Sol Ring, and Mana Crypt, which I think is fine and gives us plenty of speed.

I've never been a Fan of Ib, and Kiki was decent, but he would sit in my hand until the very end. There was never a time I'd rather spend 5 mana to cast him than drop 2-3 other things. Both are good, but they didn't really fit how I wanted to play the deck.

To each their own I guess.
Ib has been a wincon on multiple occasions, and nothing I could see pulling.

So I finally got everything for the deck sleeved and ready to go. Because of the fact that I had an Ib and Kiki sitting in with the rest of my cards, they ended up included in the deck, figure I'll test them out in paper where the meta is a bit different than trying to be competitive online.
But, as I was looking through some of my cards I came across something that I'm wondering why it didn't dawn on me sooner. Thousand-Year Elixir. I have never been really happy with Umbral Mantle in the deck, but I kept it in because there wasn't anything that was really as good at doing what Mantle did. But I think the Elixir is much better. There is the obvious thing, which is you can't activate Krenko 3 times in one turn with it, but is more than 2 ever really needed? Plus, and this is the big thing, Elixir gives Krenko haste, which one more thing which allows for haste, is extremely nice, and it also gives Krenko the 2 activations per turn.
If you havn't tried Elixir, I would. If you have and didn't like it, I'd even give it a second chance.

Elixir was in my original 99 and was cut shortly thereafter. The reason is that Umbral Mantle wins games, where Elixir gets you close, but in most scenarios, not close enough. And yes, often more than 2 activations are needed.

If you want to have a second weaker version of siege-gang commander I would suggest for one more mana goblin marshall. Most lists, i think, do not run the marshall (mine does but i also use moggcatcher to get him out).

GM is actually worse than Goblin Rally, as it is 1 CMC more and usually just puts four 1/1s into play.

One thing you might want to consider is adding a change log to the OP. Because I'm not sure when you added in Chancellor and Mogg Alarm, and not sure what you cut either. Helps people who have been following the deck, as well as keeping a log yourself of what you've done with the deck.

I agree. I was waiting for the list to settle a bit before I added a Change Log, but then I ended up forgetting altogether. I'll get to work on that.

My deck runs a couple less goblins who are just cheap costing in order to pack in more Krenko activations. I figure I would rather pay the few mana to untap krenko to make more than likely > 1 goblin then have a slot for a low drop goblin. Last night I won with around 30 goblins out from a Chancellor drop into a Goblin Piledriver swing on 1 player, 28 dmg from hasted gobbos + Goblin Warstrike at #2, and Roar of the crowd on player 3.
The deck wins in so many different fashions it is one of the funner decks to play. Cavern of souls has really been huge for counter protection.

I've run all those cards actually. They've all been cut for one reason or another. I dislike Goblin Warstrike/Roar of the Crowd because they're completely dependent on your board state, I'd rather run more token producers or Goblins. Sword was just too expensive, and unneeded at most times. Burn at the Stake was a fun card, but didn't end up making the cut. I'm still considering Thousand-Year Elixir though... and a major decklist update is coming soon anyways, so that may end up making the list.

I like the elixir the most just because if gives Krenko the activation haste and it doubles as an untapper which is just bonus.

T1: 1 Goblins T2: 3 Goblins T3: 4 Goblins (Haste Enabler as well) T4: 4 Gobs + Krenko = 10 Gobs

T4: Kreko + 9 Gobs, someone board wipes, T5: 4 Gobs, T6: Krenko + 9 Gobs (Assuming haste)
Definitely going to need to be tested to see if it's usually win more, or if it saves us more after a board wipe.
