i guess my list is lacking on the card draw =(
also, it's not as consistent because of the lack of tutors~
there are times my hand get choked full of mana ramp but nothing to do~
other times, i got to rely on my tokens for beatdown...
combo off is fun, but it usually require some setting up for me...
My list is definately sub-par... but i'm still having alot of fun with it...
i guess i would try to get more card drawing and better token producers
Just a warning though, if you usually play with friends for fun, your deck might be just as fun with some ways to beatdown like overrun-effects, as in the pure combo/LD version that should not be released upon an unsuspecting playgroup. Good luck with the deck
Sorry for not having much time for following this deck up lately. There are 3 cards that I will add but need help cutting the right cards, and 2 cards that might get added:
+ Joraga Treespeaker (Been testing this for some time now in the place of Sakura Tribe Elder, been satisfied so far)
+ Cultivate (Kodama's Reach nr. 2)
+ Primeval Titan (Fetch any two lands? Fetchable with creature fetchers? Any reason not to add?)
+ Growth Spasm (Kodama's Reach nr. 3)
+ Awakening Zone (Ramp and tokens, but too slow?)
Also:
- Channel (banned)
What ramp cards should be cut? I feel Sakura Tribe Elder is in trouble, and should at least be cutted for the Growth Spasm. Cut a land perhaps, or is 37 the right amount?
Personally, I'd avoid Awakening Zone, as it is rather slow and the lack of green-ness in the creatures is actually pretty annoying. I played it for a while and cut it for something else (I don't remember). I've also cut Rude Awakening from my list in favor of something quicker, as although it can produce stupid amounts of mana late game, I almost always mulligan it away in an opening hand for something more immediate. Maybe try the titan in it's place since they have simialar mana costs, but as you pointed out the titan can be tutored and cheated into play with Natural Order and company. My only concern about replacing Sakura-Tribe Elder with Joraga Treespeaker is that STE can go find red if you need it to. The lack of ability to consipire it is annoying sometimes, so maybe cut it for Growth Spasm or Cultivate?
That still isn't enough cuts to fit in all the cards you want . . . but the list is so tight I don't know what else can get axed. I don't run as many 1-drops as you do, how important are the mana Elves? Maybe cut one of them for Growth Spasm for conspire, mana fixing, and still popping out a token?
Alright, Its either I'm not getting the deck or I'm clearly missing something obvious. What is this combo kill that keeps getting referenced. I've read through most of the thread and the only thing that I notice is the singleton banefire that you can copy with wort for the win.
That being said currently I don't see the point in running ashnod's/phyrexian altar. Is this to simply allow yourself to cast multiple bombs in a turn? Remember if these add anything but tons of mana for a banefire let me know.
That being said why aren't you running more disruption. Pillage/Aftershock have been mentioned and should see play. I could argue that stone rain can see play as well. The way the deck appears to me is that it lays a mana elf into land destruction. Drops more LD. Then it proceeds to cast wort and accumulate Card advantage. This also helps a almost unwinnable match-up the combo match-up. Being R/G doesn't really give you many options for combo hate. Land destruction is one of your best bets of delaying their storm count or soulshift xD.
That being said like previously stated wasteland should be in the list.
Also Titan is clearly needed due to Natural Order, which merits wasteland to be ran.
I would also like to see another land to be ran.
Cards Like vexing shusher you explain are for the control matchup. You tend to tutor for them with worldly tutor and friends. But really why? Doesnt your deck beat control due to the amount of bombs that it tends to draw. You stop an opponent from gaining card advantage with you LD and then you try to kick them while their down.
Also Some ideas, such as a survival engine. Squee+ Survival is the best combo in RG. Maybe put it to use? You don't run to many creatures so this probually could be terrible.
I think Oracle would be better suited as a abusable sorcery or instant.
Also I've been supporting gamble for a very long time. I love the card but in 1v1 play it will win you a few games but really your better off running cards in numbers. In a deck with very little tutoring ability the best way to ensure consistancy is by running a certain percantage of cards (LD, CA, Token makers, Acceleration) to ensure you hit what you need. The gamble will simply cause a mini hymn to tourach, and maybe discarding the card you need.
But all in all if I'm missing this secret combo, I still emphazie that you should run more LD disruption at a minuimum.
To start with how this deck comboes off. You play spells that make tokens close up or more than the card's converted mana cost. When you conspire them and have for example Ashnod's Altar, Phyrexian Altar, Earthcraft or Gaea's Cradle in play, you gain mana for playing the spell. With cards like Regal Force, Collective Unconcious and Skullclamp you draw cards from the tokens as well. If you read the OP it's also explained there, the deck is described in detail there. Tokens becomes mana and cards, which becomes more tokens. You draw your entire library and play banefire for 40. The only combo deck in the format that this deck has a bad matchup against is Iname, as she can combo off faster and through most of our disruption. The other combo decks gets disrupted for a few turns until we are able to combo off, and decks like Azami is one of the best matchups this deck has.
As for your LD suggestions, I would love to have them in the deck, but the combo relies on "critical mass" in the form that one token producer have to draw into another one. There really ain't room for the suggestions you come with. If you have any tips for cards to cut I would appriciate that, as there are a ton of cards I'd like to have in the deck. The survival engine have been tested, but it doesn't fit this deck. It's too slow and also needs you to fill up the deck with some cards that are suboptimal on their own.
Gamble is there to tutor up combo pieces underway, and when you combo off you can get banefire with it if it's one of the last cards in library. You can also conspire it to get whatever you need + regrowth or eternal witness. This card i would have run a full playset of if that was legal
All in all, thanks for the suggestions. As you can see from reading through the thread there are many, many cards that should be in, the big problem really is cutting cards.
Im fighting in the EDH tourney with this deck, 2-0 in the first round over Hunter245's strong Godo deck. Wish me good luck in the next round, my goal is to finish as good as last time, in the semis.
What sorts of changes would you make to this deck for a multiplayer format? I'm interested in building something similar, but my playgroup never does 1v1. I'd assume that some of the pinpoint land destruction would be cut for something more splashy. Any suggestions?
You know, I played this deck a fair amount, but found myself forced to win rather quickly a lot. So often that I rarely ended up playing Wort out at all. She never really seemed necessary, and I'd usually combo out just fine without her. So I'm sort of running an experiment now but instead of Wort I'm running Nath of the Gilt-Leaf, so that I can ditch a lot of token producers for discard (to increase disruption in the deck). I mean with him in play Memory Jar makes 7 tokens. Stuff like Mind Twist is even more amazing. So far the deck is interesting, and Black's stack of tutors definitely adds some serious consistency.
Admittedly my deck list is quickly shifting to a lot of different cards (different ban list, and general), and a lot probably won't help you. However Saproling Burst might interest you. Admittedly you can't clone it with Wort, though it produces 6 tokens for 5. Or if your list happens to run Fecundity It says, "Hi, I'm a Draw 7." It took the place of Siege-Gang Commander in my list.
My new deck list amuses me, thanks for inspiring it. And once I've refined it, I'll share it for those interested.

It's a bad, bad idea to take out siege-gang as he is one of our few answers to Gaddock Teeg. Thanks for the input on the general though, what do you think of Radha?
Actually I kind of had to replace Siege-Gang since I'm running Nath, and can only use green and black cards. But really, I've got a stack of tutors and Malestrom Pulse for Teeg. I really only need him to die once so that I can go off.
As for Radha, she'd be okay. I mean it's a Llanowar Elf effect. But her RR only happens during combat. The list you have up doesn't run very many cards that can make use of it....
Sensei's Divining Top (The activated ability of it.)
Gamble
Chord of Calling
Artifact Mutation
Siege-Gang Commander (His activated ability.)
Slate of Ancestry (Again the activated ability.)
....So it seems a bit underwhelming. Admittedly if I did run her, I'd probably consider....
Yavimaya Elder in place of Hunting Wilds. Since her two mana can be used to activate it, and it generates 3 cards. Actually... I might add that to my G/B list anyway. Wilds has always seemed... horrible to me.
Also if Teeg is such a major problem, making your win condition Stormbind or having it as your second win condition wouldn't be so bad. I mean the deck easily draws the cards, and mana productions isn't exactly tough for the deck. Plus you can kill him as often as you like with it. Also does a fine job of picking on Clique.
I'd also be interested in testing out Fires of Yavimaya in the deck if she was in. Then my mana producing creatures can do so immediately, and token beatdown now becomes a viable win condition. Though this card could however be terrible, but hey I've got to have some odd ideas to test with a bottle of Vodka in hand.

It's also been very helpful as a poor-man's siege gang. If you've got some tokens out, you can use the bombardment to deal with decks revolving around a bunch of little creatures that do a lot of really annoying things. Also, it's a way to just win on the spot out of nowhere...which is what you really need to be able to do here.
Grats on the success in the tournament. Did you add any secret tech to the list before the tournament / do we get to see an update after its finished or has not alot changed?
No, just a little M11 update that is the best inclusion since Avenger of Zendikar Have some ideas now though from the playing, will update with new decklist after the tourney.
Have been busy lately and computer down, so therefore no update yet. Taking a look at Scars of Mirrodin I have some thoughts on the cards that we might consider putting into this deck:
Genesis Wave: Seems like a really powerful card, but it will probably not be that good in this version of the deck. In the LD-light version and for multiplayer however I can imagine conspiring this might be fun
Myr Battlesphere: Does something similar to Avenger of Zendikar, but worse and with colourless tokens.
Prototype Portal: Nah, most likely not, too vulnerable and too few targets. Won't do anything good.
Or even 2011? Decklist doesn't seem to have Primeval Titan, which should be a fairly natural fit for this deck.

I dont see Decimate on your list, or in any card cuts. I am surely going to pick it up for my decklist, but i was wondering why you dont play it.
Given that this is a 1v1 deck, chances are, when you do have Decimate there may not be enough legal targets. Remember, to play Decimate, you must have at least one artifact, one creature, one enchantment and one land that you can target (they may be the same card but you must have one of each type regardless). It is not unthinkable for you to be short of at least one targets (say, enchantment) in many, many situations.
In multiplayer games, this card is awesome but in 1v1 play....
i am using in my wort the raidmother EDH deck all token generators ( mainly for multiplayer EDH so high casting cost is no problem ) Eldrazi monument is for indestructible tokens ( lose 1 token) cauldron of souls is for board wipe stalking vengeance for board wipes
As for New Phyrexia, Beast Within is the only worthy card for inclusion, but a great one at that. It's an answer to Teeg and also contributes to our LD package. I feel that a card you can cut for it is Saproling Symbiosis, albeit a good token producer somewhat a win-more card.
Stranglehold is probably a too narrow hate card, but the ooze on the other hand seems very promising as a hate bear like Vexing Shusher. As a creature it is so easy to tutor up that you have access to it almost every game. Testing is needed to find if it is sufficient against decks like Iname and other reanimators. Possible cuts is one of the pure land destruction spells.
Other suggestions:
As addressed by others, Decimate is online to few times. Although a powerful card, too narrow.
Urabrask and Vorinclex doesn't do much for any of our plans.
Fresh Meat, so I have to have mana up, this in hand and they have to wrath. It will still not be backbreaking, and I'd rather have a powerful spell as comeback.
Noxious Revival is subpar in comparison to other cards we don't run. Nonconspirable
I really hate Genesis Wave for Wort...I mean, what are you going to hit with a G-Wave for 20 that you cant just get with another token generator or get through having another disruption spot....I mean, what are you going to do...hey guys g-wave for 20 then flip 5 lands and 14 sorceries and 1 mana elf? I love love G Wave dont get me wrong, but I really really dont think it fits in Wort.
Also, call me crazy, but I dont think this deck needs or wants Primeval Titan. To be honest more often than not he is just a really really bad version of Reap and Sow. There are so many ways to get specific lands as is and I cant think of many times at all that Id rather Natural order or Tooth and Nail out P Titan over Avenger/Regal Force unless ive already got those out and at that point I should have won or be winning anyways. Hardcasting titan competes with your Wort Drop as well which is pretty ugly.
Wort needs to strongly prioritize the spells over any creatures whenever the creature isnt just obviously much much better, and Titan isnt that much better than the other options here. I also think in this light that Siege-Gang commander is fairly bad here. He makes some tokens..red ones at that, but I usually find myself hunting down basic forests as much as possible and it seems like the only time I actually get Commander out is from a Tooth and Nail...but unless youve already played 2 of the following: kiki jiki, avenger, deranged hermit, regal force or acidic slime, then he is a pretty bad option. To be honest id rather run Hornet Queen so I can at least Natural Order for another token option.
The other card that I really like, but understand that it might be questionable is Fresh Meat. Board Wipes are to some extent an issue at least in my meta (basically peoples best bet at beating me here is an early wrath effect) and while leaving a few mana open for Fresh Meat can be sub optimal it can also easily turn a tough spot into a very easy win if the wrath kills enough dudes. On top of the wrath protection you can also use it to double your mana with the altars and cradle while at the same time giving you a next turn win condition via the beats plan. It even makes blocking an opposing titan with 6 tokens extreemly profitable. You can turn a few creatures into a win with Goblin Bombardment out and it makes skullclamping a bunch of tokens even more amazing than it already was. I always wanted Caller of the Claw to actually work and with an instant version which gives us even bigger dudes there are a lot of possibilities here. The card deserves more thought and could be at least a very strong meta call depending on what you play against. The card is more usefull than ONLY board wipe protection, it allows for a lot of tricks, the combo potential here isnt bad at all. On the fence here, but it seems better than many think.
While I realize the potential downsides of this card, I also realize that this is removal of anything in colors that are a bit short on "real" removal....its a solid "tuck" card that handily gets rid of a number of things red/green might sometimes otherwise struggle with. Heck it even doubles as LD to add to the list. I vote yes!
also, it's not as consistent because of the lack of tutors~
there are times my hand get choked full of mana ramp but nothing to do~

EDIT: Almost forgot Chaos Warp.....
While I realize the potential downsides of this card, I also realize that this is removal of anything in colors that are a bit short on "real" removal....its a solid "tuck" card that handily gets rid of a number of things red/green might sometimes otherwise struggle with. Heck it even doubles as LD to add to the list. I vote yes!
