He's one of my only pet cards that I just try to cram into places that don't want him. That's definitely one of those "wtf?" cards and it's become a joke in my group to kill my walking atlas BUT YOU DO THAT, YOU DIE!
I was using Terrain Generator when this was a mono-White deck and I never really liked how much mana I had to invest into it; it's maybe more for the control end of things. Zoetic Cavern was okay, though - sort of like a colourless Sakura-Tribe Elder. I might have one of those somewhere.
I found a Gift of Estates in my collection the other day. How do you think that would work here as another Mistveil tutor? (I have no Tithe, so I'm running it anyway.)
It could serve as a substitute for either Tithe or Land Tax, which isn't going to be triggering more than once or twice each game under normal circumstances anyway. I probably skipped over it because of it not being an instant.
Waaay to expensive to continually equip and detach. You have to tap the creature, so you can't get in extra damage after an attack. It's also not commander damage and Jor Kadeen has native first strike anyway. Soul's Fire is the card you want for a large chunk of burn - half the cost, fetchable by Sunforger, doesn't eat an attack step.
This creature deals damage equal to its power to target player.
Also, it would take more interactions and the same mana to recast Soul's Fire. Plus, you'd miss out on four damage when Sunforger un-equips. So yes, you miss out on combat if you do interact on first-main, but you'd generally utilize the burn on your opponent's EOT.

Because commander damage has to be combat damage. From the official website:

10. If a player has been dealt 21 points of combat damage by a particular Commander during the game, that player loses a game.

This assumes that Soul's Fire would be need to cast more than once, which in most of the cases where I've wanted a burn spell, more than once would have been overkill. Also don't see how you'd miss out on the buff from Sunforger, since obviously you'd hit someone first and then detatch it to search.
But anyway, direct burn is covered by Boros Charm (4 is enough damage to kill most planeswalkers, which is the biggest reason I want burn), and Final Fortune covers extra damage pretty well. Surestrike Trident is a slow grindy card for some general that doesn't tap (Akroma, Konda) or that stays out of the red zone (Brigid, Kemba?). If it didn't require a tap to toss the trident I might consider it, but losing an attack step and thus losing Sword triggers/general damage, it's nort worth it.
I realize it's probably slower than you're wanting (and not usable with Sunforger like Midnight Haunting), but Spectral Procession is another interesting white token generator. I think it's only advantages are: A) it's never a dead draw when it comes to color B) It's potentially white creatures for colorless mana.
Just an interesting card I came across, and was thinking of running it in my own JK build.
It's totally valid for a token-based build - 9 power, flying, for WWW is a pretty good deal - but other creatures in this deck are mostly chump-blockers and buffers against edicts, so I wouldn't have much use for it.
WUBRG Some of these decks can actually win games...WUBRG
How I know I should build a deck:
Erebos B | Ghost Council WB | Grimgrin UB | Jhoira UR
Jor Kadeen RW | Melek UR | Mimeoplasm GUB | Rasputin WU
Savra BG | Sisay GW | Teneb BGW | Thada Adel U | Wort BR
I draft and play EDH. If a Standard player can't understand who a card is for, it's probably for me.
I also write things about good films.

It's an easy mistake to make. I was guilty of it awhile back as well :p.
