Godo, Bandit Warlord

I decided to convert my Kiki-Jiki deck into a Godo deck. Kiki is very dependant on having the General out to have any fun. It was also a land destruction build, which people HATE! So the only time it was winning everyone else on the board was waiting to smash me next game.

Anyway, Godo is a straight aggro EDH deck, which is a type I don't have. The conversion isn't that massive but I need to actually buy these cards now to convert. This is my theoretical build and I'm looking for some opinions before I spend the money.

I'm running 14 equipment right now and I still want to run more. I had to start restraining myself when I was at 111 cards.

The deathtouch equipment, Basilisk Collar and Quietus Spike are there to equip the Goblin Sharpshooter, Ronin Cliffrider, Kumano, Master Yamabushi or Shivan Hellkite. I would like to possibly add Gorgon Flail to make this a more consistent instant-death combo.


Another sub-theme I'm running is multiple combat phases. Godo himself gives you an extra when he attacks. I'm also running the original, Relentless Assault, Seize the Day, Savage Beating and Fury of the Horde. Hellkite Charger is great if you have a bunch of mana to sink into as well.

My General cost 6 the first time he comes out. I'm paranoid about not having enough mana available. Maybe too paranoid?


I want to run a mass amount of creatures to make use of all that equipment and to have targets for my opponets removal before Godo makes his way out.

I need 1 card removed from this. I have my top 2 but I want to see what other people think.

I would remove Argentum Armor. I know Godo tutors it onto the board, but I hate paying 6 to equip something. It's...awkward.

Also, why Relentless Assault? Just run the enchantment version(Aggravated Assault) since it's re-usable, and combo it with Sword of Feast and Famine to get infinite combat.

Aggravated Assault NICE. I didn't know about that. I think I'll actually remover Seize the Day for this since it targets and Godo always has Lightning Greaves on him.

I just added the Agentum Armor since red has issues removing pretty much all non-land permanents. It costs 6 but Godo does get 2 activations with it every turn.

Fair play, my personal choice of permanent removal is Spine of Ish Sah + Phyrexia's Core. 8 mana colourless Vindicate every turn. Chaos Warp is also an option. Plus, Spine is pretty okay by itself, I have no problem just hard casting it and running it out there.
