An Opal-Eye, Konda's Yojimbo pillow fort / enchantment shenanigans deck, by Hallucigenia
Introduction
"In the midst of this terrific commotion, England stood erect: wrapt up in her own impregnability, the storm could not affect her: and therefore, while others trembled in its blast, she smiled at its fury. Never did the 'Empress Island' appear so magnificently grand; – she stood by herself, and there was a peculiar splendour in the loneliness of her glory."
-- Robert Cooney. A Compendious History of the Northern Part of the Province of New Brunswick and of the District of Gaspé in Lower Canada.
This is my attempt at a fun, political, tricky but casual-effective mono-white deck, with Opal-Eye, Konda's Yojimbo at the helm.
This deck combines a pillow fort politics theme with a fun array of enchantment shenanigans with enough voltron-based oomph to finish the game when you need to. This deck is versatile, with a good toolbox, and furthermore robust, seasoning attacks and wraths with ease and maintaining decent card advantage.
I'll expand this section as time goes on (and may shoot for a Primer), but for now I'll go over a few main things.
A Quick Note on Pillowfort:
What to (and What Not to) Do
First off I'm gonna make a few quick observations about Pillowfort as an archetype, how I feel it's received by the community as a whole, and how the function and philosophy of this deck is affected. While not as controversial as Group Hug or Chaos, veterans of this community will know that Pillowfort enjoys a... mixed reception on MTG Salvation. I'll try to explain as concisely as possible what the conceptual threshold is between acceptable and unacceptable (remembering, of course, that tables will vary in attitude).
The division is this: by playing a game (that is not Calvinball) with your friends, you're all committing to winning with an agreed-upon-beforehand set of rules. It's widely agreed that it's bad manners to then turn around and ignore this agreement once the game starts. A core rule of EDH is that the last person standing is the winner. Even as the pilot of a Pillowfort deck, your aim is to be the last person standing. Your aim is not to make your opponent's inevitable victory as long and as grueling as possible. Your aim is to win.
With that said...
The overall object of this deck is to use the multiplayer format to your advantage. Pillowforting, in this deck, is to control the flow, as well as the pace, of combat in the game. It invests enough defensive and "deflective" resources to make sure your opponents are constantly under more pressure than you are; any more investment in defense and it will not be able to pull the trigger when the time is right. Ideally, and especially through tutoring, it's able to go either direction at a moment's notice, throwing up a wall or laying down a beating. This requires a delicate balance in deckbuilding, but what results is a rewarding deck that requires good piloting and threat assessment.
The Commander
Opal-Eye is actually a really interesting political general, for a number of reasons:
-- He turns heads... away from you. A turn three Opal-Eye makes you a more troublesome target in the midrange, deflecting pressure away from you and hosing those early Trygon Predators and Cold-Eyed Selkies.
-- He can take damage onto himself from anywhere: you, an opponent, an opponent's creature, an opponent's planeswalker. As such he can, for example, stop one player from running away with a game by rescuing another player, rescue a creature that's mutually beneficial, or to simply play politics.
-- He takes damage onto himself from the source, which is noteworthy for spells like Earthquake: if you tap him when Earthquake resolves, he will take all damage done to all creatures and players, thus screwing over damage-based board-wipe if it suits you.
Protection acts as both offence and defence in this deck: creatures like Commander Eesha, Mystic Crusader and Mirran Crusader can not only be buffed and sent through on offence, but are also good targets for Pariah depending on your match-up. These are the "shock troops" of the deck, who round out the curve, can provide early pressure, good buff targets later, and solid emergency defences with Pariah.
Similarly, Unquestioned Authority can be used both as a nice combination with Opal-Eye, it can also send that buffed creature through that often complicated multiplayer board and find you that win.
The Swords are not only excellent offence and provide some nice card advantage in white, they can also "cover the rearguard" by giving defensive creatures some added robustness.
Enchantment Shenanigans
Enchantments are important for a number of reasons in this deck.
Repeatable enchantments are good card advantage.
-- They are, of course, robust. Being able to rescue the enchantment is important card advantage.
-- Newer, better targets will invariably come along in EDH.
-- They create card draw engines with cards like Mesa Enchantress and Kor Spiritdancer.
-- They pump out plenty of angels via Sigil of the Empty Throne.
There's some pretty effective enchantment tribal in here. Ethereal Armor applied very good pressure and Sphere of Safety really ruins the day of a lot of decks, and provides you the breathing room you need to outfit your Mirran Crusader and make some big swings.
Enchantment strategies can be explosive after wraths... even if they manage to destroy your important pieces, you've got stuff like Retether, Replenish, Silent Sentinel, etc.
Finally, this deck runs the full enchantment toolbox with cards like Idyllic Tutor and Auratouched Mage. You can grab removal via Oblivion Ring, artifact/enchantment hate via Aura of Silence and card draw in the form of Inheritance, as well as the array of buffs and Pacifisms.
Pillow Fort
There's some Pariah-based pillowforting in here; many of the creatures here are good at preventing damage or are outright Indestructible. Pariah's Shield is a useful addition to the deck's small Equipment package. Short of Exile effects or artifact/enchantment hate, this puts you in a useful political position.
And, of course, there's the usual array of white pillow fort enchantments like Sphere of Safety and Soul Snare. A card I especially like here is Gossamer Chains, as it's another good repeater for Enchantress and Empty Throne and combines really nicely with Vedalken Orrery.
Vigilance
Vigilance is important in this deck since creatures here are so great on the defense. Grab Daybreak Coronet, Mammoth Umbra or Batterskull if you're in need of it.
-- Darksteel Plate for Pariahs like Palisade Giant or multi-blockers like Guardian of the Gateless.
-- Batterskull for offense. Batterskull is great here because, as stated above, Vigilance is important in this deck. The Lifelink is just icing.
-- Protection from the Swords of Fire and Ice, Light and Shadow and War and Peace are beneficial both for defensive creatures like Opal-Eye and Palisade Giant, as well as providing some much needed offense and card advantage.
Vedalken Orrery
This card is so good in this deck, it gets its own section! Flash Pacifisms to respond to attacks; flash buffs onto unblocked creatures; flash in defensive creatures to intercept threats; flash in removal Enchantments like O-Ring; don't commit to auras if you don't need to, such as when you have Autumn-Tail in your hand; flash in a surprise Replenish for all sorts of fun. Orrery also has a really nice combo with Gossamer Chains, allowing you to fog multiple creatures a turn for 2 mana a pop, with "free Buyback". Awesome!

Khans of Tarkir Comments.
About the only card of note from this set was Brave the Sands. I admit that it's two useful abilities in a pretty efficient (enchantment) package, but you should always be careful about running to many cards that want creatures while not running an adequate supply of creatures. It's not guaranteed you'll be up against other aggro decks, in which case this card risks being dead in hand against many archetypes.

Fate Reforged Comments.
More good stuff in the latter two sets.
Citadel Siege. I love this card. It fits the game plan of going offense or defense if needed and is, of course, an enchantment. Tapping a creature on each opponent's combat step is great pillow fort and on offense you get an immediate benefit on your own combat step. This is a great card and I'll find a spot to experiment with it.
Myth Realized. A great sword holder that dodges wraths, but obviously can't carry auras unless you're willing to only have the aura for a single swing. I love this card but this isn't quite the deck for it.
Graceblade Artisan. A bigger Kor Spiritdancer without the card draw clause. Still potentially a powerhouse for three mana, but not a Pariah target without additional protection. Tough sell. I'll be thinking about this.
Ojutai Exemplars. White finally gets a Morphling of sorts, and man is this card ever fun. One of my favourite creatures of all time. Alas, these guys only really get going in this deck with Vedalken Orrery out. Otherwise the creature slots are just too competitive.
Profound Journey. Great in decks like these that are permanent-heavy but diverse in permanent type. Tough to justify for seven mana, though, when cards like Replenish and Sun Titan are just so much better.
Kitsune Sage to Solemn Simulacrum. Having Autumn-Tail online is one of my favourite things to do in Magic, but that much contrivance for some board control that still requires mana investment doesn't cut it these days. Goodbye buddy.

Magic Origins.
Some neat cards in this set. Very exciting.
Starfield of Nyx. Superb enchantment reanimation with the minor upside of possibly adding some late-game oomph. Will itself be a 5/5 if I have a few auras out, which is nothing to sneeze at. Absolutely worth trying.
Sword of the Animist. I don't feel this sword is as much an EDH staple as some are making it out to be, but I feel this is the sort of deck that can make it work -- I have a healthy supply of early sword-carriers and can make use of the mana in the later game.
Archangel of Tithes. A nice pillow-forty sword-carrier with the added upside of being able to press a win in a pinch as well. Very thematic and aggressively-costed. I think she can replace one of the more miscellaneous fatties and drop my curve a bit.
Tragic Arrogance. I feel this deck can make good use of this card; it has a healthy range of permanent types and Arrogance has the obvious upside of choosing what of your opponents' things stay behind. An extremely good card; in fact it's becoming one of my favourites of all time. I'm just not sure what to cut for it.
Blessed Spirits. A nice, evasive Taurean Mauler or sorts for the deck, but I'm not sure if it needs a Taurean Mauler. Works really well only with Flickering Ward and cousins. Nice but doesn't make the cut.
Helm of the Gods. Thematic, but not fond of this card in principle. Equipment slots eat away at aura slots, so an equipment better be damn worthwhile. Giving +3/+3 or +4/+4 is nice for the minimal mana requirements, but not high-impact enough to justify a slot.
Dreamstone Hedron ---> Sword of the Animist. The Sword can probably easily get me three mana's worth of lands, with the added upsides they won't get blown up by Vandalblast. Plus a little P/T boost never hurts. Also tutorable as an equipment.
Deathless Angel ---> Archangel of Tithes. Deathless Angel does what the deck needs and can be irritating to play against when laid down with plenty of mana, but it ain't all the time I have 8+ mana. Let's lower the curve a bit.
Hey, first of all nice List/thread. I'll be looking forward to see some stuff added later on. I love it when people make EDH decks with non standard generals like this one instead of the obvious: Uril, Kaalia etc decks.
Thank you. Expanded on the OP a bit.
I don't know your meta, maybe you could tell us something about that?
Solely multiplayer. I'd put us at maybe a 7-8/10 on the competitiveness scale. Not very ruthless (no Sharuum or Arcum combo type stuff), mostly fun decks, but still skilled enough that we tend to make them pretty stream-lined, as I'm hoping to do here.
Ok on to the deck itself, i see you run a mana intensive deck and in some meta's that's permitted but I'd like to point you to weathered wayfarer. Which can be bonkers if you are falling behind in land drops early and late game. Since Autumn veil needs lots of mana.
How the hell could I have forgotten good old Wayfarer??? Good eye, man.
Pristine's in. I think you responded so quick you got that response in before I realized I missed including her.
Avatar of Hope is a tough one. I looked at her, decided I'd never be casting her for her reduced price. Is she worth distorting my curve further then? The big creature I'm lukewarm on here is Deathless Angel, but even she's pretty damn handy for two less mana.
Gift is a good idea. Just Enlightened Tutor might not be enough for consistency.
Great idea on the land-grab enchantments. The only downside to Endless Horizons versus, say, Armillary Sphere is Sun Titan doesn't grab it back, but I'll probably have better targets anyway. Land Tax might be outside my budget principles, but I'll find out.
Elesh Norn is fab for sure, though she didn't really occur to me as particularly synergistic aside from the Vigilance and the fat bum. Who'd you maybe cut for her?
Dude where's the draw spells? Run Mind's Eye and other artifacts that nets you fuel or this list will run out of steam easily. Land Tax & Scroll Rack is a cute synergy to provide more cards.
Played three games now, won two of them. Very pleased with this deck. Maybe there are too few Exile effects in my metagame, but opponents had trouble dealing with the invincible Pariahs and multi-blockers. They hit some artifact/enchantment hate, but had to often choose between, say, Pariah or Sphere of Safety, and often I was sitting on a Replenish or Sun Titan anyway. Hand stayed full. Didn't get land-screwed. Tricks were fun and flexible. Very pleased.
Good thinking. Was looking at Enchantments, so missed him as he starts as a creature. Considering replacing him with Entangler if it continues to under-achieve.
Dude where's the draw spells? Run Mind's Eye and other artifacts that nets you fuel or this list will run out of steam easily. Land Tax & Scroll Rack is a cute synergy to provide more cards. Open the Vaults?
Running Mind's Eye, of course, plus Inheritance, Dreamstone Hedron and Staff of Nin. Lots of deck-thining. Between these and the above-mentioned Enchantress/Spiritdancer shenanigans this deck has, so far, had no trouble keeping its hand full. I would love both Scroll Rack and Land Tax, but both are outside my budget considerations, I'm afraid.
Open the Vaults is an inferior Replenish / Retether in this deck; I haven't found I need a third of this card type, but I'll keep it in mind in case I just had good luck.
Thanks for the replies, everyone. Please keep them coming!
Pretty epic fight against a friend's WUBRG Enchantment deck.
I put on a lot of early pressure with a Kor Spiritdancer with Ethereal Armor and Luminarch Ascension, keeping my hand full with Forced Worship (wasn't using it against his Bitterblossom Tokens anyway). With the Orrery out I could flash in Forced Worship to get the extra +2/+2 without preventing the attack. Fun times! Nearly had him dead before he managed to stabilize with a Return to Dust, followed by a wrath.
But after a few turns of no Enchantment removal, his soldiers were getting into the triple digits. At that point I was just digging for Austere Command using Crystal Ball. Finally found it, naming Enchantments and small creatures, and was prepared to attack for the win shortly after, but he Replenishes. Crap. Still, between my invincible Guardian and Sphere of Safety I was confident I could fillibuster until his Paradox Haze + Bitterblossom killed him. Alas, the cards were good to him and he found a Merciless Eviction before that could happen.
Ah well, fun game, and the deck continues to do well. I think the deck could use another wrath or two, however.
Clouted a friend's UG deck over the head with a Voice of All with Flickering Ward, Pariah and a Vow of Duty. Poor guy wasn't running an Evacuate in the deck. I wasn't drawing a card the entire game though, which might have been bad luck, but I'll keep an eye on that. Had an almost empty hand when he finally killed the Pariah with a Woodfall Primus and countered my Retether. Grr!
In other news, I realized, like any other tron deck, I should be running lands that spit out/permanently turn into creatures ("until end of turn" manlands don't work with auras, of course). Gargoyle Castle and Stalking Stones added. Will keep an eye out for Kjeldoran Outpost.
So I've been playing the deck on and off for a few months, and while its done reasonably well, I've decided it needs to be a bit more aggressive, as it sometimes has trouble finishing things.
As such I've moved more in the direction of "protection", which can not only get your voltron guy through, but is also pillow-friendly used in combination with cards like Pariah.
As such the deck now has "shock troops" with built-in protection like Commander Eesha, Mirran Crusader, Mystic Crusader and Paladin en-Vec. These dudes not only round out the curve, they provide some early aggression, make great buff targets later game, and make good Pariahs if you need to stall or keep aggression off you.
For similar reasons, I've also added a couple Swords. They also provide some card advantage in mono-white. The deck is now more consistent on offense, while still able to pillow fort if need be, depending on your situation.
I have also:
-- Taken out a lot of ramp, as the mana curve is fine and you can always stall for that sixth land any number of ways
-- Removed a few nonbasics in favour of Plains to make Emeria more consistent
I think Darksteel Mutation will be pretty neat tech in this deck. It's a miniature Humility which is absurdly useful in EDH and it's another source of indestructibility (which, in turn, means that it's a nice double-use tool with Autumn-Tail, Kitsune Sage).
A nice thing to grab with Three Dreams is Darksteel Mutation, Pariah and whatever; put the Mutation on a threatening creature (Avacyn, perhaps?), then put the Pariah on the indestructible bug! Just make sure the player doesn't have a sac outlet.
I also have enough lifegain (and toolbox access to lifegain at a given time) that I'm going to try Well of Lost Dreams. To seal the deal I've also added Sword of War and Peace. The Sword is another nice piece of protection for our pillowforting, some nice pressure, and some lifegain for the well.
Alright, so you'd think Theros and Born of the Gods would be good sets for this deck, and they've been alright, but Bestow has been disappointingly lackluster and there hasn't really been all that much that's made me jump for joy. Nonetheless I'm going to experiment with a few cards.
In: Ghostblade Eidolon. I actually quite like this fella. +1/+1 and double strike for 6 mana ain't horrific and having a double striker early on as a voltron option or left over after a wrath is tempting. Covers both the low and high end of my mana curve, whatever I want. And finally is a body I can tutor for with Idyllic Tutor.
Silent Sentinel. Potentially dangerous late game if you let him stick around. Adds a bit of aggression as well.
Spirit of the Labyrinth. The card I'm most curious about trying. I'm actually thinking she's going to make a big difference in the card race troubles this deck can have if you don't draw your engines.
I've also replaced Gift of Estates with Kor Cartographer and will see how it works out. Cartographer accelerates and has a body for voltron, so I'll see if this outweighs the three plains.
Some might comment that Eidolon of Countless Battles didn't make it. If someone can try and sell me I'd appreciate it, but how is this guy going to be better than Angelic Destiny most of the time? MAYBE he might be +5/+5 or +6/+6 sometimes? But then if they wrath he's probably gonna be a 1/1 since he only buffs off Auras? Am I missing something here?
Had a one-on-one game against an Edric-style Derevi, Empyrial Tactician deck, which I won quite handily.
He managed to wrath twice, but some early pressure and hand-sculpting from a Kor Spiritdancer kept me prepared. I Sun Titan'd to renew pressure after the first wrath, and after the second (as well as baiting a bit of spot removal), I was ready to go with Commander Eesha and Pariah. The only solution for him then was to dig for more enchantment removal, which he did, but by then I was winning the damage race.
I had a Silent Sentinel in hand in the late game, and I was definitely happy to see him as he would have been out-of-hand even on the first swing (to retrieve a Mammoth Umbra I believe), however I decided not to play him as it wasn't necessary to overextend at that point. Still, I like him. We'll see about the Ghostblade Eidolon, but I think I'd like at least one Bestow creature in this deck, so enchantment tutor can look for a body if need be.
I'm growing very content with this deck. It was always political and fun, but I'm winning games pretty consistently now too.
I guess these are my suggestions, nice deck idea, I like creative different stuff.

Hi there Ashiok, thanks for the interest and suggestions. You've definitely hit in some cards that are in consideration or earlier iterations. I'll address them individually.
Paladin -- Slow, and without ways of recurring or blinking him doesn't cover a lot of bases in a multiplayer game.
Prison -- This was cut from v.1 as tutors can reliably grab Sphere of Safety. I decided to try cutting redundancy for more aggression. This deck had trouble finishing things in v1.
Mom -- I find I have pretty reliable access to protection in the enchantment tribal cards... This deck is tight on creature slots so they need to be efficient threats.
Archon -- A great pillowfort card and a solid threat. I've been eyeing this for a while. Since I can reliably dig for Pariah this may replace Palisade Giant.
Oriss -- Durdly and only deals with damage. Like I said, creatures generally need to be either threats and defences at a moments notice in this deck.
Worship -- I had actually forgotten about this card. It requires a protected creature, which sure, this deck does, but I'm not sure I'd want to be top-decking this when I want a threat. On the other hand, this could steal games. I'll think about this.
Near Death Experience -- Cute with Worship, but mostly a dead card.
Queller -- Hmm. I like this naming artifacts if I'm not established, lands if I am, or creatures with Emeria online. I might try thus guy.
Linvala -- She's great, but a bit pricey. Money isn't a big deal for me but spending money on a bit of a griefer card is a but harder to justify. You bet she's a good suggestion though.
I can't believe I'm running Cartographer but not Sad Robot or White Orchid. Embarrassing. Thanks.
I played Opal-Eye once last session, and took the game. This was one-against-one versus my opponent's Thraximundar deck. I was concerned as I run a lot of anti-aggro cards and this was a spell-slinger deck, but the deck has tricks. Protection from red was pretty back breaking for him as he runs a lot of red sweepers in the deck, and even when he finally found a blue answer for the outfitted, pro-red Voice of All, he didn't realize Opal-Eye can "jump on the grenade" and thus Opal-Eye foiled an important Inferno. Vedalken Orrery and a Flickering Ward were able to answer any spot removal and I was pecking him to death for a solid few damage each turn. When Emeria went online even Thraximundar couldn't help.
Frustratingly I still haven't drawn Spirit of the Labyrinth but I'm still pretty sure she'll be fine here. I haven't seen Spectral Ward yet either but that's only been in for a couple of games; same with Boonweaver Giant but he's just a bigger, slightly better Auratouched Mage.
i revisited my opal-eye lately.some words for it:
my deck always had a problem winning . i have so many "soft locks" including creatures and enchantments-auras. its really funny. i dont run any wipes,.and i do have a aura theme too (duuh)
some cards i use
iv included the Stuffy doll combo, it really fits the deck Planar Portal is one of my favorites cards
so many times i had "locked"/protected myself from harm with or without opal-eyes, but i had nothing to beat/win
it's cause i don't run big beaters like you,do they work nice?they dont seem able to kill a table fast/at all for me : /
I only have Eternal Dragon and Sun Titan as far as i can remember
how is konda in your list? i do have one but he seems useless to try him out
so in the last game i replaced opal-eye with Akroma for a change. i really need a wincon sometimes. Opal eye isnt that needed... i might miss her awesome redirecting ability , but i miss a wincon so much more.
and she did work quite nice.
I, too, have been slowly thinning out the pillow fort redundancy for more threats, and have been getting more wins by doing so. Ideally you have just enough "locks" that you can shut the gates when you need to, and the rest of the deck will be a steady stream of hard-to-deal-with threats.
Tutoring is key here. White has access to both equipment and enchantment tutoring. Consider adding more. If you need a lock to stabilize from aggro, grab something defensive like a Pariah for Commander Eesha or Indestructibility for Opal-Eye. If you are ahead and need to close things out, grab something aggressive like Coronet. Cards like Ghostly Procession are handy: it goes nice on Opal-Eye but can also neuter your opponent's biggest beater.
It's good to have a small handful of finishers, but ideally this deck should be accumulating five damage here and ten damage there, throughout the game. My opponent commented on this after a few games against his Thraximundar deck: it feels like he's dealing with my threats somewhat regularly, but he still found his health was dropping faster than mine was. There are so many explosive plays in EDH that people forget incremental damage is still important. Still, you can up your curve with some fatties here, because playing Opal-Eye on turn 3 gives you a lot of breathing room to get you to those later turns.
I'd consider Ring of Three Wishes over Planar Portal (how often do you activate Portal more than three times in a game?). Heliod's Pilgrim is a nice new, cost-effective Hartebeest. Mythmaker is handy but I find I have enough recursion. Order of Whiteclay will whiff a lot as my curve is pretty high.
Konda is high on the chopping block, but the built-in indestructibility for Pariah means he's not only a beater but handy utility.
Feel free to replace the general for sure, but this deck was partly an exercise in building a functional Opal-Eye deck, and anyway I like the early breathing room he provides, and the synergies he has with the deck.
Very very cool list - came across this in the database because my boyfriend was thinking of building Opal-Eye enchantress as an unusual mono-white political deck for a potential Star "league" we might set up with some friends. I'm currently planning a Voltron EDH and this's given me a couple good considerations there too.
I have some suggestions of cards to use or consider using:
Runed Halo - a less threatening, more political Nevermore for generals and other dangerous cards (Stigma Lasher, Infect stuff, combo pieces). If the other players don't see you as a threat due to your oddball general this is liable to stick around longer. Probably more useful early-game when you don't have a large or indestructible pariah.
Prison Term - potentially worth a try in place of Cage of Hands or Forced Worship because of the additional restriction of activated abilities, but it depends on the prevalence of annoying activateds in your meta.
Mass Calcify and/or Sunscour - interesting alternative boardwipes, Calcify could be used over Winds of Rath if the amount of white in your meta is low. And personally, I just have a huge soft spot for as an emergency boardwipe nobody's expecting - works so nicely with the Orrery. Nobody expects a thing.
Blind Obedience - you mention your deck works very well by surprising your opponents with incremental damage, and I love Extort for that, not to mention the bonus lifegain is great with Well of Lost Dreams and the like. Blind Obedience is just a good overall pillowfort card as well.
Heliod, God of the Sun Surprised you're not running this guy. Being monocolor keeps your devotion high and even without that he poops out enchantment creatures and gives your board vigilance, if he's online he's a big indestructible body to slap Pariah or other nasty stuff on.
Umbral Mantle - Depending on how often you utilize Opal-eye's ability, I could see this being extremely useful since it can also be used to pump them or other tap creatures like your Valkyrie.
Shield of Kaldra, Magebane Armor - More "Can't touch this" gear. The former is obviously more useful but Magebane is an interesting option regardless.
Also a couple utility lands I run in my monowhite pillowfort/lifegain EDH: Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx to make a buttload of white if you need it, Miren, the Moaning Well for lifegain and to rescue creatures that might be exiled or tucked, Winding Canyons for instant speed fun.
And finally a question - Why'd you take out Enlightened Tutor while keeping Steelshaper's Gift?? I think the ability to search out the Orrery, Staff, Well, Mind's Eye, etc would make up for the single lost draw but YMMV.

First of all I'd like to say thanks to everyone who's taken an interest and have made suggestions. Creating a deck that can "turn on a dime," shift stances and go from turtling when appropriate to slugging face has been a challenge, but one I feel I'm meeting with your help. Short of a couple generals, it's easy to see a mono-white deck and keep scrolling. I really appreciate your responses even if I'm sometimes slow to respond... busy work year.
I haven't made any changes because of some silly error message that tells me I can't use "non-latin" characters in my post, but can't for the life of m find any characters that would be causing this. I'll update the OP as soon as this is resolved.
I'll start by responding to recent posts and then I'll discuss recent sets.
Very very cool list - came across this in the database because my boyfriend was thinking of building Opal-Eye enchantress as an unusual mono-white political deck for a potential Star "league" we might set up with some friends. I'm currently planning a Voltron EDH and this's given me a couple good considerations there too.
This is an excellent post Infinipede, thank you. I'll go through your suggestions.
Runed Halo - Both this and Nevermore are excellent cards that are great options in metagames with particular problem cards. At my kitchen table, however, battlecruisers are not actually that common. There's a Rafiq deck, who is a nice Halo target, and sometimes a fattie will sit long enough in Feldon's graveyard that I can name that, but I'm not sure how often this would be a dead card. Furthermore, board wipe is prevalent here and I can't assume that Halo target would have been around long anyway.
Mass Calcify and/or Sunscour - I used to run these in my early days when I was often the only white player, but white is often splashed by my opponents and I don't want to risk my wraths whiffing on Rafiq or Medomai or Narset.
Blind Obedience - I love Blind Obedience and have had it on watch for a long time. However it's often only a vague inconvenience in the absence of haste and I'm just not sure what to cut for it.
Umbral Mantle - This is a cool interaction for sure, but slots are so competitive a cool interaction with a few creatures just doesn't make the cut.
Beloved Chaplain, Soltari Monk, Soltari Priest - These are all on watch for if I begin to feel the need that I need one or two more Eesha-equivalents. On the whole I'm finding that the protection-from-two-colours knights are a better compromise between offense and defense.
I've browsed through this deck before and always thought it to be a unique idea. Have you considered Spectra Ward? That card's amazing if you need protection-style effects to wrap up the game.
I want to like Spectra Ward. I really do. But +2/+2 isn't really adding THAT much extra pressure for five mana, and note that while the second ability stops it shrugging off auras when attached, I still believe it prevents further auras being attached. Five mana that stops further enchantments and doesn't protect from wraths is a hard sell.

An Opal-Eye, Konda's Yojimbo pillow fort / enchantment shenanigans deck, by Hallucigenia
Introduction
This is my attempt at a fun, political, tricky but casual-effective mono-white deck, with Opal-Eye, Konda's Yojimbo at the helm.
This deck combines a pillow fort politics theme with a fun array of enchantment shenanigans with enough voltron-based oomph to finish the game when you need to. This deck is versatile, with a good toolbox, and furthermore robust, seasoning attacks and wraths with ease and maintaining decent card advantage.

This is a great card and I'll find a spot to experiment with it.
Lotus-Eye Mystics. For one extra mana, an Auramancer that synergizes with Flickering Ward. Good card, but probably doesn't make the cut.
Sage's Reverie. A nice boost and will probably draw me two or three cards for four mana. Good deal in white. Definitely experimenting with this.
Monastery Mentor. Cute with Flickering Ward but that's one card in the deck.
---
Dragons of Tarkir Comments.
Myth Realized. A great sword holder that dodges wraths, but obviously can't carry auras unless you're willing to only have the aura for a single swing. I love this card but this isn't quite the deck for it.

Profound Journey. Great in decks like these that are permanent-heavy but diverse in permanent type. Tough to justify for seven mana, though, when cards like Replenish and Sun Titan are just so much better.
---
Changes.
Konda, Lord of Eiganjo to Heliod, God of the Sun. Konda was already on the chopping block for a new indestructible dude.
Well of Lost Dreams to Sage's Reverie. Well was an unreliable method of card advantage in this deck. This will be more reliable for sure.
Sword of Light and Shadow to Citadel Siege. Sword prevents auras, but the life gain with Well of Lost Dreams made it worthwhile. Not any more.
Auratouched Mage to Boonweaver Giant. For one extra mana I like being able to reach into my graveyard.
Kitsune Sage to Solemn Simulacrum. Having Autumn-Tail online is one of my favourite things to do in Magic, but that much contrivance for some board control that still requires mana investment doesn't cut it these days. Goodbye buddy.
ORI in Review; Changes
---
Changes.
Silent Sentinel ---> Starfield of Nyx. Starfield accomplishes most of what Sentinel does two turns earlier.

Any reason you aren't running Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite?
GWB Junk Stax Ghave BWG
Thank you. Expanded on the OP a bit.
Do you have any suggestions for cuts?

Great idea on the land-grab enchantments. The only downside to Endless Horizons versus, say, Armillary Sphere is Sun Titan doesn't grab it back, but I'll probably have better targets anyway. Land Tax might be outside my budget principles, but I'll find out.
Elesh Norn is fab for sure, though she didn't really occur to me as particularly synergistic aside from the Vigilance and the fat bum. Who'd you maybe cut for her?

At this point he had Assemble the Legion and a Paradox Haze. I let him hit me for 3, then 10, and flashed in a Guardian of the Gateless with Vedalken Orrery to eat the third attack. Afterward came a Darksteel Plate. Whew. Still, no Trample to get through his fairies and finish him off. Needed a wrath bad.

In other news, I realized, like any other tron deck, I should be running lands that spit out/permanently turn into creatures ("until end of turn" manlands don't work with auras, of course). Gargoyle Castle and Stalking Stones added. Will keep an eye out for Kjeldoran Outpost.

Included thanks!

Ghostblade Eidolon.

I know that your idea is to protect yourself, but maybe you could consider also some disruptive cards. For instance: World Queller, Voidstone Gargoyle, Linvala, Keeper of Silence and good and old Archon of Justice. For ramping I would suggest Solemn Simulacrum and Knight of the White Orchid.
I guess these are my suggestions, nice deck idea, I like creative different stuff.
Read my other stories as well (some ongoing):
Reaper King (a horror story), Kaalia of the Vast (an origin story), Sequels for Innistrad (Alternative sequels for Inn), Grey Areas (Odric's fanfic), Royal Succession (goblins),The Tracker's Message (eldrazi on Innistrad) and Ugin and his Eye (the end of OGW).
Thanks.

Frustratingly I still haven't drawn Spirit of the Labyrinth but I'm still pretty sure she'll be fine here. I haven't seen Spectral Ward yet either but that's only been in for a couple of games; same with Boonweaver Giant but he's just a bigger, slightly better Auratouched Mage.

i revisited my opal-eye lately.some words for it:
my deck always had a problem winning . i have so many "soft locks" including creatures and enchantments-auras. its really funny. i dont run any wipes,.and i do have a aura theme too (duuh)
some cards i use
iv included the Stuffy doll combo, it really fits the deck
Planar Portal is one of my favorites cards
Totem-Guide Hartebeest and other aura searchers too
Nomad Mythmaker Order of Whiteclay
so many times i had "locked"/protected myself from harm with or without opal-eyes, but i had nothing to beat/win
it's cause i don't run big beaters like you,do they work nice?they dont seem able to kill a table fast/at all for me : /
I only have Eternal Dragon and Sun Titan as far as i can remember
how is konda in your list? i do have one but he seems useless to try him out
so in the last game i replaced opal-eye with Akroma for a change. i really need a wincon sometimes. Opal eye isnt that needed... i might miss her awesome redirecting ability , but i miss a wincon so much more.
and she did work quite nice.
what are you thoughts?

Beloved Chaplain, Soltari Monk, Soltari Priest - possible alternatives to your other low cost protection creatures.

I haven't made any changes because of some silly error message that tells me I can't use "non-latin" characters in my post, but can't for the life of m find any characters that would be causing this. I'll update the OP as soon as this is resolved.
I'll start by responding to recent posts and then I'll discuss recent sets.
Prison Term - I prefer Cage of Hands and Forced Worship for their interactions with Sigil and enchantresses.
Heliod, God of the Sun - Yes, it's about time I tried him. I'll replace him with Konda.
Shield of Kaldra, Magebane Armor - Shield was in there originally, but I've cut redundancy, in this case with Darksteel Plate, with tutors.
Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx, Miren, the Moaning Well, Winding Canyons -- Great suggestions, thank you.
Finally, Enlightened is back in as I've since bought another.

Dragons of Tarkir Comments.
Myth Realized. A great sword holder that dodges wraths, but obviously can't carry auras unless you're willing to only have the aura for a single swing. I love this card but this isn't quite the deck for it.
