I have tested a while and I have two problems: Fliers and Control magic (until I find boots)
Also some cards I dont like and are going out soon, need replacements:
Jade Mage: was here because hibernation, but is a useless creature Magus os the Vineyard: was here because hibernation too and some early ramp, but most of the time has backfired Viridian Emissary: I dont need to block in early turns and it is not blocked also as 2 life is not much in commander, should I get a Sakura tribe Elder? Heartbeat of Spring: I love mana doublers but this backfires too much! Hibernation: It does not become really useful until it has 3 or 4 counters Triumph of ferocity: havent draw a card with this yet. When I play in early game my oponents play a bigger creature and in later in game is redundand, probably get an harmonize
About mana base: I choose to keep only basics because vernal bloom, I used to run a couple of non basic but it wasnt worth it imo
NOTES: I play this on mtgo, also is a budget decks, so please make suggestion acording to this
Honestly, the chances of that are slim. However, if it did happen as you describe, I'd probably get either Ant Queen if I want to attack, or Hornet Queen if I want to defend. With 20 land, Ant Queen can spit out 10 1/1's each turn. And Hornet Queen is one card that puts 5 flying deathtouch creatures into play. Both should give you a few turns to rebuild your hand, unless your opponent's board presence is already FAR more established than yours (which, outside of a dedicated token deck, is unlikely).
Not to mention, Omnath himself is pretty damn threatening with 20 lands in play.
Again though, what you've described has never really happened unless there have been a LOT of wraths getting thrown around. But by the time I've got 20 land, I've got something like Avenger of Zendikar or Wolfbriar Elemental giving me a ton of tokens. Then I can tutor for Regal Force and jam it into play, drawing a whole bunch of cards.
It's not always gonna be perfect. However, you can't worry too much about corner cases. Gotta focus on the gameplan.
Yes, that is a slim chance. But I think your strategy to get ant queen is very good. Blocker or attacker is very good if I don't have anything (beside omnath) in my battlefield.
Your deck have many artifact and creature with double mana, so it is no problem to make huge green mana. This is I like about green mono deck. But, when your omnath is shuffle into your deck (because spell crumple and hinder), what will you do?
Well, there are 8 tutors in the deck that can find Omnath, so you'll probably eventually settle on one of them, along with a boatload of draw.
Losing Omnath to a tuck early game will hurt. There's simply no way around that. I do have a list of cards though, in the original post, that you can throw in if you're facing a counter-heavy metagame.
The longer the game goes on, however, the less you'll need Omnath to win. Let's be honest, he is essentially a mana battery. There comes a time though, when you've got 3 mana doublers in play, that you really don't need a battery anymore. Granted, he hits like a truck at any point in the game, but if swarm is what you need to win instead of one gigantic beatstick, he's not really essential.
I don't think there are enough creatures in this deck to really make proper use of the new Garruk. While the ability to filter through the library is nice, as well as to throw a creature into play without paying its mana cost, there are too many great non-creature spells that I'd also want to get, and if I filter with Garruk, they get turfed to the bottom of the library.
New Garruk would probably be more suited to some sort of Vorinclex build. Can you build mono-green Vorinclex stax? If that's a thing, this would fit there.
New Garruk is bad compared to Primal Hunter, and his ability to + to make 3/3 and - to draw a lot. Also Wildspeaker can push us for game or ramp us... so yeah.
Lotus Cobra is more a personal thing. I abused the hell out of that card when it was Standard legal (I once created a janky deck when he was in Standard that, if you god-handed, could hard-cast Emrakul on turn 3 XD), so people in my local meta already know that, when good ole' Poverty Snake comes down, trouble soon follows. As such, he tends to die a lot.
One thing I realize if I put Tempt with Discovery in is that I'll also have to make a spot for Petrified Field, reason being that if I don't, it could play out as such...
Everything I know about building and running Azusa are things that I've read on this forum. The information I'd be proving is completely second hand. I've neither built it nor played against it. If you want an answer from someone who's qualified to give it, I'd recommend making a thread about it in the general Commander section. All I can really say is that Omnath is both quite strong and consistent.
Just wanted to post saying I used your primer to make an Omnath deck that I absolutely love. Thanks for taking the time to put it together and keeping it up to date. Your work has made me have some amazing games these last couple weeks.
Cool primer, I've been looking for a commander for each mono-color and you may have me in the Omnath camp.
I didn't read through the thread so forgive me if this has already been brought up, but you might consider adding an addendum to the "Anti-Flyers" section for Hurricane card effects. The fact that Hurricane and its kin deal damage to all players too means that it can easily be a table-killer with Omnath mana.
While that's very true, I trust people enough to read the cards that they're putting into their decks, especially since I've listed a variety of options, and to make their own decisions. And if they don't... well, they'll learn a valuable lesson.
-1 Tranquil Thicket

I would make some other changes as well., but from what you listed that's what I would change.

In went Sylvan Primordial. I also threw in Green Sun's Zenith. Out came Defense of the Heart and Pattern of Rebirth.
The deck is now fully foiled, except for cards where a foil doesn't exist.

I didn't make a note of it, but I recently took out Fauna Shaman and Planar Portal in favor of Scapeshift and Ring of Three Wishes. I'm currently mulling over the prospect of taking out Scapeshift in favor of Tempt with Discovery.

The green tempt looks pretty OK but I despise their design and won't be playing with them, but I'd be interested to hear you're results.
