Thank You [thread=329663]Rivenor/Miraculous Recovery Studios[/thread]!
Well, this is my Nath deck. It has several sub themes and I would say overall it's a powerful and versatile deck. It takes the best elements of what BG has to offer and takes advantage of the best synergies in both color for Nath.
Sub Themes/Deck Elements
1. Tokens, both utilization offensively with pump effects or mana production with Elves and Gaea's Cradle and last but not least sacrifice of the tokens to yield great reward.
2. Creatures with come into play abilities and reusing them. Everything ranging from ramp, removal, card draw and even tutoring.
3. Big mana. Being in BG gives us access to some of the best mana ramping and production available and there are a lot of ways to utilize lots of mana.
4. Card draw. This deck can really draw, I mean REALLY DRAW. Lots of ways to draw a unfair amount of cards.
5. Tutoring. BG has some of the best tutors available and this deck takes full advantage of them. This makes the deck very consistent.
6. Disruption. Nath himself is disruptive but there's even more disruption the deck that can effectively end the game for your opponents.
7. Recursion. The deck has strong recursion simply because of BG being the best colors for it.
This deck has many path to victory. Exsanguinate, Genesis Waveand Sorin Markov can easily win on their own but they aren't necessary to win. A lot of times just raping everyone's hands with Sadistic Hypnotist, drawing **** tons of cards/burying them in CA,locking the board with Contamination or simply smashing face with your horde are all viable options.
I didn't want to use Deathcloud because I've opted for Contamination, which is easier/quicker to set up and serves a similar purpose.I use a lot of big mana stuff like Exsanguinate or Genesis Wave that would be useless after a Deathcloud. To be most effective I believe Deathcloud has to be heavily built around and at that point you've invested very heavily in that strategy, which I don't like doing.
Nath has some nice perks when compared to other generals. Basically you get tokens when opponents discard. And you get them every one of your upkeeps, its like having a built in Bitterblossom that punishes your opponents instead of you. Whats not to like?So you can also use cards that require creature sacrifice with little to no real drawback.
So he provides disruption while giving tokens. Did I mention they're elves? That opens the door to other great synergies like Elvish Archdruid for example. Add a little mass discard like say Sadistic Hypnotist or the friendlier stuff like Memory Jar and you'll be rolling in elves, add Priest of Titania,Archdruid or a leveled up Joraga Treespeaker and you'll have massive amounts of mana to fuel broken plays.
For me Nath is the best BG general. He does so much and supports some really strong strategies and synergies.
This deck uses Birthing Pod to great effect, starting at zero on the curve and connecting all the way to eight mana. You name it and I have creature that does it.Sacrificing Nath to grab something like Primeval Titan is always fun too.
Elves Elvish Archdruid:Can easily produce obscene amounts of mana after you've raped everyone's hands or were just allowed time to build up a lot of elves unchecked. The pump is nice also. Archdruid also gives us green mana while contamination is in effect.
Farhaven Elf:Is a good card because as soon as it enters the battlefield you get color fixing/ramp. The 1/1 body doesn't seem so great but the fact it's a elf and a body makes it useful to use. First the elf part ups the count of mana other elves can produce and the body can be sacced to powerful cards in the deck such as Skullclamp,Natural Order or even Diabolic Edict plus Gilt-Leaf Palace coming into play untapped is cool.
Oracle of Mul Daya: What a great card. The fact she is an Elf is just icing on the cake. I mean ramping lands like Explorationalone is great, but giving you your top card of your library to play if it's a land is just that much more awesome. Great with shuffle effects or library manipulation to find more lands.
Solemn Simulacrum: Is mainly in here to be used with Birthing Pod, because I'm in green there a better general options but if I'm running pod I'm running solemn, just great with pod.
Vorinclex, Voice of Hunger: A pretty good card for the most part, he's a little costly and will usually get killed if they can but hey it's another mana doubler for B/G so I can't complain.
Coalition Relic: is in here to use with contamination plus it's decent fixing and insurance against land destruction as are the mana producing Elves.
Mana Crypt:What's there to say about this card? Mana acceleration doesn't get much better than this but at a price that can be very relevant sometimes. Ive been knocked down to single digit life with crypt while everyone laughed.
Sol Ring: A card that I doubt needs much explanation. If you're playing EDH this card should be in your deck.
Mana Relfection: I consider to be the best mana doubler in the game, kind of expensive and sometimes you'd rather be casting other stuff for 6 mana but if you untap with it you're in a great position.
Cultivate and Kodama's Reach: What can be said about these? Well first off they give you two cards for the price of one and are great color fixing. A lot of the time these are better Explosive Vegetations. There's also other synergies with land fall or getting a huge swamp count with Coffers and Urborg.
Skyshroud Claim: Great at grabbing dials plus it leaves you with at least two mana after you play it.
Mass Disruption Contamination: Many people know this card as a combo piece with stuff like Bitterblossom or Reassembling Skeleton. Considering or general creates tokens and we have a good amount of Elves that produce green mana this is a great card. Have board advantage? Cast this and keep it. Have a mana producing Elf or two and you're behind? Cast this and bring people to halt from casting new stuff until you can overpower them.
Sadistic Hypnotist: Has a name that is very fitting, well the sadistic part. If you have Nath out and you cast this, everyone's hand are gone unless they have spot removal right there and then. After that it becomes a game of topdeck a board wipe or lose. Good times!
Targeted Removal Acidic Slime: Basically Creeping Mold on a stick. Very versatile removal that can attack, block and be reused. The fact he can trade with any creature that's not indestructible is awesome.
Duplicant: Great removal that exiles and can be a huge beater. I must admit that I think this card is overrated and doesn't belong in every deck, but I'm running big mana and a 187 creature subtheme so he belongs in here.
Loaming Shaman:Is pretty good GY hate, I just wish it exiled. Might become Scavenging Ooze in the future but then again sometimes a gy is so full you need to get rid of a lot of stuff at once. We'll see.
Terastadon: Can singlehandedly take care of several problems at once, retaliation against a single player that pissed you off or get yourself three 3/3 Elephants at the cost of three permanents if need be.
Wickerbough Elder: Good artifact/enchantment removal that can be used later if there's no juicy target when he's cast.
Woodfall Primus: Kind of a damned if you do damned if you don't kind of card for your opponents. He has great synergy with sac outlets but he really shines with stuff like Greater Good.
Beast within: A green instant speed Vindicate? Yes please! With all the fat this deck runs they might as well get nothing at all. This can produce yourself a blocker in a pinch.
Maelstrom Pulse: More of that versatile B/G Removal. This is like a Vindicate that doubles as a one-sided board wipe against tokens.
Putrefy: Instant speed creature/artifact removal can be very valuable.
Sweepers Damnation: Has it's obvious uses like wiping the board if you're behind but there are some more sinister synergies in here. First is having Mikaeus, the Unhallowed out and it basically becomes a Plague Wind that allows you to reuse a bunch of ETB and pump all your creatures. Second is with Kamahl, Fist of Krosa, turn a bunch of your opponents lands into dudes in response.
Decree of Pain: See Damnation. Let's you draw a ****load of cards at the same time.
Pernicious Deed: Has been called the best multiplayer sweeper and for good reason. I would have to say it's a close tie between this and Austere Command. Either way it's another piece of versatile removal that this color combination offers.
Draw Graveborn Muse: Decent draw and it fills a spot on the Birthing Pod chain at cmc4 that is much needed. I wish I had more zombies to really make this card pay off but as it stands it's a cheaper less conspicuous Bloodgift Demon.
Regal Force: Can lead to massive amounts of cards and it's a 5/5 body. This card is part of the reason I'm even running Reliquary Tower which should tell you something, it's also very tutorable considering I run Green Sun's Zenith and Natural Order.
Memory Jar: Is Guarantied to give you decent sized army of Elves with Nath out. Plus drawing seven is never a bad thing.
Sensei's Divining Top is a great card if you have a lot of shuffle effects, which I do.
Skullclamp is a crazy strong draw engine in this deck with all the tokens and sacrifice effects. Good times!
Greater Good: Another draw engine that can get out of hand quick. I love the fact that it's a free sac outlet that can be used in response to a wrath of theft effect. If you're running lots of far this is a good option.
Necropotence: Is a card that has a lot of stigma attached to it. It's a powerful draw engine but even better when you have Forty life. Great synergy with Reliquary Tower. If you're low on life it can kind of suck though.
Sylvan Library: Very good cheap filtering and draw. I personally like this better than top in most cases because it can produce actual card advantage.
Tutors Demonic Tutor: This is a card that's very well known. Not much to say that hasn't been said. Great undercosted tutor. You can usually tutor and play the card the same turn due to the low mana cost.
Diabolic Intent:Is basically Demonic Tutor #2 in this deck since there's rarely a shortage of expendable creatures.
Grim Tutor: A slightly more expensive Demonic Tutor. It's expensive money wise but if you own one there's no reason not to use it, well maybe if you're a noob that's scared of life loss there is hahahh.
Vampiric Tutor: Another cheap versatile tutor. I often wonder if the instant speed is worth the card disadvantage and the wait.
Creature Tutors Birthing Pod: This card is a favorite of mine. Very good if you has a deck that abuses creatures wit ETB effects. Youre almost always going to get value from it since it gets a card with cmc +1 than what you sacrificed.See Birthing Pod chain spoiler for a look at my pod curve. Nice synergy with Mikaeus, the Unhallowed.
Chord of Calling is a great instant speed into play tutor. It can be damn near free with enough tokens in play. I also love it can grab any color creature.
Green Sun's Zenith: A good card that I'm on the fence about. It can be a good ramp spell early game of grab some of bombier stuff later game but It's not nearly as powerful as it is in my mono green deck, especially when I can't effectively use a card like Rofellos, Llanowar Emissary. I'm thinking about replacing it with Survival of the Fittest.
Natural Order: Sees a lot of competitive play, or it used to at least and for good reason. There's nothing like turning a useless elf into a Terastadon or Primeval Titan. Really good in here with the token production.
Tooth and Nail: Hmmm. I believe this is the best non-creature green bomb in EDH. So many devastating plays can be made with this card. I don't run the Mikaeus, the Unhallowed and Triskelion because it seems too easy and too cheap.
Recursion Eternal Witness: Not a whole lot to say about this other than it's a Regrowth on a stick so it's easily recurred.
Regrowth: Is a powerful classic and for good reason. It's very versatile and cheap also.
Sheoldred, Whispering One: Is a new addition to the deck. Most of times I've seen her played she's died quickly but that says a lot about her power level. Opponents sac, you recur and swampwalk can be very relevant given the prevalence of Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth.
Protection/Pump Kamahl, Fist of Krosa: Can knock people out of the game pretty easily with enough dudes but what I really like is his ability to turn opponent's lands into dudes if they try to wipe the board.
Mikaeus, the Unhallowed: As mentioned has a lot of great synergies that I went over already. His pump is really nice too. If they wrath, your guys are coming back and they're coming back bigger and more pissed off.
Lightning Greaves: A staple that probably doesn't need much explanation.
Mega Bombs Exsanguinate: A game ender that can also be used just to get a second wind when all the lifeloss effects have got your count low. Very good with all the mana this deck can pump out. Wins games!
Genesis Wave: What other card in EDH can put half your library or more into play? Very good card that also requires clever deck building to ensure your board doesn't just get blown up by a Wrath of God or something. I have a few cards in here that if flipped with G-Wave provide protection for your dudes, some of these are Mikaeus, the Unhallowed, Contamination,Sadistic Hypnotist and Kamahl, Fist of Krosa.
Sorin Markov: IMO is one of the best planeswalkers in EDH. Is there a player that's just gotten way too out of control, or that passive player that has been sitting on his cards, staying out of the fray and waiting for people to do his work for him while remaining unscathed? Sorin can take care of that problem. Also good at being flipped with a G-Wave before you attack.
Lands
Utility Bojuka Bog: Is a auto-include in any black deck for me. So easy to just nuke a graveyard and it doesn't take up a spell slot.
Dryad Arbor: Can be sort of a double edged sword. On the one hand it's a fetchable body that can be grabbed for cheap with a fetchland at instant speed or Green Sun's Zenith or you can just sac it to something like Skullclamp or Natural Order. On the other hand it's a land that dies to wrath effects and for all intents and purposes comes into play tapped. Still I consider it very good in here.
Mosswort Bridge: Well getting 10 power worth of creatures on the board is a breeze with this deck. It comes into play tapped which sucks, but the pay off it can provide is worth it.
Petrified FieldMay seem questionable in a two color deck but you better believe people are going to try to blow up best lands like coffers and cradle. This is a counter measure against that.
Phyrexian Tower: Sac outlet that can beat split second? Hell yeah! Not to mention they'll usually be plenty of expendable creatures around so this is often a better Ancient Tomb.
Strip Mine:With stuff like Maze of Ith,opposing coffers and other nasty stuff lands running around I've found this card very valuable. And sometimes you can just mana screw somebody by blowing up a basic or two.
Survival of the fittest is a strong consideration right now but it would require removing a creature and another slot or two for reanimation effects since I'm using black. Maybe in the future.
3-8-12
Removed Phyrexian Arena
Added Syphon Mind
I found early game a lot of times I didn't have 1BB and I felt like I'd rather get a couple cards at once rather than wait a turn to break even, plus I get tokens from syphon.
Removed Ulamog, the Infinte Gyre
Added Sheoldred, Whispering One
I wanted to get a little more recursion and it's cheaper than Ulamog to cast. We'll see if she pans out. 3-9-12
Removed Helm of Possession
Added Contamination
Well I'm giving in to my inner spike and flipping this with Genesis Wave or just casting it after Nath is a pretty strong play.
Removed Sylvan Ranger
Added Priest of Titania
Removed Explosive Vegetation
Added Coalition Relic
These two changes were made to accommodate Contamination plus they're not bad options on their own.
Removed Syphon Mind
Added Sadistic Hypnotist
Again I gave in to my inner spike. This card rapes everyone's hands and gives me a bunch of tokens. 3-13-12
Removed Sakura-Tribe Elder
Added Sylvan Ranger
I like the fact I can get a land of Ranger then sac it to something else like Diabolic Intent for example, plus she's a elf so there's other synergies. 3-21-12
Removed Indrik Stomphowler
Added Wickerbough Elder
I did this to beef up the CMC4 slot on the Birthing Pod chain and I like the fact that if there's not a good target at the time he's cast I can use his ability later.
So I'm thinking about glissa as the general instead but I'm looking for feedback. What does this deck gain from being able to recur the standard glissa stuff? It will lose the ability to make tokens which I utilize for stuff like Diabolic intent, helm of posession,,skullclamp and natural order. Sure I can still use those but not as freely. Any idea? Is it worth it?
Ok, I finally took the time to sort and list my current build. Check it out in the OP, let me know what you think. Also considering Parallel Lives because it fits nicely as a 4th turn pre Nath play, but I would obviously need to add another token generator or two.
Those are some interesting options. Would earthcraft be any good without squirrel nest? I'm definitely not against powerful cards by any means, I just didn't want to completely knock out everyone's hand early on. Painful quandary looks like something I'd be interested in.
If you usually have a few small tokens or creatures around, Earthcraft is pretty insane, even without Squirrel Nest. For two measly mana, you can produce much more than a mana rock or ramp spell, and since it's an enchantment, it's pretty difficult to remove. Even if you only have one creature to use, it's still about as good as a mana rock, and is obviously insane once you have a few tokens out.
Well I've had great luck in the past with Vedalken shackles which is very similar, but I haven't drawn helm in a real game yet. I like that it can grab anything except shrouded creatures. I'll swap them out and do some goldfishing tonight and see how it goes.
Yes, I know. I mentioned in the deck explanation that I originally went that route but I found it unfun for my friends to have no hands early in the game. What I'm currently doing is keeping cards aside like sadistic hypnotist, Myojin of Night's Reach,Deathcloud and Cabal Conditioning in a Douche Board so to speak, so if I come up against any douchey decks I can easily throw those in.
EDIT: I updated the list to include the douche board.
Helm may be the right choice there. As it stands I'm not really trying to go that route, but I'm aware of the combo with Mike and Trike. Mike is more there for protection or to abuse CIP creatures with sac outlets like greater good or helm.
Some gems from my own list, that I desperately need to update:
Wirewood Herald, great with Birthing Pod not too shabby, reusable sacrificial lamb otherwise. Gets you the Elves you want/need.
Mind Slash: Sacrifice Outlet, Targeted Discard, works beautifully with Nath, or the Grimoire if you choose to run it.
Earthcraft: A levelled up Treespeaker on steroids. I play without the Squirrel Nest, though it's an option.
Oversold Cemetery: Recursion that gives you a dude for free every turn if not dealt with.
Other good creatures for a pod chain are: Viridian Shaman (3), Solemn Simulacrum (4).
I'm not that big a fan of the land searching spells in here. I think you'd be better off with creatures, Yavimaya Elder is nice with pod, once again.

You know? I considered this card and I couldn't really think of what Elf I would want to grab with it. What do you usually grab? Is the tempo loss problematic?
I'm also considering Fierce Empath too. It's also an Elf so that's good too.
Mind Slash: Sacrifice Outlet, Targeted Discard, works beautifully with Nath, or the Grimoire if you choose to run it.
I've also considered this as well but I figured if really want to go that route why not just take them all out with Sad Hypnotist. I guess redundancy is good though.
Earthcraft: A levelled up Treespeaker on steroids. I play without the Squirrel Nest, though it's an option.
I goldfished with this and it seemed like i didn't always have enough basics early game to make this most valuable when I want mana the most. How many basics do you run to make it worthwhile?

Ardeyn
I was considering Uktabi Orangutan AKA monkey love, but it's cool to see an Elf that does it. Solemn is in there.
I've found with all the draw I have Elder wasn't needed, ramp is needed due to a lot of the creatures being costly mana wise. I run Elder in my green deck but here I never wanted to pay 5 mana for lands, I'd rather play a third turn cultivate and a fourth turn Nath.
Since I use more utility elves, Wirewood Herald might be more valuable in my list. I've considered cutting it numerous times, but every time I played him, he was amazing, getting Viridian Shaman, Savra, Imperious Perfect, Glissa, the Traitor or whatever was most useful at the time. Usually it's no problem getting him killed through Phyrexian Tower, High Market, Birthing Pod or any other of the numerous means of sacrificing a creature in this deck. I never seriously felt a tempo loss caused by him. Also, being able to easily recurr him, is a nice bonus. Fierce Empath is a cool option in conjunction with the Herald, though.
Phyrexian Reclamation is really good, as you can return creatures to your hand at instant speed. I must admit I haven't tried it yet, though I'm satisfied with Oversold Cemetery. Still, I like to have redundancy, that's also why I run Mind Slash, which is harder to remove for most decks, than the Hypnotist.
Concerning Earthcraft: I currently run 16-18 basic lands, I think. But all you need is one, when Earthcraft is on the field. So it's been good to me, though mostly once I get some token producer online. It's cool with Bitterblossom for example.

I keep hearing good things about earth craft. I may just have to up my basic land count and try it. Thank you for the suggestions. I will keep them in mind when as the deck evolves.
I ran Nath for a long time. I would suggest Ill-Gotten Gains. Also I would focus the deck as more of a STAX type deck. Nath loves Braids effects so Smokestack and Sheoldred, Whispering One fit in quite nicely.
If you can get your hands on a Gaea's Cradle, I would do it. This deck loves it ;D
My list in my signature is quite old. Garruk, the Veil-Cursed might have a place in this deck as well.

Elves
Elvish Archdruid:Can easily produce obscene amounts of mana after you've raped everyone's hands or were just allowed time to build up a lot of elves unchecked.
Joraga Treespeaker:Kind of like Elvish Archdruid but leveled up she can make all your Elves start spitting up mana. Leveling her up with spare mana is surprisingly easy. Great for casting a huge Genesis Wave or Exsanguinate.
Priest of Titania:Very similar to Elvish Archdruid but she doesnt pump and is cheaper to cast. Serves pretty much the same role.
Sylvan Ranger:Very similar to Farhaven Elf but she puts the land in your hand instead.
Wood Elves:Is almost exactly the same as Farhaven Elf but they are a little better because they can grab that Bayou or Overgrown Tomb.
Non-Elf Accelerants
Birds of Paradise:A pretty standard option in multicolor decks.
Primeval Titan: A very notorious fellow and for good reason. First activation I usually go for Cabal Coffers and Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth, second Gaea's Cradle and Deserted Temple or maybe Petrified Field if something I need got blown up.
Mass Disruption
Contamination: Many people know this card as a combo piece with stuff like Bitterblossom or Reassembling Skeleton.
Good times!
Targeted Removal
Acidic Slime: Basically Creeping Mold on a stick.
Indrik Stomphowker: A good ETB ability plus a decent beater. This will probably become Wickerbough Elder to round out my Birthing Pod curve at 4cmc spot.Loaming Shaman:Is pretty good GY hate, I just wish it exiled. Might become Scavenging Ooze in the future but then again sometimes a gy is so full you need to get rid of a lot of stuff at once. We'll see.
Shriekmaw: Another great ETB creature that's basically Terror on a stick. He has some synergies with Volrath's Stronghold and Mikaeus, the Unhallowed too.
Sweepers
Damnation: Has it's obvious uses like wiping the board if you're behind but there are some more sinister synergies in here.
Draw
Graveborn Muse: Decent draw and it fills a spot on the Birthing Pod chain at cmc4 that is much needed.
Tutors
Demonic Tutor: This is a card that's very well known.
Rune-Scarred Demon: Is a card I wouldn't normally run but I'm aiming to use and abuse ETB effects so he's in here. He's good with stuff like Tooth and Nail to grab Contamination along with Sadistic Hypnotist.
Vampiric Tutor: Another cheap versatile tutor. I often wonder if the instant speed is worth the card disadvantage and the wait.
Creature Tutors
Birthing Pod: This card is a favorite of mine.
Recursion
Eternal Witness: Not a whole lot to say about this other than it's a Regrowth on a stick so it's easily recurred.
Token Spawners
Avenger of Zendikar: Is a creature that easily wins games if left unchecked. Lots of synergy in this deck, probably some of the best cards to use this with are Primeval Titan,Regal Force and Gaea's Cradle.
Rampaging Baloths: A great token spammer. Lots of fun with Genesis Wave when you're flipping 5+ lands.
Protection/Pump
Kamahl, Fist of Krosa: Can knock people out of the game pretty easily with enough dudes but what I really like is his ability to turn opponent's lands into dudes if they try to wipe the board.
Mikaeus, the Unhallowed: As mentioned has a lot of great synergies that I went over already. His pump is really nice too. If they wrath, your guys are coming back and they're coming back bigger and more pissed off.
Lightning Greaves: A staple that probably doesn't need much explanation.
Mega Bombs
Exsanguinate: A game ender that can also be used just to get a second wind when all the lifeloss effects have got your count low.
Lands
Utility
Bojuka Bog: Is a auto-include in any black deck for me. So easy to just nuke a graveyard and it doesn't take up a spell slot.
Deserted Temple: Is here to support two of the most powerful lands in EDH, Gaea's Cradle and Cabal Coffers but it's also good with Mana Reflection and something like Ancient Tomb
Reliquary Tower: Combos with mass draw effects like Necropotence,Decree of Pain,Skullclamp and Regal Force very nicely.
Strip Mine:With stuff like Maze of Ith,opposing coffers and other nasty stuff lands running around I've found this card very valuable. And sometimes you can just mana screw somebody by blowing up a basic or two.
Volrath's Stronghold: Recursion that doesn't take up a slot. Sometimes you'll want to sac something like Primeval Titan or Regal Force to recast it with this land.
Wasteland:See Strip Mine but this only hits non-basics. But most of the time that's all you'll need.
Mana Vomitters
Cabal Coffers: A powerhouse of a mana producer that produces lots of mana when combined withUrborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth
Gaea's Cradle: With all the creatures and tokens this deck can vomit out this can get insane very fast.
These are cards on my radar but the main question is, what do I cut? Or am I better of with the current cards in the deck staying the way it is?
1 Cabal Conditioning
1 Deathcloud
1 Mind Twist
1 Myojin of Night's Reach
1 Painful Quandary
1 Triskelion (seems too cheap)
1 Wordly Tutor
1 Yawgmoth's Will
Survival of the fittest is a strong consideration right now but it would require removing a creature and another slot or two for reanimation effects since I'm using black. Maybe in the future.
3-8-12
Removed Phyrexian Arena
Added Syphon Mind
I found early game a lot of times I didn't have 1BB and I felt like I'd rather get a couple cards at once rather than wait a turn to break even, plus I get tokens from syphon.
Removed Ulamog, the Infinte Gyre
Added Sheoldred, Whispering One
I wanted to get a little more recursion and it's cheaper than Ulamog to cast. We'll see if she pans out.
3-9-12
Removed Helm of Possession
Added Contamination
Well I'm giving in to my inner spike and flipping this with Genesis Wave or just casting it after Nath is a pretty strong play.
Removed Sylvan Ranger
Added Priest of Titania
Removed Explosive Vegetation
Added Coalition Relic
These two changes were made to accommodate Contamination plus they're not bad options on their own.
Removed Syphon Mind
Added Sadistic Hypnotist
Again I gave in to my inner spike. This card rapes everyone's hands and gives me a bunch of tokens.
3-13-12
Removed Sakura-Tribe Elder
Added Sylvan Ranger
I like the fact I can get a land of Ranger then sac it to something else like Diabolic Intent for example, plus she's a elf so there's other synergies.
3-21-12
Removed Indrik Stomphowler
Added Wickerbough Elder
I did this to beef up the CMC4 slot on the Birthing Pod chain and I like the fact that if there's not a good target at the time he's cast I can use his ability later.

When I did a "friendlier" Nath, I found having some Elf Tribal was powerful without being obscenely oppressive.

For tokens, Awakening Zone, Squirrel Nest, Orochi Hatchery, and Snake Basket are all decent. You also have Khalni Garden.
Don't forget about Earthcraft!
Mono Red's Strengths and Mono White's Strengths
Those are some interesting options. Would earthcraft be any good without squirrel nest? I'm definitely not against powerful cards by any means,
I just didn't want to completely knock out everyone's hand early on.Painful quandary looks like something I'd be interested in.Thank You Rivenor/Miraculous Recovery Studios!

Probably Helm of Possession. It seems slow, random, and fragile. How useful has it been? Keep in mind, there's also Enslave.

Changed my mind. I'm douching it up!!!

Ardeyn
You know? I considered this card and I couldn't really think of what Elf I would want to grab with it. What do you usually grab? Is the tempo loss problematic?
I'm also considering Fierce Empath too. It's also an Elf so that's good too.
I've also considered this as well but I figured if really want to go that route why not just take them all out with Sad Hypnotist. I guess redundancy is good though.
I goldfished with this and it seemed like i didn't always have enough basics early game to make this most valuable when I want mana the most. How many basics do you run to make it worthwhile?
This is a card I've tried in the past and been disappointed with. Have you tried Phyrexian Reclamation? That's a card I've been thinking about using.

If you can get your hands on a Gaea's Cradle, I would do it. This deck loves it ;D
My list in my signature is quite old. Garruk, the Veil-Cursed might have a place in this deck as well.
BG Nath of the Gilt Leaf
I would replace Kamahl with Garruk. Not only do you get the trample ability, but you also get the potential for some nice mana generation and tokens.
Liliana of the Veil is even more amazing. In a good sized multiplayer game you could be generating significant tokens.
