Quote from MRdown2urth »I cannot reach www.mtgnexus.com on either Chrome or IE.
EDIT: Must just be my work computer as I can see on my phone.
Can you guys please give a very brief explanation on what this site is? Does Salvation still exist through Magic Find? Is Nexus separate?
Quote from ilovesaprolings »So we basically have two mtg salvation right now, or something like that?
I haven't fully understood this whole situation...
The main differences between the websites is that the staff are now able to try all-sorts of different functionality within the MTGNexus website, where as they weren't able to do much at all with Salvation as they didn't actually own it and were limited with what they could try.
MTGNexus is just going to get better and better overtime with new features and functionality, where as Salvation is going to remain stagnate and realistically go backwards, because the staff who were maintaining the website here are now working on Nexus.
Maybe Salvation will get some new staffers to move things forward, but realistically that is unlikely due to the limitations that are already there.
MTGNexus really is a gift to Magic enthusiasts.
Quote from Tiro of Meletis »Having both sites feels a bit awkward, since I expected MTGS to be closing down. I joined Nexus and really like it though. I'll contribute to both sites and hopefully one of them sticks. Any idea on which site WOTC or the EDH committee will frequent? I like using these communities to voice opinions in the hopes someone is reading.
Quote from osieorb18 »Not only is it more convenient to stay, but I found the font and UI of Nexus to be miserable on PC, and only tolerable on mobile. Some of the people who made this site a good location are following the staff to Nexus, unfortunately. But given the attitude of the new owners so far, I am holding out hope that MTGS will have more continued support and possibly better features than Nexus. It could be that Nexus looks terrible because it's still in development, and the aesthetic nightmare will change. But currently I'm staying with the devils that I know.

Quote from Onering »If you already have an account here you just register there? There's nothing special you have to do to verify?
Quote from cyberium_neo »I'm sure it's legal to advertise new forums in this forum, but it still feels kind of wrong. You could've advertise this on EDHREC, which I'm sure many of us visit anyway, at least then it would be a neutral ground for people to pick and decide. Posting it here, alongside with a negative outlook, you're actively contributing to the "last gasp" by luring people away, while benefiting your new home.
