Simple question. Name a card that you don't own but wish you did so you could play it in a Commander deck (as opposed to wanting it for a collection or to sell or something), and explain why you would like to have that card.
For me, it's Nether Void. I used to have one, pulled from a pack back in the day. When I dropped out of magic around the time of Weatherlight, I sold off my Moxen and my Black Lotus, but I kept most of the rest of my cards. When I got back into Magic and started playing Commander (right before Innistrad) I sold and traded off a lot of old stuff that was now pretty valuable in order to catch up on the years of cool cards I missed out on. Some of it, like Bazaar of Baghdad, Library of Alexandria, Time Walk and a bunch of copies of Force of Will, I don't miss at all, but I do wish I hadn't gotten rid of Nether Void, because it turns out it would go perfectly into my single Stax deck (Nath). I figured I could always pick up another copy some day if I really wanted it, but I never got around to it, and the way cards on the reserved list have shot up in value, I doubt I ever will now.
Timetwister, hands down. It is such a useful card and I think it could be an auto include in blue, but Mizzex definitely wants one, as does my cube. Just about every other high dollar card I don't own would be situational and require a specific deck, like Tabernacle or Workshop.
+1 for Timetwister. Just so I could have a piece of P9 that I could also use.
I've got most of the other high-cost cards that are both legal and good (in a certain deck). Hell, I've got 3 Workshops between Karn, Traxos, and Mishra.
Mostly, I'm pretty good. None of my decks desperately need anything completely unobtainable. I guess Glissa could make use of a Metalworker and Survival of the Fittest, Zedruu would like a Time Spiral (but does fine without it), Dralnu could use a Force of Will. If it had to be a card I slot into a deck I already own, that's pretty much it.

Nether Void is a lot of fun to play, but it only can be supported in certain decks (usually heavy stax variants or a Mishra, Artificer Prodigy deck).
As someone trying to stick with foil-only, it'll probably be just a Reserved List card with a foil, like Survival of the Fittest, Gaea's Cradle and Grim Monolith are the ones I immediately thought of, in that order.
Just as an extra, if I had to choose a nonfoil card instead, I'd probably just go for a Alpha Gauntlet of Might for my Ryusei deck. Yes, I know Timetwister is P9 and powerful, but there's something about playing Gauntlet in a Mono-Red deck that appeals to me more than just throwing a powerful P9 card into utility use if I had to pick 1 nonfoil after all.
That being said, if we go the absurd mile, if I could wish for Shichifukujin Dragon to play in Ryusei instead of the Gauntlet (or anything above, actually) I definitely would, just the sheer reputation of getting to actually play that card would be worth the any loss of power-level in the deck. I mean everything else above has "inferior/budget" options to go by, but nothing is more unique than getting to play a 1-of card in the entire game.
Shichifukujin Dragon to complete my dragon collection and so I can struggle to pronounce that thing's name in public when I actually play it just to show off.
Zodiac Dragon also to complete my dragon collection and there's probably some weird shenanigans I can do with its ability, as slow as said shenanigans may be when you read the oracle version of the rules text.
The Abyss Love everything about the card and I'll definitely never own one.
Story about The Abyss.
A while back, a friend cast The Abyss on turn 2 or 3. By turn 5, he was complaining about it effectively preventing him from casting his Commander. He would not stop asking the the rest of the table to destroy it for him.
Eventually I gave in, cast Demonic Tutor, and removed his Abyss... by playing The Abyss.
Another game, an opponent was playing Elves, and had been hamstrung by my Abyss. Eventually, he drew into Naturalize (or equivalent), and destroyed it. That same turn, he then played a Concordant Crossroads. I think he had it in hand for several turns.
Aside from the 3 ABU duals that I can never afford now.... The Abyss Love everything about the card and I'll definitely never own one.
The Abyss is already in my Nath stax deck. I slotted it in when black Braids got banned from being in the 99 when Banned as a Commander went to just Banned. It's not Braids, but it's very solid. I think Nether Void would complement it wonderfully.
I only play one stax deck, and I only play that occasionally since it isn't a favored playstyle among the people I usually play with, but I figure if I am going to have just one, it might as well be a damned good one, and I've been playing and tuning it long enough that I don't think there are very many cards that would actually make it tangibly better (as opposed to merely different in some manner that might be advantageous but would also be less effective in some other aspect of how the deck currently functions). Nether Void is the one exception that comes to mind, probably largely because I used to own it as much as anything.
The two biggest regrets of my Magic career that goes back to Ice Age:
- selling my judge foil Gaea's Cradle for $300
- choosing a set of Tarmogoyfs over a Tabernacle as a Christmas present to myself.
Timetwister for me too. I have basically everything else.
If I'm including foils, I'd honestly play ONS foil Polluted Delta more than Twister. Last original printing pack foil fetch I need to have the full set.

Bazaar of Baghdad. I have so many deck ideas that could really benefit from it, but I was a little late to the party on getting one before it's price spiraled out of control.
Other than that, I'd kill to have a full playset of all of the ABUR duals (especially even one copy of the ones I'm missing like Volcanic Island or Tropical Island).
Mishra's Workshop I guess. I had the opportunity to get one earlier this year but I instead opted to get a second playset of ABU 3rd ed duals finished off instead because workshop felt a little too narrow for the money as to where I could / would use it.

I have officially moved to MTGNexus. I just wanted to let people know as my response time to salvation decks being bumped is very hit or miss.
For sure Tabernacle is at the top of my list.
More realistically, I would like Underground sea and volcanic island to finish the set of ABUR duals. But, their prices are crazy and I cannot justify it to myself.
Shichifukujin Dragon to complete my dragon collection and so I can struggle to pronounce that thing's name in public when I actually play it just to show off.
For the longest time, Phyrexian Tower and Phyrexian Altar had been this for me, thank God UM happened. Teferi, Temporal Archmage is a pain to find in my area (in general all cards from all precons are, because you won't find the precons themelves anywhere and those who did get them are playing the cards and won't sell them), which is a pity because he could be so good in my Aminatou Superfriends deck.
