So this is what my search of UB token makers/LTB kinda effects got me. I'm sure some of the choices are lackluster, can ya let me know which ones?
Apparently I build decks in phases; I'll get to the draw, etc at another time. Added some Transmute tutors, and filled out the mana base with some stuff. Added more tech to the Nightclub :p. Considering it's a full decklist now, removed the WIP in title. Considering an Eldrazi package, thoughts?
I know this seems pretty obvious, and you said you hadn't included your draw stuff at the time of posting, but I'm pretty sure the first thing I would include in this deck is a ROBUST Skullclamp package, featuring Bitterblossom, Reassembling Skeleton, Bloodghast etc. etc.
On the value scale, 1: Sacrifice a creature, draw two cards, each opponent loses 1 life is pretty good.
Well, we all build decks differently with different thought processes lol. Bitterblossom is too $$$ for me. I need to find that Skele I traded for, and I need to get a Skullclamp apparently.
Vela just seems too overpriced for me, I want more bang for my buck, and why is a wizard hanging out with ninja's anyway??? Things that make you say "hmmmmmmmm...."

...'K...
I think my search was sorta helmet-wearing special, but I could only really find Mistvein Borderpost and Worn Powerstone for mana rocks.
Breeding Pit is a very budget bitterblossum. Endrek Sahr, Master Breeder could be helpful as well. Bounce a normal creature, then recast to make tokens to sac into phyrexian alter, repeat.
Shriekmaw would be decent; killing off a creature, then sacrificing it to a sac for mana thing and having Vela go off all for the difference in evoke cost to how much you get for saccing it seems really good.
I can't think of the name of the tutor, but it's essentially, 1B sacrifice a creature and then you get to Demonic Tutor; seems good with Vela;
Also, I don't know if you don't want to be 'that guy' in your playgroup, but, Exsanguinate fueled by an Urbog, Tomb of Yawgmoth + Cabal Coffers fits in with your theme, and overall mode of damage.
A pseudo-wrath that would work in your favor would be Evacuation. Instant speed, a bunch of LTB activations for you. I like Erratic Portal as much as Crystal Shard. Conjurer's Closet is an every turn activation that nobody is going to get mad enough to blow up.

I'm using my Mind Stones in a GB Glissa deck, and I dunno if I like Chalice. /shrug. Also, Darksteel Ingot. Facepalm of all facepalms. Sphere of the Suns?
Maaybe on crawler. Have to see where the deck goes.
If the card is >$6, it's outta budget. Not to mention, that I'm more likely to spend on my other decks. /shrug.
So, Stronghold and Tower definitely are outta budget. Plus, I would probably slot them in other decks before this one.
Shriekmaw came in the BUG precon right? I could fish him out if he makes the cut.
You're thinking of Diabolic Intent, and my copy is in Olivia.
Urborg, once again, is $$$. Plus, that's kinda the route Drana is taking. I'm not opposed to Exsang, once I get a few more copies.

I'll need to come back to the deck tomorrow and revise the mana rocks, lol. They aren't bad by any means, they're just not always fantastic, ya know?
Oona is cool and I was considering her, but at the same time my 6 mana slot is already pretty clogged, and I was thinking at the time that she wouldn't help or hurt the deck. Tokens obviously, but besides that.../shrug. Mikaeus could be pretty powerful; I'm just not much of a zombie player. But if I can get a hold of either, I might trade for them or w/e and give them a shot. Mulldrifter also came in the BUG precon yes?
I traded my Evacuation a while back, but I could pick up another one and the Closet too.
Dunno how I feel on combo; haven't really played with or against much of it, and it seems like it could be lame. /shrug.
On Mythic Rares: "What's next, Wizards will print six golden Black Lotuses and randomly place them in boosters, and if someone gets one, they get to tour the Wizards facility?"
Oh! something else you can use that you may have; the BWG Commander precon had a black enchantment that allowed you to sac creatures to either terror their creature or force them to sac.

Attrition? I also Mind slash for the same function. Force your opponent to discard that combo piece you know they are hoarding.

That's Ghave, not Mimeo. Wouldn't mind having an Attrition though.
Puppet Conjurer is a nice inclusion, very happy to see that. Maybe it's too cute, but I kind of like Glaze Fiend, too.
Pentavus seems a lot better than Triskelavus, since it lets you essentially pay to drain everyone for 1 life with Vela on board. Triskelavus lets you ping stuff but that doesn't seem better to me than being able to make and sacrifice artifact tokens over and over.
Where are all the ninjas? The synergy is pretty obvious IMO.
That might just be my spin on things though. I run Vela also, but with a theme of evasion, when it deals damage theme.

I'm sorry!
Fair enough, I wasn't thinking techno-y enough. Ravager is a no-go, but the rest is fine. Glaze Fiend strikes me as cute too. Too cute.
I know I have a Triskel from the precons, but I don't remember if I actually have the Pentavus, since it would be in this GB Glissa deck and it's a pain to look through all my cards...
Where are all the ninjas? The synergy is pretty obvious IMO.

Yeah, I think that's more your spin on the deck. Like Luminum said, not enough robots for a techno nightclub!
(Plus the artifact-heavyness makes my wallet happy, since a lot of them are fairly cheap and I don't need all those uber expensive lands)
I've been wanting to throw in an "Eldrazi Package" into one deck at least, and I would think this would be the best one; Vela hurts my opponents for the little buggers ramping me, and they're just so cute :p.
I've been following your discussion on the Vela deck, and I do have a couple of ideas. First though, thanks for putting it up. Saves me the time to make one from scratch. I'm trying to play some sort of mind-control, sacrifice theme to make use of Vela's ability. I know it may not be the most efficient, but it's a different angle.
Stuff like Fool's Demise seems to be looking for a home here.
What's your meta look like? No way is Fellwar Stone gonna be useless; at the very least it's a worse Mindstone (unless Geddon just happened...).
Physically, it's pretty much non-existent. My best buddy moved away to Illinois, and the rest of the man-children I play Magic with seem to like 60/4 magic a lot more, while I don't.
I do have Cockatrice, but that's another problem because I just don't have much time to play, it seems.
On Fellwar Stone, I don't really like it because it's dependent on your opponent. At least Mind Stone always gives me 1 and can be "cycled" for a card.
Anywho, Vela is the first UB general I've been interested in building. Credits to luminum can for the awesome thread title.

--- Drana, Kalastria Bloodchief --- Ghoulcaller Gisa --- Akroma, Angel of Fury --- Titania, Protector of Argoth ---
Coming soon.
Book-keeping etc.
The ideal basics for this deck would be these Islands (2, 3, 4) and this Swamp. For my own records, really.

Thoughts on Chancellor of the Spires, Evil Twin, Tezzeret the Seeker, Master Transmuter, Inkwell Leviathan, Jinxed Idol, Twincast, Inundate, Sunken Hope, Dimir Guildmage, Moriok Replica, and Sudden Spoiling?.

Mind Stone , Everflowing Chalice for 2cc Mana Stones;
Thran Dynamo , and Gilded Lotus for higher cc Mana Stones.
Gravecrawler would also be decent, you have a couple zombies in here.
I know you said you're on a budget, so I'm sorry if a few of these cards are out of your range, but
Phyrexian Tower, andVolrath's Stronghold would be really good in here;
Shriekmaw would be decent; killing off a creature, then sacrificing it to a sac for mana thing and having Vela go off all for the difference in evoke cost to how much you get for saccing it seems really good.

Oona, Queen of the Fae isn't that $$ and seems pretty darn good here.

Mulldrifter is a pretty good thing to bounce. Undying seems good in this deck too. Mikaeus, the Unhallowed.
Speaking of Mikaeus, if you're open to combo, Nim Deathmantle with Ashnod's Altar and Grave Titan type cards is decent.
WUBRG Some of these decks can actually win games...WUBRG
How I know I should build a deck:

You may not want to run this route, but I have some "cheap tricks":
Chain of Vapor, if you got enough blue, you could pick up all your creatures in response to a wipe, and get life for each of them.
Shrieking Drake, this guy was made to party with Vela.
Corpse Dance and Palinchron with your sac outlets and Vela out, is GG. (depends on your meta, it might be frowned upon)
..
Azusa - Derevi - Glissa - Mizzix - Sharuum - Wanderer - Wort
Myr Retriever and Junk Diver loops are the sort of thing I had in mind. Along with Arcbound Slith, Arcbound Crusher, Arcbound Reclaimer, and Arcbound Ravager if the price tag doesn't make it a no-go. Dross Scorpion and Myr Turbine make an infinite combo with a sac outlet as well.

I actually have those first two, that usually doesn't happen lol. Dropping drone and autocrat, but the scorpion goes infinite with Myr Turbine.
Piracy would be cool, not sure what to drop though. Hmm...
