how would i get a deck like that together? any thoughts on whether or not i should go doran or arcades? my thoughts are that arcades gives me blue cantrips, draw/card sifting, and artificial evolution, but black gives me straight-up tutors and conspiracy. not sure which route is better.
this is obviously a very OP and broken deck in the making, but it'd be awesome if anyone's tried this, to give som insights as to how to build this.
To me Arcades seems better to have both Arcane Adaptation and Xenograft, where black only gives you Conspiracy. White gives you enchantment tutoring and Mirror Entity to act as an additional Conspiracy.
I would only run black if you have the budget for all the expensive black tutors to get Conspiracy.
Also, Arcades is a better card most of the time than Doran.
Do you want the deck to be all-in combo or do you want it to be a value deck that combos off sometimes?
Arcades doesn't let you hit with your combo creatures unless you have some way of giving them defender. The Conspiracy effects are only relevant for Spiritualist, which also turns it into a minimum 4-card combo, so I wouldn't make my decision based on that. You get High Alert with Arcades, which just makes your combo more convoluted than with Doran. If that's what you're after (meta concerns, etc) then it could be a good choice. Otherwise, Doran's ability to work with all of your combo creatures as well as letting you run other non-defenders for value seems like it outweighs Arcades cantripping, and you're getting good things from either color. Black also has significantly more tribal cleric support than blue.

oh yea, i meant for this to be an ultra-difficult combo to pull off. the idea is that i'm going to go through a million loops to get a crazy combat turn. Sort of like the infamous great wall 7 or 10 card combo (and requires a good 6-7 turns of actual buildup).
I'm tempted to actually switch to karona, false god 5-colour, with every toughness-matters card and tutors to get this to work. we'll see how the build works; it's going to be a very wonky ride!
Daru Spiritualist, task force, angelic protector (with the spiritualist being the big hitter), some sort of conspiracy or arcane adaptation, and shaman en-kor, outrider en-kor or spirit en-kor to massive-bump them bums to one-shot the table. smashing someone to death with a absolutely massive shield sphere seems pretty fun.
