Quote from BaronCappuccino »In a strategy dedicated towards leaving opponents emptyhanded, the inclusion of symmetrical card draw raises eyebrows.
Quote from Dragonlover »How are you breaking the symmetry on Descent into Madness? Without a constant stream of tokens to help buffer the exile I feel like you probably end up worse off than the rest of the table, but maybe I'm missing something.
Quote from materpillar »This deck seems really weird to me. I have a hard time imagining it doing good in my area. Purely because its win-conditions are slow and they kill people in a way that is highly annoying. For example Painful Quandary is super strong, but I've found cards like that rapidly turn the game into archenemy until you're dead.
Also, I assume there isn't many super-friends decks in the metagame because this deck looks extremely weak against planewalkers.
Crucible of Worlds. I mean you're running Smallpox.
Mindslicer. You want everyone with no hands, this does that.
I don't understand Venser's Journal. I feel like its to help cover the life loss from your general. Yet, you're also running Null Brooch.
Quote from toctheyounger77 »I won't suggest creatures as that seems to be the theme, which I dig - restriction breeds creativity, and if you want creatureless that's fine by me (although all the enchantments would tempt me to add Doomwake Giant). Is that often an issue for you though? If so, you could always include some ways to get chump blockers - Bitterblossom seems great here for that, or Dreadhorde Invasion if you can't the afford the superior original. Even Zombie Infestation gives you something to keep your life totals up. Or you could just run Darkness, Thaumatic Compass and such. Compass could be really good here actually, as a ramp and as a second Maze.
Patron of Orochi and Verdant Sun's Avatar seem poor to me. I don't think 8 mana is good for ramp and I don't think a 7 mana 5/5 that gains 5 life will ever be good enough. I feel like you would be better off with Beast Whisperer and with more ramp. If you really want life gain, then I think something like Loxodon Warhammer would be good... since it also lets you trample.
I noticed no sol ring and no Elvish Mystic and other 1-mana ramp spells... I am guessing there is a reason for this.
Quote from Hemlock »What [d]o you think about the new Vivien for a bit of redundancy?
I'd consider Song of the Dryads, Lignify and the new Return to Nature from WAR.
Sort of tying into this, I'd like to see a few more cheap utility/value creatures like Reclamation Sage, Manglehorn and Generous Patron.

As far as disruption goes, it sounds weird and counter-intuitive, but I'm going to recommend Wave of Vitriol. That card is no joke. The amount of games people scoop after it resolves is hilarious, and it really does make things a ton easier for a mono green creature based deck. It's a death sentence for Theros Gods too, which is sometimes nice considering how persistent they can be.
Quote from bobthefunnyYup. It doesn't change zones. It simply holds a sign up saying "I'm not here!" if anything comes looking for it.
