Chandra, Torch of Defiance - Oops! All Chandras.
Prime Speaker Zegana - Draw for Power.
Pir & Toothy - Counterpalooza.
Arcades, the Strategist - Another Brick in the Wall.
Zacama, Primal Calamity - Calamity of Double Mana.
Edgar Markov - Vampires Don't Die.
Child of Alara - Dreamcrusher.
I have seen it do some interesting things with the newly printed Evolution Sage and Flux Channeler but nothing that overwhelming, seems rather easy to keep in check and deal with whenever I see the card.
Anyone have any experience with broken plays with simic ascendency?
I've seen it once, and it was so underwhelming, it sort of surprised me to see the card featured here. Thoughts?
I put it in my Reyhan, Last of the Abzan deck. Only broken with Doubling Season... I can sacrifice my Ishai, Ojutai Dragonspeaker... let's say with 6 counters on it, put 12 on another creature, which puts 24 on Simic Ascendancy.
Without Doubling Season... I can force a win - Sacrificing a chain of creatures, transferring the counters down the chain. But then if someone kills Ascendancy I have no more board.
Usually these kinds of board states end the game very quickly, so I am not convinced it isn't just a win-more kind of card most of the time.
Played in in my Pir/Toothy deck and once it hit the table, a few moments later the game was over. Was extremely un-fun for everyone. It's a card that is on the same level as Sorin Markov and Magister Sphinx. They're not banned and shouldn't be, but in the spirit of EDH, you shouldn't play it if you want to keep your friends.

Legacy - Solidarity - mono U aggro - burn - Imperial Painter - Strawberry Shortcake - Bluuzards - bom
I've won more often with Darksteel Reactor and Helix Pinnacle.
Make of that what you want.
