If you use Rix Maadi (and you really should) it's basically the same principle - Lessen the options your opponent has to answer what you're doing. And they need to answer Liliana.
It's almost always best to use the -2 as soon as you drop liliana, to both protect herself and instantly begin the advantage she provides. Unless, of course, you're face to face with a swarm of dudes, in which case you should probably just blow them up with a sweeper. Anyways.
Remember that it's a planeswalker and you aren't forced to use the +1. If you have a two card hand and your opponent has a 6 card hand, don't use the +1 unless you're holding a land or a chrome mox or something. After first ensuring your lands are adequate, of course.
Drop her early. I firmly believe that Liliana is the best planeswalker next to jace, and the earlier she gets online and starts disrupting, the more difficult it will be for your opponent to recover. Liliana is literally the only planeswalker I fear when playing Geist.
If you have extra Kaalia targets in hand, you can discard those. Remember that you only need to resolve one Kaalia swing to end the game, anything extra is gravy and leaves you open to a wipe, effectively killing you. The only two guys you should be dropping with another fatty already on the board are Iona and Rakdos. I still think Avacyn sucks, and testing hasn't done anything to change my opinion of that.
If you get to the ultimate, make sure you use it as land destruction. Put everything in one pile that your opponent absolutely needs to survive, then put everything else in the other. If they go for the survive pile, keep ticking up as they just lost out on everything that lets them do anything BUT survive, then do it again. Following this strategy is how I use Liliana to turn a fairly unfavorable 43lands matchup into a strictly positive one, provided I resolve Liliana.
Reforge the Soul has negative synergy with your discard spells, so that may be a space to slot in the Inquisition in the future. Also, why Reforge but no Wheel of Fortune? Wheel is generally better except when top decked, so I can't help but feel if I'm gonna play one, I'll play the other one too.

I can agree on Wheel vs Reforge(I got my Wheel in a trade), but I think you either want the discard, and not Reforge, or vice-versa. If you keep Reforge, then cut the discard, add more reanimation, original Wheel(and The Jar), and maybe even Dragon Mage. But personally I think the discard will serve you better than the draw7s.
Yeah, price jumps are always a female dog. Similarly, I have a Crucible of Worlds from a lucky booster when I started, and that's now like $20 or w/e. /tangent
Why would you ever play Distress over Castigate? Same cmc, one exiles, and they both hit the same cards. And WB is gonna be easier to hit than BB because the early game you're still fixing colours anyway. In other words, if you would play Distress, you should already be playing Castigate.

Slotting in my Sword of Feast and Famine to at least act as a placeholder for Light and Shadow, if I can ever get one. Not sure what would actually be dropped for a Sword, though.
