So I built a TT deck because the least two colors I play are Black and Red in EDH. At first it was a kill centered deck which revolved around wraths and ways to untap TT. I threw in a Boom/Bust for kicks. It actually worked quite well. I started exploring the LD options and shifted the deck to more LD as a way to "protect" my general. I've also noticed the Eldrazi are quite efficient at removing not only land, but also permenants that B/R could otherwise not remove (like enchantments-EAT that PRISON TERM on my general!). I've played this 1v1 and it's not fairing so well. In group games, people hate the LD so it gets teamed up on. So my question is: Am I trying to do too many different things?
Other cards I was debating on: Grim Harvest-sure it combos with Shriekmaw, but is it worth a slot? Anger-seems tough to kill this guy, barring a wrath effect. No one blocks it (although that does help if they're general doesn't have evasion). Phyrexian Gargantua-standard card draw + a body Grab the Reins-usually a 2 for 1 Detrivore-seems too slow, waiting a turn can be costly and sometimes I'd rather it be some kind of effect I can use right away. Aftershock-pretty resourceful, but I can only use it once.
I am currently in the making of Tsabo Tavoc. I really like this deck list a lot. I wouldn't want to find myself in a game VSing it. One thing I am doing different (which worked well with my Lyzolda deck) is Bloodstained mire + crucible of worlds. This will allow you a land drop each turn when you don't have your LD lands, also works well when you throw in valakut + vesuva + blood crypt/badlands into the mix. Just a little side tech that I like to surprise people with (maybe you don't want to play valakut because of all the LD though). If you end up modifying this deck let me know, I look forward to seeing it grow and what not.
