This is the second Commander deck I ever made. Not highly competitive (e.g. no infinite combos, no Sol Ring and some cool but not inherently powerful cards), but it should be able to win. It is meant for both 1-vs-1 and multiplayer.
ObsoleteI'm sure that this deck needs some adjustments. Especially the land section is a work in progress. I'm running pretty much every colorless land that I own, according to the commander's color identity restriction, but I really need to get some of the better ones.Obsolete
I got almost all the good colorless lands that I want to run. And while there are a few quirkier cards left, the deck works and only needs some minor adjustments.
All in all, this deck has:
- Lots and lots of mana ramp.
- Some fun artifacts.
- Eldrazi!
I already have some plans for modifications, but have to get the cards first. If I am missing something or if I have cards on the inclusions list that just shouldn't go in, please tell me.
I was experimenting with an Eldrazi deck once, but came to find that people hate you off the table starting Turn 1. They see a big, scary general with lots of ways to get there, and often just kill you before you can actually affect the gamestate, regardless of how powerful the deck actually is.

Hm, haven't thought about this one. If that happens, I hope that the other players will realize that other decks with more innocent looking commanders can be just as deadly - or even deadlier! - than a seventh turn Ulamog. If this should become a real problem, I will use this deck mainly for duels.
In the future, I might take out one or two of the more gimmicky cards for more early defense or even more acceleration. Also, a few of the lands will be upgraded (at least I have to get rid of the two remaining Panoramas).
Hey, Lanxal. I have seen you a lot in the Commander forum lately. Working on some decks?
I've only played this deck in duels so far, mainly against my own Uril deck. Half the time, it was too slow, but sometimes it just ramps into a fat Eldrazi (mostly Ulamog) and annihilates the hell out of the opponent. I'll have to tinker with it a bit and add more acceleration and/or early defense, but all in all, it seems to work.
This will probably never be my most powerful deck, but at least it can stand its ground. Also, a 100% colorless 100 cards deck is kinda cool.
One of my friends is building an Ulamog deck. (after I built Karn, little bastard is just copying me)
Why no Sol Ring/Mana Vault?
I acctually like all 5 Panorama's in m Karn deck. They offer up search effects for my Sensei's Divining Top/Scroll Rack. Which is a bit more likely to happen than Cloudpost/Glimmerpost.

100% colorless decks are fun, so I can't blame him. And Karn and Ulamog decks have some differences. The big Eldrazi need plenty of slots for acceleration, while Karn can get away with running more fun artifacts in their place.
Until a week ago, I never owned a single Sol Ring in my life. Thanks to the Commander Precons, I have two now, but I'm still not sure if I include one. I hate those things. Seriously, facing one of them turn one is annoying in multiplayer and utterly ridicolous in duels (which I play quite often). So me not including Sol Rings in my decks is me living out my "Ban Sol Ring" attitude.

Uh, saccing a land solely for shuffling your deck doesn't sound so sexy. I rather play lands with occasionally useful abilities. M12 has another good colorless land (Burried Ruin).

I agree, it's not all that sexy. But there haven't been many times I wanted to give my creatures Protection from Artifacts or Deal one damage to a creature or player. Also cloudpost is only good if you get it with vesuva or glimmerpost. Otherwise it's just a bad CIPT land. A feat I've only been able to do in the late game when the mana wasn't all that important. But I have used the shuffling effect of the panorama's many times. While the effect isn't all that good, I think it's better than Rath's Edge, Tower of the Magistrate, and Cloudpost.
I can't wait for Burried Ruin. That card looks awesome (especially since we play crucible)

Rath's Edge is on the chopping block and will be replaced once a few more good colorless lands come around. Tower of the Magistrate is actually not bad, since you can use it on opposing creatures. Just make an attacker (or blocker) lose his Sword of X and Y midcombat... Cloudpost will never come out of the deck. It produces 2 on a regular basis. This may not be important with Karn as your commander, but with Ulamog, this is pretty important. I have three cards that ramp Cloudpost up: Glimmerpost, Vesuva and Expedition Map (for one of those lands). In 20+ games with this deck, I only had a full Urzatron once, but I had a 2 mana Cloudpost (or two) almost every time I drew him.
I can't wait for Burried Ruin. That card looks awesome (especially since we play crucible)
Yeah, I'm also pretty excited about this land. That's an awesome ability for colorless decks. And I haven't even thought about the applications it has with Crucible.
Does Bloodmoon, Magus of the Moon, and Back to Basics just make you wqant to cry? I hope, aside from anihilator, you have artifact enchantment destruction (honestly, too tired to look over entire deck list, does look fun, just wouldn't want a puney enchantment to to be a wet blanket...).
I dont think Blood Moon or Magus really hurts this much aside from shutting down the 2+ mana lands and making it a little slower. The whole deck is colorless so you can play all your spells. Anyways i think its an awesome deck, do you reliably cast ulamog early enough or have you thought of switching to kozilek?

Thanks. Ulamog costs only 1 more than Kozilek and I value the colorless Vindicate higher than drawing four cards, since a colorless has problems destroying certain kinds of permanents (see above). Also, being indestructible gets around roughly half the removal that's played in commander and lets me attack into any amount and size of blockers. Finally, I just don't like Kozileks picture and don't want to see him all the time.
Turn 4 Ulamog has happened, but he gets normally cast on turn 6 or 7. In a more casual environment, that isn't too slow. I won't deny that this deck is one of my weaker ones though.

Oblivion Stone, Nevinyrral's Disk and Spine of Ish Sah, as well as in some cases Ratchet Bomb and All Is Dust can take care of artifacts and enchantments. And let's not forget the big colorless Vindicate that sits in my command zone.
As PhyrexianRitual says, Blood Moon and Magus of the Moon are almost completely irrelevant against me. I've been lucky that I didn't encounter a Back to Basics so far... that card would probably wreck me.
