My desert island album is "The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars" by David Bowie. Still one of the best full albums of all time.
I'm fine with the current state of fast mana in the format right now.
What low cost combo enablers are you talking about specifically?
Things like Food Chain, Flash, and Doomsday that combo with one or fewer other cards to win the game, particularly if the card combos with something in the command zone.
I'm fine with most combos as long as they make the game end.
I'm in the same boat more or less, I just prefer combo to have more hoops to jump through so that their winning turn comes later so that other decks have more time to interact with the combo player to disrupt them.
My disdain for Avacyn comes from the same place as my disdain for Iona in that she can basically lock out some mono-color decks from ever doing anything meaningful against that player again. How does mono-red get rid of Avacyn? They can't. Avacyn leads to unfun game states and limits interaction to the point where I feel that she's bad for the format.
Cool. I don't completely agree with it, but I definitely see where you're coming from.
I did run Burn from Within for a while. It's bad, yet available. Hour of Devastation doesn't come with enough damage, but would work combined with additional damage on the same turn. Chaos Warp exists, too.

Various ways to deal with avacyn in monored, mostly from the top of my head.
Chaos warp, warp world, stingscourger, decree of annihilation, aligned hedron network, brittle effigy, duplicant, helvault, and scour from existance.
Edit: nearly forgot about All is Dust
you forgot apocalypseand I'd also like to see worldfire come off the bl..but i also run the aformentioned apoc as part of a barren glory wincon
Could you expand a bit on your thoughts behind Avacyn and why you feel she is unhealthy enough to be on your radar?

First, thanks for the communication here, it is appreciated.
You can also play Krenko, go infinite tokens, then Burn at the Stake for a zillion damage to face.
Or you play Purphoros and a zillion damage to face.
If you are playing Daretti, you can use Duplicant on her. Or Brittle Effigy, or Tawnos' COffin, or artifact sources of removal.
I don't see Avacyn as an issue, she is too slow and essentially casual as a Commander. The only time she is an issue around here is off the Mardu angel, Kaalia of the Vast I think. That's because turn 2-3 Avacyn with tutors for Geddon is a bigger issue. I mean, I won't complain if it gets banned, it would just be super puzzling. Same with Iona. I have a mono-G commander deck and Iona would juse be met with "*Shrug, Ulamog the Ceaseless Hunger, give haste, etc."
Overall though, I get what you're saying. I just disagree a little (vehemently).
Edit: Heavens yes, take stuff like Worldfire and Biorhythm and Coalition Vic off the list. Those cards are molasses slow in this format.

The "Crazy One", playing casual magic and occasionally dipping his toes into regular play since 1994.
Currently focusing on Pre-Modern (Mono-Black Discard Control) and Modern (Azorious Control, Temur Rhinos).
Find me at the Wizard's Tower in Ottawa every second Saturday afternoons.

That's gonna be a please hell no from me dawg. If you want me to prove to you that it's not hard to consistently win on turn 5 with any of those three cards then gimme a bit and I'll cook up something. More importantly, all three of those interact horribly with the format and invalidate anything that happened prior to the point of them being cast, so...god no.

My Commander decks:
Chandra, Torch of Defiance - Oops! All Chandras.
Prime Speaker Zegana - Draw for Power.

Edgar Markov - Vampires Don't Die.
Child of Alara - Dreamcrusher.
I hope the CAG will be discussing the BaaC list. I think it would really benefit the format. It will also make any discussions about making all planeswalkers commanders less focused on what would need to be banned as a result. Tezzeret the Seeker doesn't need to be in the command zone.
I also think that cards like Arcum Dagsson and Derevi would need to be considered for this list, as per Sheldon's article on theoretically bringing back BaaC. I think it would allow Leovold to get back into the format, as well as others like Braids.
BaaC is a very versatile tool and the benefits of having it grossly outweigh any negative issues.

C is always an option and comes with All is Dust, Duplicant, Karn Liberated, Ugin, the Spirit Dragon, Perilous Vault, Scour from Existence and others.
On top of that Avacyn, Angel of Hope is an 8-drop...
I understand your reasoning, but don't find the card anything near problematic.
