See title. I've played a Sek'Kuar, Deathkeeper land deck for a while, using land animation and mass destruction like Jokulhaup to eliminating all threat but with my tokens remain. Before that, I had Yasova Dragonclaw land stealler deck.
Do people have other thoughts on who might be a good land commander, yet NOT land related?
Haha, I do love both commanders, Noyan being the oddball Zendikar merfolk who deal with lands is definitely refreshing. Ramos, Dragon Engine is probably doable as a land commander as well, if not green inclined.
My lands deck was helmed by Yidris, Maelstrom Wielder, but I've since upgraded to Golos, Tireless Pilgrim. Golos retains a free casting ability, but also has an impactful etb trigger. A very satisfying upgrade

Wait, I'm confused. You said explicitly NOT land related in the OP. In what sense are noyan and golos not land related?
Although also I wonder why NOT land related if you want a land deck?
I've been really enjoying my Thrasios 98 land decks (with bruse).
Also ya, i've been toying with the idea of making a vial smasher deck and ramp seems to be an appropriate theme as more ramp = bigger spells = Bigger Triggers

I was expressing my adoration for Noyan and Golos. Especially Noyan. :3 A lot of people complained about its color, believed that it should have green in it, but I appreciate unconventional commander who fits the lore and with abilities inside its color pie.

The end purpose is to look for unique ideas, I personally enjoys challenging myself mentally. Mono-red used to be my least favorite, so I started a thread long time ago asking people for advice on how to build one, now it's one of my favorite color pie. It's always fun to exceeds expectations, including my own. In your case, most people mistaken Phelddagrif merely as a group hug commander, you've proven that's not the case, surely that brings certain satisfaction?
The aforementioned Sek'Kuar deck for example works wonderfully with animated lands in an unexpected way, which makes it a lot more stimulating to design and play right. Another deck I saw involving Thantis, the Warweaver, utilizing animate lands and landfall tokens to win a war of attrition. I want more ideas like these.
A decent amount of time ago, I wanted to build a few decks around some fog engines, one of which being centered around Glacial Chasm.
I started off with Marath, Will of the Wild, so that I could use Sunforger in the deck as well, but that deck was trying to do too many things, and got split in half, with the land package getting pulled out, and going to Trostani, Selesnya's Voice. Marath was going to keep the Sunforger, so red wasn't as highly needed in the Land deck anymore, and I knew that there were a few cards I wanted to keep: Crucible of Worlds, Knight of the Reliquary, and Exploration effects.
All of these land drops led to good interactions with Landfall abilities, and it turns out that a lot of landfall abilities make token creatures. Trostani worked well to populate those creatures, and the lifegain came full circle to the original idea of buffering the life to pay for Glacial Chasm and stalling for time, so it was a perfect fit.
There are a few decks archetypes that I revist and rebuild in new forms frequently, such as Voltron decks (sometimes with unusual Commanders), and I think Lands is an archetype I'd like to revisit more frequently. Most recently I've looked at Golos, Tireless Pilgrim as a potential Maze's End enabler (though he's obviously more land centric), but I've previously considered Zacama, Primal Calamity to hit some of the lands in a big-mana sort of way, with possibly some scapeshift/Prismatic Omen/Valakut shenaniganry.

How did your Yasova Dragonclaw land stealer deck work? Curious as I have a Yasova Dragonclaw but not yet quite found a way to make the deck work.

What Bob said, I got the idea while playing my Sek’Kuar. Reanimating land allows one to apply creature tricks into lands, which includes stealing them, damaging them, and bounce them (as creature). Cards like Seismic Assault let you discard extra lands to kill their lands, then replay via green’s usual land utilities.
And, by turning lands to creatures, they gain summoning sickness, which could be negated by having haste enabler on your side. Animated-lands are also capable of equipping.
I play a Meren of Clan Nel Toth lands deck. It's pretty similar to a gitrog list, but I wanted the ability to recurr eternal withness to get back artifacts and enchantments. I've also got a creatureless freyalise deck that combos off with nim deathmantle, ashnod's altar, and animated lands. It's playing Primal surge to get the setup.

Golos, Tireless Pilgrim can fetch the land(s) you want but win without them as well. Though a lot faster with the big mana lands, duh.

From there, some additional big token, landfall, and land-matters cards were added, such as Grove of the Guardian, Ulvenwald Hydra, Tilling Treefolk, Séance, etc... and the deck was made!
