Rune-Scarred Demon despite having attacked in the first attack phase, would still have summoning sickness and would not be eligible to attack in the 2nd attack phase, unless you had Anger in the graveyard, however Kaalia could put another attacking Demon/Angel/Dragon into play on the 2nd attack phase with double strike, if you had one in hand.
Still worth including though, just not as lethal as we would like.

Yep, I'll update the section to reflect that. I was thinking that you could do it with greaves as well, but now that I think about it, greaves has to be equipped during a main phase (which there isn't one until afterward). Thanks for the catch.
I am sure you have thought about this, but I was thinking about some of your card choices, and hit on the combination of Corpse Dance and Kaervek the Merciless for those entwined Tooth and Nails, its so evil, even though my focus will not be punishment, I am including that one anyway!!!
I'm afraid it doesn't work. Kaervek has to be in play as they cast T&N to punish them, not when it resolves. It's too bad, that would've been a good play (or for a big Genesis Wave or Exsanguinate). I need to look for creatures that could be "danced" and punish those, surely there is something that would work.
Curious, you have 3 cards that recur enchantments... which enchantments are important enough to make sure you can get them back? Vicious Shadows?
Technically 4 (Yawgswill). Yep. I seemingly always have an enchantment in the grave with this deck, and it needs to keep the punishments on. I don't think I've ever been sorry to see one of the enchant recurs yet, so I'm pretty comfortable at the level it's at.
Vicious Shadows and then Manabarbs are the ones I usually want back the most, but then Wound Reflection, No Mercy, Spiteful Visions, Phyrexian Arena, Stranglehold, Painful Quandary, and Faith's Fetters pretty much guarantee the recursion has a decent use.
I got to play several duels with this deck yesterday, and I'm loving it more and more all the time, it's a lot more versatile than I originally thought it would be. A couple of the games were virtual lockouts with punishments, a couple big sorcery finishes, and a couple games I went totally aggro with Kaalia. One was swinging with her early and a free Angel of Despair, then dropped Manabarbs the same turn and it was pretty much my opponent giving me the "I'm screwed" sigh of resignation.
My Kaalia punisher deck got punished last night by Jenera, it was just too fast even in a 3 player game (the 3rd guy attacked me the whole time Jenera was kicking his ass, go figure).
somewhere in that mess I did have a stupid moment and attacked him with Kaalia with Oros when he had enough mana to power up Jenera to block, had I attacked the other guy, I would have been able to maybe sink his Frogling, though he was full of answers, he might have done something else.
by this time I was going WTF? I doubt he could have stacked his deck better than this, and I cut it twice.
Wow, sounds like the guy was already familiar with your deck and wasn't going to give you any breathing room. A lot of fast aggro is a definite concern. If you play the Jenara guy much, I'd probably get some pin/tuck in there (Condemn, Faith's Fetters is good for pinning commanders like Jenara). Some prevention would probably help (Maze of Ith or not nearly as good but might help is Kor Haven). Maybe No Mercy (we do like enchants)? Come to think of it, maybe one of the Vow Auras to encourage him to go after someone else?
Make sure you've got the standard sac outlets for Kaalia. With Gilded Drake or other theft in the meta, it's necessary - High Market and Phyrexian Tower. And Homeward Path is one of the best solutions for drake specifically.
I won one of my two 4-player games with her last night. One player milled about 30 cards including several punishments into my graveyard and I topdecked Replenish, lol. Thanks for all the cards, now die.
Hope it goes better for you. I'd be curious to know what you put in and how it works out.
Hey Blackjack, I remember you commenting about the Haakon Knight package and how well it plays in decks featuring B/W... have you tried that out much? Doesn't seem good in Kaalia, but I recently got a Vish Kal and thinking about it there.

I haven't. Yeah, not for Kaalia, but Vish maybe so. I'm running a Vish deck now (in sig). I'll have to give it a look again.
If you get a chance, take a look at my Kaalia build... fewer punishments and more Angels/Demons/Dragons. Trying out Quicksilver Amulet as a second way to cheat creatures in. Also That Which Was Taken to protect the punishment cards.
Have you considered/tried War's Toll? It seems like it could backfire and result in all your opponents attacking you... but with some discouraging cards like Windborn Muse and Michiko Konda, Truth Seeker it could work. I like the idea of Manabarbs and War's Toll.

You know, I had been thinking about including War's Toll in my end of month order, but I hadn't considered it + Manabarbs. I'm sure to try one out now.
I've never been much on propaganda effects like Windborn, but Michiko is a little more my style. I'll have to give that one some thought.
Been juggling deck ideas for my 3 current commanders: Kaalia, Jor Kadeen, and Uril. All 3 at face value seem to be best for aggressive strategies. Currently Jor is an aggressive deck with artifact mana base/land destruction to clear the way, Kaalia has a punishment theme with the idea of playing her late game, and Uril is a good stuff deck that also wants to play its general later on to finish things off.
But I've been thinking about mixing the strategies up a bit.
I like the idea of land destruction with Kaalia, though artifact mana doesn't have the metalcraft synergy it does with Jor. At its most basic, get a handful of demons/angels/dragons, blow up all the lands, and then cheat in your fatties. I'm not sure how effective this will be, but I'm going to test it.
With that in mind I started wondering about turning Uril into a punishment deck. He does love his enchantments. The biggest flaw in the plan is no black tutors, and no Wound Reflection to play with. On the flip side, there are some nice enchantment protections/synergies to take advantage of. Wondered what you thought of the idea, and if you were going to make a Uril punishment deck what direction you'd go in...
By the way, ignore the decks in my sig, they're all older versions that I haven't updated because everything is in such flux.

Actually, I very rarely have blown up lands with Kaalia in play. The trick is Jokulhaups or Obliterate which kills everything but your punishment enchantments. It's EXTREMELY hard to recover from that with punishments on the table.

He'd probably be good for a punisher sub-theme. I would miss black a lot, but white has enchant tutors including the best of them, Academy Rector, and you can make Uril indestructible easily enough so the Obliterate pretty much says "I win" (Bear Umbra, Hyena Umbra, Shield of the Oversoul). And it's always nice to have a main wincon as strong as Uril.
I've never built Uril so it's all speculation, but I'd say give it a try. I'd be curious to see how it works out.
I also play Weiss Schwarz, Chaos, Vanguard and Wixoss.
Weiss Schwarz Sets
Accel World, Angel Beats, Familiar of Zero, Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet, Guilty Crown, Kill La Kill, Robotics;Notes, Sword Art Online.
Chaos Partners
Arpeggio of Blue Steel: Iona, Kirishima, Kongou.
Dangan Ronpa: Asahina, Togami.
Freezing: Vibration: Chiffon, Satelizer.
Vanguard Clans Favoured
Angel Feather, Dark Irregulars, Genesis, Neonecter, Pale Moon, Shadow Paladins, Tachikaze.
Maybe take out of the board wipes (like jokulhaups) or a hate card like Zo-Zu? There is such as thing as too many hate cards and you need to draw them to use them.

You're down another dragon and another angel... you're getting close to not even needing Kaalia as much as her colors. Makes me wonder about Tariel instead, giving you the fun of stealing creatures from other people's graveyards. She is pricey mana-wise though. But if your primary win-con is punishments with finisher spells, wouldn't matter so much.
If you were going to keep some Demons/Angels/Dragons, Innistrad has some heavies. Balefire Dragon is brilliant. Beats Bogardan anyways in my opinion. And I know you mentioned not needing the card advantage, but Bloodgift Demon is hard to pass up. Phyrexian Arena on wings? Yes, thank you very much. Reaper from the Abyss is going in mine because he fits the punisher theme. With him and Sheoldred out, and Angel of Despair, you're going to be doing some pretty good board damage.
I'll probably swing back towards more tribals at some point, and I like Balefire and Bloodgift for sure, but I want to see what the deck can do with really heavy punisher for a while.
I have to stick with Kaalia though, I fell in love with the artwork and flavor. I also hate the thought of having to go through "randomly choosing a creature" to recur with Tariel from 3 packed graveyards. Seems like it would be a hassle.
Blackjack, I like that you have a unique style for Kaalia, but it kills me every time I look at your thread The flavor is just being misused! She isn't a "built whatever you want" kind of commander like Damia, sage of stone, she begs for angels demons and dragons. Alas, I do understand we don't have many commanders to choose from in BRW.
I can't really talk either because I have a zedruu deck, and he begs to donate every little thing he can, but I've made it into a defensive stealing deck with his donate as a lowly sub theme.

Speaking of punishment, surprised that you run Ghostly Prison instead of or at least not along with Norn's Annex. CMC is the same, if you're willing to part with 4 life. But it's just mean. If they're not running white, then they have to pay 2 life for every attacking creature.

? I'm not running Ghostly. I ran both GP and Norns at one point, but took them out as they just didn't seem to help enough. If I do ever put one back in, it will definitely be Norns.
Good Luck, and be sure and let me know how it goes. I'm very interested.
Oooh, and come up with some catchy deck name like Kaalia's Shadow, or In the Shadow of Angels
