One question though. If I give persist to something with 1 toughness, say Eternal Witness, does it stay on the field long enough for me to get its ETB effect? or does it die in some weird state based effect way that doesn't let it.
On the same note, would I be able to return said Witness with it's own ability this way? If I need to post these in the rules thread instead, just let me know.
Yes, and yes.
1) The ETB ability only cares if it enters the battlefield, it cares not of the duration. Since it has to enter the Battlefield to Die from having 0 toughness, it does come into play, and does trigger (Riku triggers as well, FYI). Before the trigger is put on the stack, SBE are checked and the E.Witt is placed into the GY. (now we go to 2)
2) Triggers are placed onto the stack the next time a player would get priority. SBE's are checked first. The Witness is put into the GY, then the trigger is put on the stack and you must choose targets. The witness is already in the GY at this time and can be targeted.
I still cant shake the feeling that Bramblecrush should be swapped to be Acidic Slime. I would always pay one more mana to get a deathtoutch creature out of the deal. While the slime cannot hit planeswalkers it can hit artifact creatures which is nice to have.

I think you may be right. I wanted to add in the Slime in addition to Bramblecrush, but if anything, I should probably just make the swap now and see if I still want the bramblethingy.
Emmara is like the worst parts of Legends and Homelands got pregnant, aborted the fetus, tossed it in the trashcan, set it on fire and wrapped the corpse in a Dragon's Maze pack wrapper.
I also far prefer the slime, I attribute it closer to into the core and such spells, as I treat the 2/2 deathtoucher as another removal when tallying up the cards. The Slime has an excellent capability to 2for1.
When it come to running answers to annoying permanents, I think both are worthy of slots in the deck. I am running the Slime, Stomphowler, B.Crush, Beastly inside, Decimate, and Into the Core!! I am having trouble finding a spot for Pongify however. And the idea of adding Snakeform for it's card draw is becoming more and more tempting, especially when copied with Riku or some other such shenaniganery.
Yo!! On the lines of copying your copy dawg, don't forget Wild Ricochet, it is the king of beer's, er I mean copy spells... You can't Scepter it, but it's still really good. I took four turn's of another players Time Stretch just the other day.

Into the Core is actually an interesting idea. If anything, I'll add it to the watchlist along with the other artifact murderers.
Pongify is really good. You just sit back and act innocent, tell the guy with the fat dude not to attack you or he'll pay for it, then transmute dudes that try to hit you into apes! Such fun!
Snakeform actually does sound really funny. The thought of a Woodfall Primus attacking me, then turning into a Snake and having Riku himself step on said treefolk snake is such a glorious thought.

Hm. After checking your list again, the comment about snakeform made me realize you are missing an instant include for this deck in Manamorphose. Not only is it 100% free in that it returns your mana and card investment, copying it is a free card. Literally, free.
It can also be put onto isochron scepter for absolute disgustingness. The scepter will morph in front of your eyes into an artifact that says t: draw two cards.(reminder: you are sexy!)
There is literally zero reason to not include this card.
@ISBPathfinder: I love Radiate. It's probably one of my favourite cards to resolve. I am deeply concerned for my mental health for not having thought of this card earlier. I will add it to the Watchlist ASAP and then think of something to make the switch.
@bobthefunny: Manamorphose is pretty sweet. It's a nice little cantrip that potentially allows me to play the cards I draw with the mana generation! Sweetsauce. This is the kind of stuff I love.
Great suggestions both!
EDIT: Added a "The More Honest Gameplan" to the OP that will likely be modified in the future. Cards also added to the watchlist.

Love how this has been coming together. Normally I would have been all NUH UH on the slime because he's a non-essential creature that has nothing to do with slinging spells... but the deathtouch makes you much harder to attack and if Wall of Blossoms is good enough for me then he should be too.
I haven't constructed my build yet but I almost have all the cards (snapcasters are on the way), so you can be bet I'll be tinkering with that later. I'm built heavier on Isochron Scepter abuse right now (OMG MANAMORPHOSE nice find bob) and I can't wait to actually play with the card.

It's a fun one thats been popping up on the Rulings forums with Heartless Summoning and Corpse Cur. Seemed to be 2-3 a day for a week, so I got drilled in pretty well. I actually have only moderately kept up with the rules since M11 until recently, so while I was confident about 99% of rulings since then, these last few weeks on the rulings forums have been rather helpful.
On a different note, when building a creature based Riku, its very easy to find redundant Riku abilities in minion reflector and so on. It should theoretically be easier to find spell copy cards, like Mirari, but I have found it to be tricky at times.
The latest one I have found is Cloven Casting which I'd like to give a try to. It's harder to build around though, when you discover there are few multicolor spells worth running. Anyone have any good Ideas for a riku Deck along these lines?
Here's a list of the cantrips I've found: cantrips
And a more in depth search: search
Another idea I had is pulling from my T&L deck, of a lot of small cheap cantrip spells, using Isochron scepter and izzet guildmage a lot.
@SuperSonik: Haha the plugs are generous because they're deserving. You put a lot of work into your primer too and you should definitely try out this deck. It is so fun.

Mirari fixes the issue as it is cheaper to cast out and works with all spells. Sadly it takes a bit more to copy things.
Also... I have been getting worse and worse results out of Mimic Vat of late so I could see that going especially considering how creature light your list is you are really depending on a good agro ETB opponent in my opinion to make it good. If you are up against a bunch of control opponents it sucks and if you are up against a bunch of green opponents it is likely they might just crush it.

That's probably true. I like Mimic Vat because it allows me to create blockers on the fly in addition to getting ETBs. Also, their creature gets exiled if they blow it up and I like that too. Interestingly, I think it's better in a noncreature list but I can see it being cut for one of those.
I'm just going to browse through my physical list for a bit and see what I wouldn't mind cutting for the few things I need to add.

Alright, so, I'm not usually a fan of Ancestral Vision (I find it really painstakingly slow) but couldn't it be delicious in this deck? I'm surprised we've never mentioned it yet, considering we could potentially draw 6 (!) cards off it.
Emmara is like the worst parts of Legends and Homelands got pregnant, aborted the fetus, tossed it in the trashcan, set it on fire and wrapped the corpse in a Dragon's Maze pack wrapper.
Sadly.... its just tooo damn slow. If you draw it outside of the first like 5 turns of a game it just crawls. I can remember drawing it on like turn 12 of a game and it was like missing my draw... It really can hurt a lot to draw later on.
I really wouldn't advise using the card as it is just too unpredictable in a 100 card highlander format. It is one of those cards that I just don't even try to run anymore.

Nice list!
How has Chandra been for you? I've been curious about using her but I'm not sure I have the necessary protection for her.
Oooh and what about Make a Wish? That card's been on my watchlist for a while and I'd like to hear your experiences with that too.
There's also Uyo and Jhoira I see there in your list. Have those been good to you? They seem too fragile to me.
By a little more umph, do you mean more finishing power? I can somewhat relate, even though I usually win by stealing some dudes fat creature or by stealing all creatures or by eternally dominating someone (haha), there have been times where I couldn't quite finish vulnerable people off.

She usually goes of twice, then is killed. She is on my cards to cut list, but copying big spells like E. Dom. make me keep her in. Mostly I love to copy my ramp spells with her.

Jhoira, again is a situational card. But with a powerful ability to suspend the E Dom while I acquire the means to copy the crap out of it, I find it hard to pull her. She will most likely go once my foil Djinn Illuminatus arrives in the mail. Uyo is a late game superstar, as long as my early game was full of ramp. I am going to be adding Azusa as well as Mana Reflection to the list to try.

The best I have ever done with a Mimic Vat was strapping Reveillark to it with Sakura-Tribe Elder and Saffi Eriksdotter in my graveyard. It was a lot of fun ramping every turn as lark triggers off of leaving play so he still worked with the vat. It stuck for like 2 turns I think.

First off: Make a Wish is boss. Plain. Simple. Brilliant. In an optimized list even getting a fetchland back to thin out your deck is worth it. I Harmonized, copied it with Riku, then brought it and Manamorphose back with M.A.W. and did it again. I actually copied Harmonize many times list night. I also Twincasted E. Dom. copied both against a Kaalia player last night fetching Brittney Spears, Iona, Akroma, and the Innisitrad angel that is hexproof and Indy as long as you control a human (Riku)!! He ended up winning with a HUGE firebreather Dragon Tyrant, but still I'm impressed.
I run the Mimic Vat in my Karador deck and I have a Archon of Justice underneath it at one point, that too did not last long!! hehe
So here's a question for you guys: I am having my Riku altered. I have a few ideas for it, they are:
1 Rob and Fab from Milli Vanilli
2. Mary-Kate and Ashley
3. Man-e-Faces From MoTU
4. Two Face from Batman

So you're suggesting:
Ponder --> Metamorphose
Wild Ricochet --> Radiate
I'm going to have to think about these changes. I might do the ponder one but I don't know, I like the Ricochet a lot.
@bobthefunny: Cloven Casting is interesting but very expensive. I wish it was not only multicolour spells, that would make it so sweet. If you want to run it, here are a few spells I think would benefit from it:
Aether Mutation could be cute.
Artifact Mutation
Decimate would be chaotic.
Frenzied Tilling
Hull Breach
Temporal Spring can be a cruel one.
Electrolyze
Prophetic Bolt
Mirari fixes the issue as it is cheaper to cast out and works with all spells. Sadly it takes a bit more to copy things.
