So Evolution Sage has just been spoiled today. 2G

Whenever a land enters the battlefield under your control, proliferate.

Does this have a place in EDH infect? I'm considering it for my Jund infect deck but I'm wondering if it is enough.
Thoughts?
If people are sick of reading about stuff just stop taking part. You have 100% control over what you read. Simic Ascendancy isn't going to get banned just because you didn't tell someone to shut up on the internet.
I've already posted this in the spoliers thread, but some tid-bits..
Although you'd still need the initial amount of loyalty to use some of these abilities, the result can mean that the cost is a lot less, or gain you more loyalty.
That with the Daretti example, at minimum, a deck could have three artifacts land (Great Furnace, Tree of Tales, and Darksteel Citadel). This means that upon reaching the emblem, the deck has three lands will always cause three triggers for Evolution Sage during each player's turn.
With a deck that has access to all five colors, you go from three artifact lands to six (Seat of the Synod, Vault of Whispers, Ancient Den in addition to the prior three). Which means that you would have six proliferation triggers per a given player's turn.
With the sacrifice outlet it can be anything that is repeatable and affects a land, artifact, or permanent in general.

But the strength of Evolution Sage with infect, is that you can use land ramp spells, that you gain advantages with or without infect already.
You might just cast Boundless Realms to kill a bunch of players, but it's still a strong spell on it's own.

My Ezuri, Claw of Progress is getting a lot of new toys in this set. This, Neoform and Flux Channeler, it's getting a lot. Any (semi-)repeatable form of proliferate has incredible potential, and there's definitely a demand for it. Viral Drake is currently a $1.35 uncommon purely for the fact that it's a repeatable proliferate.

Lord Windgrace [-3] ability becomes [-1].

Nissa, Steward of Elements [0] can be a [+1] ability at times.
Nissa, Worldwaker [-7] can become a [+] ability.
Xenagos, the Reveler [-6] will be a lot less depending on land ratio hit.
Aminatou, the Fateshifter [-1] if targeting a land will be [0].
Chandra, Pyromaster [0] if hits a land will be [+1]
Chandra, Fire Artisan [+1] if hits a land will be [+2]
Nissa, Who Shakes the World [-8] will be a lot less, probably becoming a [+] ability in some decks.
Nissa, Genesis Mage [-10] will be a lot less depending on land ratio hit.
Nissa, Nature's Artisan [-4] will be less depending on land ratio hit.
Nissa, Sage Animist [+1] can be a [+2].
Tezzeret the Seeker [0] for an artifact land will be [+1].
Ugin, the Spirit Dragon [-10] can be less depending on land you put into play.

Pretty good backup plan to Doubling Season or Deepglow Skate is Evolution Sage + Scapeshift.

In answer to the original posters question, part of the "weakness" of infect is investing in combat orientated spells to push through 30 infect for example for a 4 player game.
But the strength of Evolution Sage with infect, is that you can use land ramp spells, that you gain advantages with or without infect already.
You might just cast Boundless Realms to kill a bunch of players, but it's still a strong spell on it's own.
Cards that make you sacrifice lands to put same(ish) number of lands into play will net some of the most landfall triggers for cost.
