Happened to me just last weekend. I was running a Mono-White Good Stuff deck with Heliod, God of the Sun as my Commander while my opponents were running Tergrid, God of Fright a.k.a. "God of Salt", Rootha, Mercurial Artist, and Nevinyrral, Urborg Tyrant as their Commanders. So I have Esper Sentinel on the battlefield and right when the Roona player bounces Tergrid to it's owners' hand with his first noncreature spell I ask him to pay a mana or allow me to draw a card with Esper Sentinel's ability. So instead of paying the mana for Esper Sentinel or allowing me to draw a card off of his ability, the Rootha player flips me off and tells me to go f**k myself because he hadn't slept for 24 hours feeling it was justified to take his anger out on me when I wasn't as much of a threat as the Tergrid player stealing all our permanents whenever we're forced to discard or sacrifice permanents. I was like, "What the hell man!?!"
I think he was also frustrated that out of all the Commander games we played together that when someone managed to combo off for a win that I was never able to draw into a removal spell or an ability to control the board state especially since I'm always tapped out on mana most of the time anyway. For the times that I was able to have answers in hand it didn't make much of a difference anyway since combo players always have first priority no matter what goes on the stack first. I think the main issue is that players don't run enough ways to draw through their decks in this format where If they splash in tutoring it only slows the process down rather than accelerating it the way it should. Mono-White unfortunately has to rely more on colorless sources for card advantage such as Sandstone Oracle rather than actual White cards that get the job done like Mentor of the Meek for example.

I've had it happen a couple of times. It seems to usually be when someone is having a bad time anyway and its just a straw that broke the camel's back kind of thing. I don't have a play group outside of an LGS and I have come to realize that some people just get too serious or can't handle it if they are the one getting disrupted when they are ahead. For example one of the people at my LGS is a combo-ish player and gets really upset when someone interrupts her plans when the pieces of her win-con start coming together. Since there usually aren't many people looking to jump in/out of PODs, who ever made the mistake of preventing her from winning finds themselves targeted beyond reason the next round. I've seen her focus so hard on punishing someone that she loses the round just from wasting all her resources. At this point most of the regulars know and expect this so they either try and avoid PODs with her or know to pull out something strong if they are “it”.
If your salty guy makes a regular habit of that kind of thing you may find you may just need to adjust your thinking/play to deal with him. You may also find you are not the only one that doesn’t like playing like that and gravitate to those folk. If possible that is, sometimes its luck of the draw who’s at the store.
Couple weekends after we kinda had somewhat of another similar situation (though not as salty) where my friend who ran Tergrid was running an Izzet deck that just so happened to win on turn 7 with Laboratory Maniac which I tried to exile with Swords to Plowshares though sadly he had a Force of Will in hand to stop me and the Roona player casting Archive Trap for free which sadly didn't amount to much. If I had a Void Mirror it would've been enough to stop the Izzet player from winning since he wouldn't have been able to counter my Swords to Plowshares with his Force of Will since he'd be casting it for free anyway.
Some players just have a tendency to build EDH / Commander decks with cEDH in mind with all the fast mana rocks and acceleration that goes along with it. Whether If that's good or bad for the format is anyone's guess. I just know that Wizards of the Coast needs to print more cards like Void Mirror in the future that actually punishes players for free casting which has also been a prominent problem in Standard for years now. Remember Golos, Tireless Pilgrim and Aetherworks Marvel with Emrakul, the Promised End? Pepperidge Farm remembers. I'm just glad I wasn't playing Standard back when Aether Revolt and Eldritch Moon were still legal.

I pissed a guy off last weekend. It wasn’t that I was trying to just piss him off, but I knew the deck he was using and he was the over dog. Through a crazy combination of things including doing “planes chase” I had 25 power on the board and ready to swing on turn 3. I sent it all at him. He was very salty for the rest of the game. However the game ended up being very close after that. He eventually won, but having to conserve his life allowed the rest of us to be in contention the whole time. Later as everyone was leaving we were all talking and he admitted it was the right move but it still sucks taking a hit like that so early. I think saltiness is just going to happen sometimes. Especially if people are trying to play power levels that approach cEDH.
In my last Commander game running Chatterfang, Squirrel General I managed to piss off the same person from earlier (because I was running Chatterfang as my Commander) except this time he was running Heliod, Sun-Crowned as his Commander. Eventually the 4 player pod came down between me and him where the game itself ended up in a draw due to The Book of Exalted Deeds from him pulling it out of a D&D: Forgotten Realms Pre-Release Pack. He finally got his revenge on me so it's fair game. Kinda had another Commander deck I wanted to build that's on the back burner since I got other projects to take care of one of which involving a discontinued Trading Card Game / Collectible Card Game that me and my friends used to play.
