This will be my first post of a decklist so bear with me if it isn't particularly pretty. This is my Savra EDH Deck, one that has been together for going on 5 years. It has always been my pet deck and I've enjoyed watching it evolve with new cards being spoiled and the progression of my local metagame.
Disclaimers regarding my local Meta:
We have a soft spot for what we call 'true highlander' i.e. decks with no copies of any cards whatsoever including basic lands. Generally this means you run the basics and snow-covereds of your colors, but no other basic lands. The rationale behind this is that most decks would be a hell of a lot more consistent if you could play an ideal mana base using basics, and the fact that the rest of your lands that aren't either utility or dual lands tend to be strictly worse than basics allows for powerful decks that are neutered to some degree by shaky mana bases.
As a consequence of the above: Mono-color decks are scarce, as the rule is waived for them and they tend to dominate with their mana consistency.
Non-basic land hate is de-facto banned. We still love our Avalanche Riders, Reap and Sow, and Terastodon for those aggravating Maze of Ith, Kor Haven, Academy Ruins etc. but things like Price of ProgressBack to BasicsPrimal Order and especially Ruination are frowned upon, and we enjoy the power level of things like Wilderness Elemental, Mercadia's Downfall etc.
Mass Land destruction, Time walk effects, and straight combo decks are scarce as well, as we have generally grown tired of their antics. Its only rarely that a game is won with a Reiterate + Mana Geyser, and Tooth and Nail is rarely an auto-win.
We tend to play 4-6 player Free-for-All games
With that, feast your eyes upon the staple-laden list that is SAVRA.
Basically your average BG ramp/reanimator setup, with wins generally coming off the backs of Genesis Wave or Krovikan Horror combined with some perversely large quantity of mana.
Feedback I would like:
Dealing with flyers.
I'm currently after a Hornet Queen to replace the Symbiotic Wurm, but other than that removal/maze are my few options for stalling that lightning greaves-ed Gisela.
How to win without ~pseudo combo-ing~
Recently I've been irked at how frequently I just search up a Genesis Wave once I reach ump-tillion mana and am eager for different means of securing victory. When I'm not just garnering concessions with genesis wave for 23, i tend to just chuck a few dozen Avenger of Zendikar tokens at people with a Krovikan Korror. I would love feedback perhaps on ways to start getting a good deal more into the red zone with my fatties.
Feedback on the deck in general, questions regarding inclusions or exclusions are welcome as well, as there are a number of cards I'd like to include and many I sometimes find lack-luster. The deck has been together for years now and I have pretty good reasoning for each inclusion/exclusion, but commentary on particular cards or a trend in the deck would be helpful
