I'm still debating Buried Alive, but I did yank Liliana and Thunder Dragon.. still trying to decide how I might fit Skullclamp, Buried Alive and Living Death... Decisions decisions!
Still haven't figured out Buried Alive or Living Death. I may put Thunder Dragon back it because its a wonder combo with Massacre Wurm off of Tooth & Nail or Sneak Attack.
Wood Elves is kind of strange given how few forests you actually run. Which brings me to my next point: needs more basics. I would cut Forgotten Cave, Tresserhorn Sinks, Grove of the Burnwillows, and Golgari Rot Farm (and their friends) for basics. Duals, shocks, filters, and fetchlands are generally all the fixing you need. Especially when you have access to green's ramp spells. You'll be more resilient to nonbasic hate. ;-)
Edit: Unless of course no one hates on lands where you play. In which case more power to you. If the other people you play with have lots of nonbasics too, you might still consider switching to more basics to shut them down with Magus of the Moon without hurting yourself. ;-)

Some good suggestions, I cut Forgotten Cave, Tresserhorn Sinks, Grove of the Burnwillows & Highland Weald for 3 basics and Verdant Catacombs. I like the Wood Elves because he fetches both basic forests and forest duals, so its not quite that limited. I do feel I should keep the karoos as they do help me accelerate. I see the point against Magus of the Moon, but I rarely see it and it doesn't concern me too much.
I also have a Jund deck that is going to use this general...the deck has lots similarities with this one, but some different creaatures choices. I think I use more creatures that help me ramp into the big one, however i chet the fatties in with Sneak attack and Lurking Predators as well.
Since this deck uses lots of permanets why not try Warp World ?
You can easily end up with stupid board possitions.
Also, try to fit in few more ramp spells, or creatures.

I'll post mine tomorrow.
Warp World is fun, but it's a bit too random and I'm typically in a good board state that WW would likely disrupt.
I may put in a Cultivate, but I've had very little problem ramping up. I just want to tune the manabase a bit more.. Probably swap out land for
Yeah, as much as Bazaar is really a good card for me to run, I don't own one. Yeah, I know the deck has some expensive cards, but I haven't gotten that one yet lol
As far as Diamond Valley, I need to be able to gain alot of life, not just 1. Often in the late game, I'm low and just need 5-10 life to squeeze out the game, hence diamond valley is lacking.

Have you considered running Sword of Feast and Famine in place of Bear Umbra. I realize that you don't have to connect with Bear Umbra but the protections, discard and the ability to re equip all seem more advantageous to me.

I actually have considered it, but the reason I don't is that for the Umbra/Hellkite Charger combo. With the Sword, I have to wait a turn to have the mana for infinite attack steps. Not so with Bear Umbra
I know He shuffles back in the deck, but Isn't he a on puch Kill if giving haste?
Im not putting in doubt your action, I really want your opinion since Im thinking of putting him in my deck.

No, you're quite correct. Problem has been, he's a big bribery target that isnt so easy to deal with on the other side of the board. Also, I kept dying in the late game to low life, not really a creature issue so I'm trying these changes. I may switch back, especially if/when I had diamond valley to the mana base

I've always been less than impressed with Liliana. Usually just a bad tutor, from my experience running her.
And +1 on getting the Mimic Vat. Best EDH card EVAR.
And maybeSkullclamp?
I'm not crazy about Thunder Dragon.

With an Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth in play, Diamond Valley is a lot better than Miren, the Moaning Well. I run both.

Diamond Valley, {T}, Sacrifice a creature: You gain life equal to the sacrificed creature's toughness, is similar to Miren, the Moaning Well. I’m not talking about High Market. I agree with you that High Market is not good enough.
