Hello all im thinking makeing a first sliver commander deck. I was wondering about cascade when exactly can someone respawn to me cascadeing?. Is it once im all done putting them onto the stack or one at a time they get to respawn?. Was watching command zone about stack and thing called holding priority that why im asking. If you can clear it up that be great tym
This should be in the Rulings forum. Not only is that the correct location, but you will get a response much faster. And you should use card tags when asking questions about specific cards:
The way this works is that Cascade is a cast trigger. Which means, as soon as you cast the spell with Cascade, the Cascade trigger goes onto the stack. Players can *respond* at this point if they want to do something prior to the Cascade trigger resolving. If they let it resolve, Cascade will find the first appropriate card and you can cast it if you want. Players can then respond to this as well. When that spell resolves or otherwise leaves the stack, players can then respond to the original spell that caused the Cascade in the first place since it is still on the stack.
Holding priority is similar but not really relevant. Holding priority is, generally, just when you want to respond to your own spell or ability. If you do that here, you can put something else on the stack if you want, but that won't prevent others from responding when you pass priority. And you need to pass priority for anything on the stack to resolve.
