Soooo I really like the Blood Frenzy suggestion and think I'm going to go with the following changes.
- Decimate (I've always been a fan of this card, but getting all the right targets with it copied is going to be nigh impossible.)
- Tooth and Nail (I'd actually like some thoughts on this one but I'm not too much looking to tutor out fat dudes. This is Spellslinger Riku after all.)
+ Blood Frenzy (seems like sweet instant speed removal. One of the best hidden gems.)
+ Wall of Blossoms (Cantrips are always nice and this one protects us when our pants are down too! Good suggestion, Pathfinder!)
This drastically lowers our curve too, which is a good thing.

This is the direction that I have been wanting to take my Riku deck. I LOVE the Eternal Dominion idea, I do have a question about it though. You copy it only the one time, upon it's initial casting, not on the "Epic" copies, right??
I think running solutions is better than running hoards of creatures that can copy your spells. Djinn Illuminatus is ****ing awesome in my build. Yo Dawg, I heard you like ramping your ramp, so I put an additional copy of your ramp so you can ramp. The Flectomancer is a great little critter, but I agree that he might be a little too much for this deck. I cut Twincast and Reverberate from my list fairly early on. I wanted spells to copy with Riku, not spells to copy spells...
Thanks for the ideas/answers.

I'm just going to leave this first attempt at a list here. It is in the very early stages of development since I just cut to 100 a few hours ago. There are 12+ isochron scepter targets and many more spells than non-land permanents. I think I left out some really important things and I'll have to check what I tried to get too cute on in order to proceed.
"Spellslinger" build (trademarked by Drama Turtle ;))
Twincast could definitely go but I am greedy and I want it for Isochron Scepter. Reiterate is better too because it combos with Mana Geyser pretty easily for infinite :symr:.
Sooooo..... I see a whole 1 tutor currently in the list which is Worldly Tutor...
What is the plan if Riku get tucked???? It seems like you could use a few more tutors to defend yourself from that.
Primal Command makes 2. I considered Green Sun's Zenith as well but unless I make room for Seedborn Muse (which I very well might, given the high number of instants in the deck), I'm not as that satisfied with the number of targets. Besides, Mirari and Cast Through Time are basically redundant copies of Riku.
Glad you like the deck, Rhapsody. If you've got some secret tech that you can share from your list, that'd be great.
Nice list, SuperSonik. You're the bigger man by not playing Primetime and Conman Sphinx while reinforcing the theme instead. I'm going to do a quick rundown of choices I find interesting:
Mana Geyser seems beastly. I should probably try that out. The fact that it can go infinite with Reiterate is sweetsauce.
I'm surprised I didn't think of trying out Reins of Power. It seems quite good here.
Grab the Reins is also really good, though mana-intensive and is probably worth a look.
Your sweepers are quite good as well but I especially like Evacuation for its instant speed goodness.
I'm a little fearful of Cryptic Command's mana cost but that's probably stupid so I'll think about adding that one in.
Stroke of Genius... handn't considered it. But with all the ramp it is probably quite good and more card draw is always nice.
Runechanter's Pike is cute, but when you want to adhere to spellslinging theme, I don't think it can make the cut. I mean, you don't want many creatures but you're still fitting this in? I love how on-theme it is though. It just doesn't look great on paper.
On Riku getting tucked - Honestly, it's not the end of the world if he gets tucked. We have a relatively high number of substitutes that could still copy our spells and the deck certainly does not need Riku to win. I also had Green Sun's Zenith in an earlier iteration but I'm not sure it's an important enough issue that it should merit too much attention.
Emmara is like the worst parts of Legends and Homelands got pregnant, aborted the fetus, tossed it in the trashcan, set it on fire and wrapped the corpse in a Dragon's Maze pack wrapper.
Have you considered Berserk as well? works nicely by itself, copied and on scepter can possible get a 4 for 1 if you copy it boosting two of your opponents blocked creatures then they die.
Oh I missed the part where it says play before combat step.. that makes it loose a lot of oomph :/
EDIT2: oh boseiju is an obvious addition if it isnt already there
So I have been playtesting this deck and have realized something.. THIS THING NEEDS DRAW! I usually empty my hand too quickly since your spells dont have a board presence they hit the grave you have no defenders you eventually run out of cards to play. I have recurring insight now, but I think minds eye might be good, or mystic remora.. or dare I say it.. the sphinx.. this really just needs the draw!
By the way you have Capsize in your sorcery list... might want to move that over. I am thinking of doing a riku caster deck of my own. I think my spin will be a bit different but I am looking forward to seeing if I will finally go through with a deck lol. I have came up with like 6 decklists since creating a deck last. Somehow or another after I make a list I always seem to give up on it before making it.

I have officially moved to MTGNexus. I just wanted to let people know as my response time to salvation decks being bumped is very hit or miss.
Haha. I definitely do the same. I have around 20 decks that I've made but never actually put together.
I made this deck because it felt appropriate to such an aggro-control player like myself to experiment with a more spell-based approach and I've got to say that the result is more than satisfactory. The deck is very fun to play and the colours lend themselves to powerful spells and shenanigans.
And thanks for catching the error, I'll definitely get on that. I'll probably update the list soon.
@xbinox: I'm definitely looking at getting in more draw. That's probably what I'll and address when I update the list. What are your opinions on Brainstorm and the like? With the option of copying them, they could be very beneficial to the list.
I've been thinking about this for Riku as well, makes for a pretty large creature. With Djinn Illuminatus odds of someone dying seem high.
Ok I think it is official I have to build a version of this deck. I find it hard to win with too many spells but this deck is like designed to do it.
Thoughts on Reiterate and or other copy effects? Possibly Wild Ricochet? I like how they would give us more things to do at instant speed mainly. (sry u have them in the list already)
EDIT: also I notice you lack Mana Geyser on your list.
EDIT 2: another thing... shouldnt you change Bramblecrush -> Acidic Slime as they are both sorcery speed and for one more mana you get a 2/2 deathtoucher? I guess the downside is that the Slime cannot hit planeswalkers but it can hit artifact creatures so that is something. Thoughts on that?
EDIT 3: Also I think Preordain could all be great card draw outlets for the deck. It is dirt cheap to cast and it can dig really quite well especially when copied.
EDIT 5: This deck would be perfect for Torpor Orb as well. There are so many ETB creatures in EDH and I think this would make for a great deck to run it as we have a low creature curve.
EDIT 6: do you think it would be worth running Trinket Mage for just the Top + Sol Ring or no???
EDIT 7: I know I have been buisy checking your list over quite a bit. A few cards that I dont know how much I like in the list are:
Devil's Play I dont like how it is sorcery speed x damage and cant hit multiple targets. I guess it is nice how it has flashback though but meh otherwise. What do you think of like Rolling Thunder instead? I like how it can take out a bunch of utility creatures or a token army in one shot.
Stunted Growth the more I think about it the less I think we need this. Screwing opponents over just makes enemies I think we can control the board and just dig for answers. These cards were used more in like a Wort the Raidmother deck as Red / Green alone deosnt have nearly the options we have with blue added in.
Plow Under same issue with Stunted Growth. It really really screws with someone but it makes enemies and doesnt impact the other players. It is usually better to be proactive than to just screw with people.
Ancient Grudge ehhhh not that impressive sure it can hit a few targets but it is artifact only. I dont know.... I guess it just isnt as impressive as I had hoped.
Arcane Denial counterspells are hard to copy. If we can target what has already come into play more we can pick up more targets. It just seems like it lacks synergy with the rest of the deck.
Noxious Revival card disadvantage to regrowth??? ehhhh I dont know if I like it enough to take card disadvantage for it. In my mind you are better off just drawing more cards.
Intuition there arent that many cards I feel like we really need to try to dig up. I suppose the EPIC spell is the only thing I would want to spend the time to go get with this. Other than that I feel it is sort of a waste of time in the deck. Drawing cards would be more effective in most cases with our current setup.
Spell Crumple again same problem with Arcane Denial.... counterspells are going to be a problem due to the fact we cannot gain the extra value off of them. I can understand running them for several reasons but we dont have much of a way to abuse them.
Worldly Tutor honestly I think I like Chord of Calling more than this spell. The fact that it is instant speed and we will likely only be paying 1-2 mana more than the cost seems worth it. Plus we can copy the spell and copy the creatures. We cant really copy Worldly Tutor as it will just shuffle away the first target.
Sorry I am not trying to nitpick or anything but these are some things I thought should be discussed and get some feedback on. Especially if I go ahead with a list similar to it.
No nitpicking going on here, those are all valid suggestions. So let's see here...
Mana Geyser is in the Watchlist as of now. I am definitely considering it.
I'm thinking of adding Preordain, Brainstorm and Ponder to the list. They facilitate everything this deck wants and are cheap so easily copied.
I actually thought of Torpor Orb just today. Normally I don't like to run such reactive cards but it certainly might be worth a shot.
Still on the fence about Mirari. SuperSonik has it in his list and it is a great card. I'm just not sure I need it yet. I may consider it though.
I thought about removing Trinket Mage and might in fact take him out for one of the U cantrip spells. I think that might be a good switch.
I wanted to test Devil's Play but you're probably right. It is a great card but there is so much potential power in this deck that it probably won't make the cut.
Stunted Growth and Plow Under. Yep, I'm a huge fan of these tempo-murderers in 1v1 but here, they draw unwelcome hate and don't affect the board.
I like the fact that you can copy Noxious Revival for UR and get 2 cards back. But that's about it. I'll take a look at that slot.
The counterspells are not very synergetic with the deck, it's true. I might make room for them because there is a heap of powerspells that I would like to fit in here.
Probably right about Worldly Tutor. I'll probably make the switch.
What I like about Ancient Grudge is that people often forget about its flashback. It's so techie. It is a small spell though, I'll see if I can do better.
Keep the suggestions coming, and perhaps check the Watchlist. What do you think of some of the cards in there?
I'm definitely going to update soon so stay tuned.
EDIT: Berserk does sound good, on second thought. I might try that out. Thanks Donald and xbinox.
Emmara is like the worst parts of Legends and Homelands got pregnant, aborted the fetus, tossed it in the trashcan, set it on fire and wrapped the corpse in a Dragon's Maze pack wrapper.
I can see the deck running more smoothly with these changes. Comments would be appreciated.
EDIT: So apparently I had already cut Trinket Mage out earlier. So instead I will take out Prophetic Bolt. I like the card but it's expensive for what it does.
Emmara is like the worst parts of Legends and Homelands got pregnant, aborted the fetus, tossed it in the trashcan, set it on fire and wrapped the corpse in a Dragon's Maze pack wrapper.
I LOVE the Eternal Dominion idea, I do have a question about it though. You copy it only the one time, upon it's initial casting, not on the "Epic" copies, right??
The Delayed Trigger caused by Epic puts a copy of the spell on the stack, so Riku will not tigger as you are not 'playing' the spell.
HOWEVER, copying the original spell sets up extra Epic triggers which will each go off every upkeep. So if you cast Eternal Dominion, copy it with Riku, Fork it, and copy the fork with Riku, you will have 4 Epic triggers each upkeep for the rest of the game. If you pull out creatures with them, Riku can copy those, as that ability triggers on ETB and not on 'playing' it.
It seems you don't have enough ways to win the game. Is that ever a problem?
I understand your concern, and at first, the thought occurred to me too. The simple answer is no, this is not a problem.
The deck mostly wins through wars of attrition; by playing and copying spells over and over until your opponents are just so far behind/dead by your incessant spellslinging. You really have to play the deck to see.
I also cannot preach Holistic Wisdom enough. It turns ramp into late game stability, and just plain awesomeness.
I'm not sure I need another infinite with the Geyser at this time. The cards you mentioned aren't much good outside the combo.
Holistic Wisdom is a good suggestion though. I don't have much experience with the card but it may prove interesting.
That reminds me, what do you guys think of Nostalgic Dreams? I don't like going overboard on recursion but I'd certainly like opinions on the two cards.
Emmara is like the worst parts of Legends and Homelands got pregnant, aborted the fetus, tossed it in the trashcan, set it on fire and wrapped the corpse in a Dragon's Maze pack wrapper.
Just a thought everyone. Copying is fun, and for more Isochron Scepter focused speed builds, Izzet Guildmage might be an interesting addtion to make the cantrips dig deeper, or the ramp... well... ramp more.
Just a thought. Loving the thread Definately giving me "Bad" thoughts for my combo build.

Holistic Wisdom is a good suggestion though. I don't have much experience with the card but it may prove interesting.
That reminds me, what do you guys think of Nostalgic Dreams? I don't like going overboard on recursion but I'd certainly like opinions on the two cards.
Even without the combo, I would put Early Harvest miles ahead in power over the geyser. The Geyser is heavily dependant on your opponents to provide mana for you, which makes it situational and unpredictable, and only provides red mana. Harvest untaps all your lands, and since you're playing Riku, you'll have lots already. It's also cheaper, and since you're heavy instant based, you can use it as a surprise on your opponents turn. It is an exceedingly powerful card that just gets abusive in Riku. Also, making it an instant means you'll be able to recur it with Holistic Wisdom.
Since I'm the one that suggested Holistic Wisdom I can't add much more support over my initial recomendation, but let me say that I have never been sorry to see this card. It's almost the only card in all of magic that I can actually say that for. That said, it can be a bit risky against targeted GY hate.
Nostalgic Dreams, Card advantage -1 for insane recursion and hand sculpting? Any deck that can run a decent amount of draw can use this card effectively. Riku, who can copy it, simply makes it abusive. Keep in mind the discard is a cost. That means that when Riku's trigger goes on the stack, all the cards you discarded are already in the yard, and viable targets for the copy. Let me re-write that spell for you: GGGU: Double your hand size, with only stuff you actually want.
I won't really defend Mischievous Quanar, I hardly think that you need any more copy effects and he's rather expensive, and you can't double him. He is reiterate #2 though, and being able to split the cost of flip up/flip down across a couple turns can help. Your list looks tight enough as is though, I was just giving extra options if you did want to go into that infinite loop.
EDIT: addendum for Early Harvest. I run a lot of basics in my Riku, obviously it is weaker the more expensive you make your mana base.
I can definitely second Holistic Wisdom. Card is ridiculous when you have your mana built up. Also a big fan of Early Harvest if you have enough basics.
And I can definitely second Nostalgic Dreams. My Riku runs along the same lines as yours, and Dreams is good on its own, and disgusting with Riku on the field. Bob pretty much nailed it.

I'm definitely going to update soon so stay tuned.
EDIT: Berserk does sound good, on second thought. I might try that out. Thanks Donald and xbinox.
- Devil's Play. It's a good card but there are just so many power cards we want to play in this deck.
- Trinket Mage. We have 2 targets and while I would like to have them, I don't need them that much. Plus he's not a spell.
- Noxious Revival. Though I really like this card, it is card disadvantage and we don't need that.
- Acquire. I had no idea this was still in the list. Unneeded. Bribery is better.
- Hinder, Spell Crumple, Arcane Denial. Counterspells. Meh. This deck likes being proactive.
+ Past in Flames. Should have been in the deck from the beginning.
+ Mana Geyser. Humongous mana fun and infinite with Reiterate.
+ Reins of Power. Mini-Insurrection. Been meaning to fit this in.
+ Evacuation always fun when the board is flooded. Instant-speed makes this very strong.
+Brainstorm, Ponder, Preordain. Cantrips are fun. Plus digging power. Copying them, even more fun.
I can see the deck running more smoothly with these changes. Comments would be appreciated.
EDIT: So apparently I had already cut Trinket Mage out earlier. So instead I will take out Prophetic Bolt. I like the card but it's expensive for what it does.

Assume Nothing."
You may also want to look into Early Harvest. Mischievous Quanar also gives another repeatable copy effect to go infinite on it. Rude Awakening Works as well, and to a lesser extent Woodland Guidance.
I also cannot preach Holistic Wisdom enough. It turns ramp into late game stability, and just plain awesomeness.

Also, Eternal Dominion is a great wincon :D.
Nevertheless, that being said, I'm always open to hear suggestions, be they wincons or not.
Just a thought. Loving the thread Definately giving me "Bad" thoughts for my combo build.

Let me re-write that spell for you:
GGGU: Double your hand size, with only stuff you actually want.
