ok, so in playing I feel the deck is a little slow (though it still can pull through and win) and pretty weak against flying. I'm not sure I want to sacrifice cool abilities for flying. I like cards like island of wak-wak because it doesn't change my creature base too much. it's multiplayer and I usually play against savra, Queen of the golgari, Ghost Council of Orzhova, Jenara, Asura of War, and (sometimes) Sharuum the hegemon.

ghost council deck:
baneslayer angel, smogsteed rider, makeshift mannequin, reiver demon, liliana vess, mangus of the abyss, royal assassin, plaguewind, Aura of silence, F-ing NIGHTMARE INCURSION!!! (hate hate hate). ashling, the extinguisher, Treacherous urge, twighlight shepherd, Akroma, Angel of wrath, Cairin Wanderer, tons of "from graveyard into play, and tons of removal/sweepers.
Savra deck:
sac outlets galore, token generators galore, grave pact, doomgape, coat of arms, overrun, attrition, necrogenesis, morbid bloom, greater harvester, a bunch of "sac-to-pump creatures."
sharuum deck:
tutors up the wazoo. sword of the meek, thopter foundry, skullclamp, inkwell leviathan, darksteel, cheat into play artifacts, ethersworn canonist, vedalken shackles, inkwell leviathan, sen triplets, krark-clan ironworks, altar of dementia, time sieve, magister sphinx, tolarian academy, darsteel forge, genesis chamber, sculpting steel, braids, conjurer adept, meekstone

sooooo... any suggestions for cards that will help me out? a list of cards I should take out would be VERY helpful. I'm so bad at deciding that.
Cards like Woolly Thoctar and Ball Lightning aren't that good in EDH. The thoctar is just a vanilla turd, why have him if you can get a guy with a useful ability like Mycoid Shepherd. And ball lightning just doesn't seem like it would be useful because you only get one shot with him and since the life totals are higher, they don't pack quite the quick punch like they would in a regular constructed deck. Other than that, the only thing I don't much of is spot removal like Swords to Plowshares or Path to Exile or even the humble Lightning Bolt. Otherwise this looks fine enough, remember with Mayael, you want to try and get a guy every time you use her, so put enough pwr 5 guys in, mathematically that comes out to ~20 pwr 5 guys, so an absolute minmum should be 20 but try to go for more. Another good pwr 5 guy is Bogardan Hellkite, he's pretty dang good.
