Psychosis Crawler? It's chewed away at opponents pretty steadily for me and he tends to get quite big. Turns Mind Spring / Blue Sun's Zenith into win-cons versus the entire table.

Eh, the problem is, he really doesn't do much on his own, and if I'm not winning the game, I'd rather be playing something else for 5 mana. If I run him out there by himself, he is likely to eat removal right away. If I am playing him as a wincon and try to follow up with a mind spring, I'd probably already likely win that game anyway. Its kind of greedy, and a win-more card.
I believe that I have enough social competence to slip into a party or two, potentially wooing some attractive females that would not mind spending the evening performing the booty dance on me.
Deathmantle wasn't getting the job done, and I already have darksteel plate in here for creature protection. I wanted some graveyard hate as well. The boots are another haste effect, and the titan seems like it would be better at protecting me in multiplayer than confiscate.

What do you think of Mystic Remora? I'm not sure if I should run that or Rhystic Study.
Also, do you have any tips how to deal with troublesome enchantments or artifacts? Not much spot removal for those in these colors, so guess I should just stick with some sweepers?
Played your list today and my first game I kicked a Rite of Replication on a Grave Titan. My opponent just scooped. I think I have found the B/X general I was looking for.

Mystic remora is not worth it IMO. It is too costly, and doesn't even trigger on every spell. I like having my mana available to me, I'd run study over it any day.
You're right, there isn't much spot removal. You could run more countermagic, you could run karn liberated, which I was thinking of doing. Spine of ish sah is a colorless vindicate, but I don't really run any ways to abuse it in this deck. Your other options are sweepers. O-stone is amazing, and I like recurring it over and over with academy ruins to get rid of pesky artifacts and enchantments. recently, I have found disk to be a little too slow, so I was thinking of replacing it with all is dust. It seems faster, plus it doesn't nuke my mana stones.
Edit: Oh yeah, and I recently added blatant thievery, that also takes care of artifacts and enchantments. I used to run volition reins and confiscate, those are solid answers, but a little expensive to cast.

Good to hear that, glad my list is working out for you! Let me know if you have any problems or questions.

-Nevinyrral's disk
-Mind spring
-Spreading seas
-Lim dul's vault
-Tezzeret the seeker
+All is dust
+Blue sun's zenith
+Trade secrets
+Syphon mind
+Phyrexian metamorph
All is dust is better than disk because disk comes into play tapped, and all is dust doesn't blow up my mana rocks.
Blue sun's zenith is one mana extra for instant speed draw. Seems decent.
I just stopped liking spreading seas, I never really got much use out of it. Vault is a pretty terrible tutor as well, and card disadvantage. I wanted more low casting cost cards that produce card advantage. Speaking of which, I'm planning on adding shadowmage infiltrator when I obtain a copy.
Tezzeret wasn't working out either, most of the time I just used him to untap stuff, and he never lived long enough to ultimate. Phyrexian metamorph does his same job for less mana, and is less easily removed.

Do you ever find yourself wishing you had access to green for ramp and/or artifact/enchantment removal? If you were to add green, who would you choose for your general? Vorosh or Damia?

Yeah, sometimes. It would be nicer than getting my artifacts blown up half the time. More artifact and enchantment removal would be nice as well, along with good spells like tooth and nail and primeval titan.
If I was going to play a BUG general though, I wouldn't choose either of those, I'd run the mimeoplasm, it is the best by far.

But is the Mimeoplasm a good general for a classic "good stuff" control list? Or is he better in a list built to abuse his ability?

actually I find he is still pretty good without making your WHOLE deck revolve around him. you can run cards that are pretty good on their own like fauna shaman and survival and big dudes that happen to synergize with mimeoplasm. and anythign your opponents do also power him up. plus hes built in GY hate. all in all he is pretty sweet even in goodstuff.
at least hes better than vorosh. i think in a unforcused good stuff deck he is better than damia by a slight margin because you can usually get value out of him even if he dies right away. although damia's upside might be better sometimes, its usually hard to make her stick around
I decided to switch out Drana for Ertai, wizard adept. I wanted to try to cut down on my mana curve a little, and I already have fatties that serve similar purposes. I was rarely getting any value out of her, except in late game situations where I already had control of the board anyway. I wanted to add more control to the deck.

How do you feel about expedition map? Is volrath's stronghold a must for this deck?
Expedition map isn't required for this deck, since none of the lands are really CRITICAL to have in play. Plus there are a lot better tutors in black that let you search for ANY card.
You can get by without stronghold. Like I said, no land is critical to have. However, it is a very powerful land. It continuously lets you bring back awesome stuff that you can use over and over again like glen elendra archmage, fleshbag marauder, and solemn simulacrum. It also lets you bring back your fatties in case they die. If you can get your hands on a copy though, it is certainly an auto-include.

This deck is now officially retired! It has been really fun playing this deck, but at this point I have been playing it for over a year and a half, and I think I have taken this deck as far as it can possibly go. It has really been a blast, and I will always love Wrexial for being my first ever general.
Anyway, this primer is still a great reference, so I will leave it open for aspiring Wrexial players.

I have been looking for a forcefield to hold off early attacks as the deck gets hated out early. I haven't noticed the lack of removal because my meta is full of it.
Heres my list, it has alot of fun interaction although I am thinking of adding a timewalk effect or 2 because the players in my meta seem to have alot of success with them. I've always considered them cheap
Something to look into is treasure mage in these artifact heavy builds (which I really like). Allows you to get removal in duplicant, a beater in wormcoil engine or a slaver lock. In addition, you can look into the thopter assembly-time sieve combo which is tutorable with all the black tutors.
One other beater that is pretty darn good is rune-scarred demon. Another tutor too.
Yeah, I should put a treasure mage in mine. Ill need to find a foil one though Caged Sun is a real big player in getting fatties out easily. Mindleech mass is a good one to have, it used to be in it back when my general was Oona, I put Jin-Gitaxis in its place to try out. I dont really like combos that go infinite. Pet peeve of mine I guess. I do however LOVE having caged sun out play a palencron into a timespiral into a big fattie and other goodness
Edit: I havent tested O. Stone, but I like the idea of using the disk turn 3 to wipe out everyone's mana-facts. I a, also thinking of putting 1 or 2 timewalk effects in somehow as they are very popular in my meta. It can really be game-breaking. I perfer Vess for the tutor ability. If windfall was instant I would totally use it, but I may test it if I can find one. Mjorn of night's reach is amazing for a fattie, ppl often bribary it and reanimate it from my side and then realize they dont get his effect. Im always also looking for early defense measures such as Forcefield or Drift of Phantasms.
I have a deck built around this general, and i'm sort of surprised no one mentioned Knowledge Exploitation, it's my favorite card in my deck. It is super versatile and it lets you reuse the card you tutor up again with your general. My favorite is getting four extra turns by using their own Time Stretch against them.
