Quick question: How do Rings of Brighthearth and Basalt Monolith combo together? Rings clearly states non-mana ability, which is what Monolith's ability is. Otherwise, interesting take on Sharuum.

use 2 from somewhere else to pay for rings
once it untaps the first time, you tap it again with the original untap ability on the stack
then you have 3 floating with the monolith untapped, so it starts paying for the rings ability +1 mana, as many times as you want.
Looking over the list, you can realistically take out most of your draw spells; specifically Braingeyser, Brainstorm, Read the Ruins, Stroke of Genius, Standstill, and Thirst for Knowledge, and replace them with Rhystic Study and Consecrated Sphinx. Then I would add Disciple of the Vault, Bitter Ordeal, and Sculpting Steel for that combo and another counterspell of some sort.
Yes, Armaggedon is for taking a aggro deck out of the game after a Wrath effect. If I have good position, I'd Armaggedon with my mana rocks remaining. Hopefully more than them.
Blasting Station is for an infinite combo, figure it out.
She's a slot filler honestly, I have no idea what to add in that slot. She will be replaced soon once I get something better, maybe another tutor eh? Maybe.
How can you say I don't need Stoneforge Mystic when your deck is running some questionable cards? She's been useful every time I've gotten her.
Really, Inkwell Leviathan and Kuldotha Forgemaster? Sharuum decks get enough hate, so why are you making it easier to them to hate you out with repeatable artifact destruction?

I was wondering what's up with your list. I can't make my list tournament level competitive yet, I need to wait until other people do. I try not to depend on Artifacts in Sharuum, they are the first to do if anyone gets to choose.
Lightning Greaves is good even in a deck with 9 creature, putting someone at 10, then attacking for 5 seems good. Even protecting Bob is important as well, probably more important.
Sharuum the Hegemon + Blasting Station: Infinite damage. Since her ability goes on the stack, you can response by sacrificing her Blasting Station, her ability states return target artifact from the graveyard to play, that includes herself as well. Return Sharuum to play, triggers Blasting Station, sacrifice her, rinse and repeat as many times as you would like.
I'm really sorry to break this to you but this combo doesn't work. Abilities need targets as soon as they go on the stack. Once Sharuum hits play, her ability goes on the stack and needs a target before you can respond with Blasting Station.
Why does Sharuum + Sculpting Steel work, then? Because the legend rule kills as a state-based action, meaning Sharuum hits the yard before her ability ever goes on the stack, making her a legal target for herself.
Trust me, I so wish this combo worked so I could have another way to insta-win in my Sharuum deck. But it does not work.
I know, I looked up the ruling today. Thanks for telling me though, I replaced it with Bitter Ordeal, I didn't think I'd like it, but it won me 2/6 games today.

It would work if you Flashed her into play. Probably not worth it though.

It works well, most the time it ends up 2v1 or 3v1. The 20 tutors/draw spells help out a lot. You'll always have Armageddon and extra Stax/Lock out pieces in your hand.
I often find myself with no hand against opposing Stax or Lando destruction decks. In a normal, you'll have to win with 2/2 because Sharuum will be countered/killed every time I cast her. D'oh.
It's my attempt of Vintage-Blue Workshop + Legacy-Mono White Stax w/black for tutors. It gets tough sometimes, I still make play mistakes. Wrong fetches, wrong spot removal, err...it gets annoying.
They provide extra utility and clear up card slots. Lands can't be countered...yet.
Cabal Pit is a meta call. Braids, Cabal Minion, Dark Confidant, Vendilion Clique, Stoneforge Mystic, Saffi Eriksdotter, Goblin Welder, Kiki-Jiki, Pestermite, Deceiver Exarch are really common, so my I need to be prepared for it.

To be honest, I'd take out land (Temple of the False Gods) for Mana Crypt. this deck is mostly colourless. 36 Lands, ~37 Artifacts, 27 coloured spells.

I choose to use those lands because they clear up slots in my deck.
Sundering Titan appears in our games a lot...so I had to make my deck Sundering Titan proof.

Cephalid Coliseum is just amazing. All of my decks with Cephalid Coliseum have recursion/reanimation. It's an enabler.
