Basicly you chose a creature type then the chosen type cost WUBRG less and get +1/+1
This is basicly a any tribal legend many people have Ben waiting for
(And also part of 99 for these decks involving tribal https://www.edhrec.com/commanders/wubrg)
So what creature type would you brew this this dude
Elementals seem to be the best with this, since it also reduces the Evoke cost on many of them. Though, traditional Eldrazi could ramp up quick enough for Morophon to come out, then it could reduce the cost of all Devoid eldrazis, and buff all drones and scions.
EDIT: Also let you play spells of all colors alongside colorless eldrazis, which the titans wouldn't allow.
First thing I thought is this is perfect for that rainbow devoid eldrazi commander people have been wanting.
In general tho I just love this since now any tribal deck now can have a commander and in general Morophon will useful in any tribe.

“There are no weak Jews. I am descended from those who wrestle angels and kill giants. We were chosen by God. You were chosen by a pathetic little man who can't seem to grow a full mustache"
"You can tell how dumb someone is by how they use Mary Sue"
In another thread, I commented that Shamans, Humans, and Spellshapers are all viable candidates. None of them currently have good commanders to lead their tribe, and they are spread out among enough colors that it makes some sense to have a 5-color option for your general. Either way you go, I think you need a tribe that at least wants to be heavy green so that you can a)ramp up to the 7 mana needed to cast Morophon, the Boundless, and b) be able to sufficiently fix your mana for the times that Morophon isn't on the battlefield or for your non-tribal spells. With that in mind, I think Shamans and Humans have enough payoffs and are sufficiently green to make a lot of sense.
There's probably some potential for a super janky cheerios style combo deck here. Unless I screwed up my search, there are 962 EDH legal cards that can be cast for free with Morophon down (for anyone else curious, it's motly 1 drops. Only 225 of those are CMC 2+). Of those, 316 are humans. I haven't gone through in depth, but I'm guessing there are 40-50 that you wouldn't be laughed out of the room for playing. That means you could run a critical mass of humans with no colorless component to their mana costs along with cards like Guardian Project and Glimpse of Nature to storm off, while still having a decent creature gameplan when you weren't comboing. You can also run Cream of the Crop, which combined with the anthem effect on Morophon will help lower the number of misses.
I checked a couple other common creature types like elf and cleric and most of those only have 60-70 creatures that fit the criteria. This probably works with those too but you're going to end up a lot more restricted in what you can run. The big selling point for cleric would be the ability to run Edgewalker for some redundancy, which is probably not enough of a reason. I suspect this would be a pretty bad deck no matter how you build it, but it's something different than just building with the usual tribal suspects.
Here's my search if anyone else wants to tweak it. The formatting is breaking the link tags and fixing it sounds like a pain:
Maybe 5 color elementals? Animar, Soul of Elements could be super strong in the 99. it covers the cost reduction for generic mana and It can get huge fast.
I think Moro is going to be a lot of fun, both in good stuff and tribal. (We already established a game ender with Gravecrawler, ETB damage and a sac outlet. I'm looking for room for my Dragon deck. I can already reduce the cost to just the colors. and now this guy can reduce colors. He is a dragon, AND he can make my commander almost free.
Most particually Herald of Kozilek since he can he can help reduce the generic cost and almost all the eldrazis would end up being cast as if they were in a kozilek, the great distortion deck and this guy is also colorless
As Ryperior already noted, Herald of Kozilek is a good card for Morophon...but there's quite a lot of cards he benefits from actually, such as Ugin, the Ineffable, Eye of Ugin, Goreclaw, Terror of Qal Sisma...basically if you're paying 7 for him, you're doing something wrong.
Speaking of cost reduction, in a dragon deck, Dragonspeaker Shaman does double duty with him...

My Commander decks:
Chandra, Torch of Defiance - Oops! All Chandras.
Prime Speaker Zegana - Draw for Power.
Pir & Toothy - Counterpalooza.
Arcades, the Strategist - Another Brick in the Wall.
Zacama, Primal Calamity - Calamity of Double Mana.
Edgar Markov - Vampires Don't Die.
Child of Alara - Dreamcrusher.
Well people have Ben asking for 5 color angels all because of Maelstrom Archangel (which is a freebie spell with this any tribal you want legend)
It would reduce the cmc of several angels immensly
It's a pretty mediocre stop gap for Angel tribal however, as somebody who has an Angel deck. Most of the angels are mono-colored, meaning that the cost of them would be reduced by one colored mana. Whoop whoop. Dragons get this from the commander zone (The Ur-Dragon).
Use ur dragon as that means that your dragons are always reduced by at least 1. Run Moro in the 99. I wouldrather have a permanently redced cost than have one that may not benefit me all teh time. i have to first cast moro, and hope he makes a full trip around the table. Plus, say you have 10 mana, well you can cast moro (Reduced by one so he is six) and then 4 mana for ur-dragon.
Then again my dragon deck is heavily optomized, so maybe it is just better for me, where as your strategy will work for you.
Most slivers become free quite quickly. combos with things like dormant sliver and hibernation sliver to draw tonnes of cards. I think it's going to be a fairly boring deck though. You're going to go off once, and then every game after that's gonna feel the same.
By the way, how does this interact with horde of notions? it doesn't allow us to cast any elementals from the grave for free, right, 'cuz it's an ability that plays stuff for free, not the cost of actually playing stuff?
Read the card again. It doesn't make creatures cost WUBRG, it makes them cost WUBRGless than they already do, e.g. Goblin Marshal now costs 4R. (Colored cost reduction doesn't reduce colorless costs.)

Card advantage is not the same thing as card draw. Something for 2B cannot be strictly worse than something for BBB or 3BB. If you're taking out Swords to Plowshares for Plummet, you're a fool. Stop doing these things!

Right. Horde isn't giving you an alternative cost, it's an ability that lets you cast for free. No interaction with Morophon's reduction.

Morophon combos with Fist to play any creature of the chosen type for free because cost reductions are applied after alternative costs.

3) "Unifiying Commander": Most notably Dinosaurs, Horses, Gods, and Eldrazi. These folks seem like they are better off not in 5-colors and the decks will be more casual, but I know people are excited.
4) "Changeling Lord Tribal": Morophon is a MUCH better "Changeling Tribal" Commander than The Reaper King, and I foresee at least some decks running him with all the changelings and all the lords for a massive hodgepodge army.

Legacy - Solidarity - mono U aggro - burn - Imperial Painter - Strawberry Shortcake - Bluuzards - bom
Read the card again. It doesn't make creatures cost WUBRG, it makes them cost WUBRG less than they already do, e.g. Goblin Marshal now costs 4R. (Colored cost reduction doesn't reduce colorless costs.)
On phasing:
Morophon combos with Fist to play any creature of the chosen type for free because cost reductions are applied after alternative costs.
1) "Cheerio Combo": As noted, Humans get down to a ton of 0-drops real quick which can allow you to chain off with Guardian Project, Cream of the Crop, Earthcraft, Vanquisher's Banner, and Glimpse of Nature before you kill with Kessig Malcontents or Impact Tremors or some random storm spell. I think Elves are also workable too just because it's so powerful to make all the 1-mana dork elves cost 0 (and then you get the added bonus of 0-mana Coiling Oracle, Radha, Heir to Keld, Leovold, Emissary of Trest, and other such cards. Zombies are also a strong possibility due to the synergy of Gravecrawler + Wayward Servant + any sacrifice outlet allowing an instant win (and having a ton of redundancy).
2) "Big Dumb Tribal" Commander: Also as noted, Angels are lacking a 5 CMC commander and this suddenly makes several powerful angels either free or nearly-free (Lightning Angel, Jenara, Asura of War, Maelstrom Angel, Atraxa, Praetor's Voice. Morophon may also be a better commander than The Ur-Dragon, Horde of Notions, and O-Kagachi, Vengeful Kami, for those respective tribes because of how powerful the discount is as well as some comboes within those tribes once things start costing 0. I'm not convinced it replaces Najeela, the Blade Blossom or Sliver Overlord/The First Sliver in THOSE tribes, but you never know.
