Here’s what you want everything about 60% is by default going in the deck
(Well most actually you can exclude stuff and experiment with lesser used stuff)
As a matter fact she single handily proven I was right on kozilek 2.0 is underrated because of how many times she countered some spells she also cause more decks of kozilek 2.0 to spawn to life
Here’s her deck list if you want to see anything good from it
SO what would you guys think on this combo (If you have it in hand and it plays.)?:
Tap 9 mana for Darksteel Forge making all artifacts indestructible, then pay 6 for mycosynth Lattice making every permanent artifacts and mine are indestructible, Then paying 4 for Voltaic construct, and then another 4 for Nevinnyral's Disk, paying 2 to untap it and then paying 1 and tapping Nev's Disk to destroy all permanents except mine? (Could be played out in two turns if needed Which it probably will.)
I have a Karn, Silver Golem colorless Eldrazi deck that runs as efficiently a possible at generating tons of mana, card advantage, and removal as possible without any Stax pieces.
I will say that I will likely change out the general to one of the Kozileks for the reasons that Phrox points out; their draw potential is amazing and is often exactly what the deck needs once it gets going. I only run Karn for nostalgia reasons even though it makes a nice plan B as well by animating mana rocks and smashing your opponent with them.
Both Juwdah and ISBPathfinder have solid Kozilek lists posted in the multiplayer decklist forum. I suggest you check them out.
The key I found is to not get too cute. When I first tried out colorless decks I had a Charge counter theme and a Myr tribal theme, but neither one of those was worth building a deck around. When you are colorless, everything is harder and more expensive to do so once you commit to generating mana en masse you really need to commit to having some hard-hitting threats.
Yeah, the cost of a lot of the really good colorless cards is high because they are popular in Modern Tron and Affinity decks. Cards like Karn Liberated, Ugin, the Spirit Dragon, and Mox Opal are in this predicament, but you can have a good colorless deck without them.
The other price issue is the older fast mana cards like Metalworker, Grim Monolith, and Ancient Tomb that have been steadily climbing in price as they get more scarce, but there are enough other fast mana options that don’t cost as much that will still make the core of a good deck.
The bigger issue is cards like Paradox Engine and the Eldrazi titans that have no replacement and have risen to the $30+ level. I would suggest proxying those till you are sure you really want/need them.
